GettinTrimmer · 14/04/2010 10:34

I'm making pizza as well today Blondes. And cheescake! Not the infamous chocolate one but a quicker Nigella recipe. Do you make the pizza dough?

Have x5 coming for lunch.

I also still have a sore bum from doing Davina's bottom fit on Monday!

JODIEwantsanewname · 14/04/2010 11:45

Hello ladies,

I made a pizza the other night, although with Low Low cheese, it was delish! Tomatoe Puree, Pesto, mushrooms, onions and cheese. served with a yummy green crunchy salad. Was low in cal and yummy (made my own base) was 313 cals per portion. of Pizza

I'm doing alright, still running , but need a great big kick up the bum to get me back on track. I have that beautiful dress in my wardrobe and I don't think there is a hope in hell of fitting in it in 3.5 weeks Might have to change it for the size bigger

Why don't I have any willpower [scream and bang fists emoticon]

Fruitgums · 14/04/2010 11:59

Thanks ladies. This is my first weight loss in 3 weeks

Yummy for pizza, can't have any as I have to syn it on the SW plan and I would rather have my daily peanut butter & jam sandwich in the evenings

Jodie - how long have you been running? Have you lost much weight due to the running?
I'm on week 9 of the beginner running programme & haven't really lost much weight..... but this could be due to my pigouts!

Also Jodie, is the dress one size too small?

Poohbearsmom · 14/04/2010 15:15

Want pizza hope everyone havin a nice sunny day am terribably bold and have made a choc cake for dh but will have to sample... Mmm...
Jodie sounds like detox diet time, ya could still do it and you will look lovely even ya do go for the bigger size!

JODIEwantsanewname · 14/04/2010 15:49

So sorry for the big me post earlier, was feeling abit with myself.

Fruitgums I haven't lost any extra weight by running, I'm doing the C25k programme and tonight is the first run of week 3, but I do feel better with myself for getting out there
I was doing SW but it didn't seem to be working, I didn't like the fact you couldn't earn yourself extra points/syns/cals for exercising But I do like the recipes in the magazines and cook them most days.
The dress is a size 12, and although I squeeze fit into most size 12's this seems to be very small. I have about 3 inches on the bust/back to go, my legs/bum and waist seems to be OK. {wails} Its such a beautiful dress,

bebe I bought the SW mag yesterday, it's got some great recipes in it this month! Can't weight to try them

PBM You are right, detox for me I think Any ideas???

bebejones · 14/04/2010 17:09

Jodie - Am doing the potato & spinach bake tonight for tea. Have put some chopped cooked turkey bacon on top as well though, just to make it a bit more meal like. (DH doesn't consider things a meal without meat!!! ) How nice does that steak sandwich on the last page look?!?!

Detox - try drinking loads of water to see if that helps shift some of the weight a bit. A friend of mine told me that drinking some warm water with fresh lemon juice in the morning (before breakfast) helps flush toxins out of your body. Think it's a Gillian (poo woman) McKeith thing.

Have had a killer headache today, took 2 ibuprofen & 2 paracetemol to make a dent in it this morning. Have drunk about a litre of water as well already. Think I might be iron deficient. So will go and get some spatone I think. I have massively chapped lips & they are cracking at the corners & very painful. Been like this on & off about a month now. Aparently it's a sign of B vit & iron deficiency. (Have B wits in my muliti vit so figured the iron would be worth a go) Be interesting to see if anything shows up in the blood tests I had last week?!

Potato bake is smelling good. Best go lay the table & get things organised!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2010 17:22

trimmer - erm no was a sains pizza base

bebe hope headcahe is better soon

i have sinned soooooooooooooooooooooo bad, been at a easter egg party all day and basically eaten crap all day x100

GettinTrimmer · 14/04/2010 17:51

I didn't end up doing pizza, just got some tiger bread, salads, new pots and cold meat.

Then cheesecake (but only a small portion!)

We are on our 14th week on this thread so off that naughty step Blondes!!! When not doing this a quick fix temporary blips happen. We are all doing brilliantly, keep going everyone, in the summer when as Piste says we all emerge as beautiful butterflies it will be worth it!

jodie I am not much of a detox person, but on Anna Richardson's 14 day drop a dress size (1200 cals is too strict for me though) she says No Wheat, No Dairy, No carbs after 6pm, No potatoes, No alcohol (for 14 days).

bebe Hope you are feeling better soon, I had headache last night and was feeling sick, didn't read ds's stories as I was concerned about being sick (but I was fine). Are they related to hormones?

GettinTrimmer · 14/04/2010 17:58

I don't think I could detox properly as I love coffee, and tea. .

Got to have some treats. I make my coffee in a cafetiere and sniff it in the packet beforehand.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/04/2010 18:38

Blondes Get off the step now!
Bebe Hope the headache has gone/ is subsiding
jodie...........goodluck with the detox. Three and a half weeks is nearly a whole month away. . It IS a long time though. But.....If you don't make the dress, do not be too down because thisis long haul and you can save itfor the next function. I am tho majorly impressed by you and Fruity's running. I am keen but can only run in the dark!

PBM. Can you pop over with some of that cake? I'll put the kettle on....Maybe GT can come too and sniff the cafetiere..?!!

GT What is Tiger bread?!

Dd made bread today, an old old Delia recipe but tWas yummy. However I cannot overestimate how much mess she made. Unbelievable!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2010 20:00

< from naughty step>

Tiger bread is ( I think) bread with a cheesey top?

I am trying to be good and said no to dh sausage!!!!!

GettinTrimmer · 14/04/2010 20:40

Tiger Bread - like French bread, but the consistency a little heavier, crusty on the outside, in the shape of a big cottage style loaf. My mum gets it from Tesco (or Sainsburys I think, one of the two).

I don't buy it as I would eat a few slices too many, it's a big loaf.

piste I make Delia's pizza bases from How to Cook book 1, never goes wrong.

PBM Your choc cake sounds scrummy. Once small slice won't hurt.

bebejones · 14/04/2010 21:45

Blondes - nearly spat my drink all over the place - no to DH sausage!!

Trimmer - I love Tiger bread, actually I pretty much like any bread! Is on my banned list for now though, especially white bread & bread with cheese!!

Piste - the devastation in your kitchen reminds me of when my DH cooks! Hope DD's bread was nice?

PBM - Pass me a slice of cake?!

Have eaten loads today, including a lot of jelly babies that MIL brought for DD yesterday! They were actually calling to me, I could hear their little voices 'bebe, bebe, eat us'!!

Potato & Spinach bake was really yummy, happy to post recipe up if anyone wants it. Worked it out on Foodfocus as about 340cals per portion. I did have some turkey bacon with mine & half a slice of bread. Will have to so some proper exercise 2moro or I'll be at risk of gaining on Monday. Going by all the picking/snacking I've done last couple of days! Have done a load more housework today though, that had to have burnt some calories right?!

Hope everyone has had a nice evening, I'm being forced to watch football again!!

OP posts:
JODIEwantsanewname · 15/04/2010 07:49

mmmmmm.....Tiger bread

I love that stuff. Is esp. nice dipped in oil and balsamic vineger!

Thanks for your advice ladies, I am now 'enjoying' a cup of hot water and lemon instead of a delicious coffee It will be worth it though, won't it?

I'm off down the shop in a bit to get some wholewheat bread, I don't have a break at work, but I work from 9.30-3 and am allowed to eat at my desk, but nothing messy like soup/salads so I have to take sandwiches. so I figure wholemeal bread will be better for me than white.

trimmer will look at the Anna Richardson's 14 day drop a dress size on the web and see what it entails. I think I could do 1200 if it means I don't eat bread. each slice of white bread is near on 100 cals, so thats only dropping 2 slices a day.

bebe that spinach bake does look delish.

Blondes at DH sausage!!! You are naughty!

Piste running is OK, I was really pleased with myself as it was run 1 of week 3 yesterday and I managed to run for 3 mins!!! Twice!!!! Didn't you run that sports relief mile? I don't think I could run fr a mile straight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2010 09:33

perverts the lot of you!!

if i say i did eat dh sausage last night in the end - what will you all make of that?

woke up at 6am today, bloody typical as day off, where normally i drag my sorry fat butt out of bed at 7.15am

so i have totally cleaned house from top to bottom (have a friend staying tomorrow and felt guitly at state of house) again recently just cant be arsed to do housework

so house is clean, hammmys are changed (they werent impressed being woken up at 8.30 -that middle of the night to them, but tough, they can sleep all day) and now sitting down to a crumpet and lf jam so trying to get back on diet but keep having good then bad days - hopefully will sts tomorrow

jodie well done for cutting out coffee etc, i actually like hot lemon and sometimes drink for the fun of it

can you buy some M&S hold in everything knickers - seems a shame to buy a bigger size asin a few weeks time it will fit you

Poohbearsmom · 15/04/2010 11:08

Passes round (fantastic) choc cake to all with a coffee or a hot lemon whatevers da going preference prob wouldnt have done too much damage with one little slither but what about 3 am doing the bowel prep later for tomorrow so dat'l counter act da damage hopefully... another major bread & coffee lover here tis not good is it...

bebejones · 15/04/2010 13:12

DD keeps leaving her quiche at lunch, and although it is only tiny slices I'm eating it rather than binning it. Sure I will gain this week, I've been picking at bits constantly.

PBM - Thanks for the cake, really wanted a choc cake this morning, could have quite happily stuffed myself with a whole one!!! Not sure what's wrong with me, maybe I'm making up for the caloris I didn't have whilst poorly...that can't be fair!!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/04/2010 13:20

Thanks for the cake PBM, I'll have coffee seeing as you are asking!

GettinTrimmer · 15/04/2010 13:40

PBM glass of water for me as I've had x3 coffees already today. All the best for tomorrow. Do you have to stay in overnight?

blondes You might have played hide the sausage so that you wouldn't eat it. Well done on doing your house, mine's a tip. Your hammys sound sooo cute.

bebe I love quiche, haven't made one for ages so can understand the temptation.

Had a friend around for coffee, she's doing slimfast, very strict but she wants to see quick results, not 1lb a week like she's been doing. I said she's done really well at 1lb a week. Don't like the idea of slimfast myself, but good luck to her.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2010 13:44

yummy cake,i ate 3 slices of lemon drizzle yesterday, plus 2 slices of full fat quiche

hammys have protested at being woken up in the middle of the night and moved the bedding to other side of cage

pbm - hope op goes well tomorrow

and dh sauasge was the 8 inch kind!!!!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/04/2010 15:33

Blondes!!! (think of the calorIes!)

I am now craving quiche, thanks girlies. I picked a crap day to start detoxing, DS1 was up half the night and I have a king headache, might have to succumb to one cup of coffee as I'm out tonight (work quiz night) Not a boozy affair, just a nice chance to catch up outside the office!

Right, off to takle the ironing

PMB Good luck tomorrow x

bebejones · 15/04/2010 15:39

All this talk of sausage really makes me want one of those big battered chip shop ones!!! How much must I be craving food to gloss over the inuendo?!?!

Have made a massive pot of 3 bean chilli for dinner, will be freezing most of it I think as there is masses!

Just had a bizarre moment. Haven't had a chance to shower today. Am looking proper manky in old tracky bottoms & a grubby t-shirt (been doing more housework) had just chopped a particularly strong onion, so had tears streaming down my face, there was a massive knock on the front door. I raced to the door coz DD was asleep & opened it to be greeted with 'Hello I'm Mr X your local MP...'! Was looking a state & he asked me if I alright as I was clearly looking a bit cross & bemused! Of course I couldn't think of anything to ask him while he was stood there. Thought of tonnes now though...typical. Just really caught me off guard!

Have done 20mins Wii Boxing & broke all my records, so feeling knackered and chuffed!!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2010 16:05

it was 100% pure meat - no grissle - does that make a difference?

jodie, detox tomorrow and just drink hot water/lemon all day

bebe - onions dont bother me as wear contacts

im off to the gym later for bc - been 5 days since i last went but sure tomorrow my arms+bum will be on fire again

Poohbearsmom · 15/04/2010 19:17

Thanks for all the good luck wishes should be home again tomorrow night Trim thankfully as the hosp has an outbreak of the vomiting bug so dont want to be if i dont have to be! Id happily have quiche sausages and lemon drizzle right now am camped out in the bathroom with my phone mn'ing next dose at 8
