Right - empty out the useless optrex from the bottle and put some olive oil in there and use it to dribble olive oil into your ear. Its what DH has to use to soften up the wax in his ear before going for a syringe...

DH used Otex for 5 days - got progressively worse. Went to see nurse - used olive oil for 3 days (got better) then syringed and was sorted. Then had to go get syringed a year later. And a year later. etc.

I'd give up on the otex and go the olive oil route if I were you.
