Oh, you will Blondes. Polish that halo. How on earth did you resist naughty but nice cream cakes?

I will gain this week, after fish and chips and lager on friday, kit kat at lunch today and just had oatcakes and peanut butter. And crisps. Don't know what's wrong with me, really have the munchies.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2010 22:30

Gawd trimmer you have had the munchies 'kicks butt'

I'm in the right frame of mind and being sooooo good so I REALLY want to lose. Will be majorally pissed off AGAIN if I sts again

yes I wanted the cake but knew it would be 5/6 p and that's a meal for me plus got 2 weeks to look kinda trim in my bikini

bebejones · 17/06/2010 07:21

Morning all!

Blondes - Well done on resisting the cream cake! That is amazing restraint!

Trimmer - the muchies get us all at some point! Just step away from the snacks!

Feeling really sorry for myself this morning. Have got an infection in my finger from ripping the nail the other day & my elbow is agony & my hayfever is off the chart! Am falling apart!!

Got to drag myself & DD to Bristol to get stuff I desperately need to finsih all this work for my mum...really don't want to go!

Walked loads yesterday & was super good with my food. Had planned a veg lasagne for dinner but we got in late so didn't have time to do it (had made the sauce in the day) so we will have that tonight. Just need to resist the fairy cakes in the fridge!!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 17/06/2010 09:16

I just heard on the news - the pollen count is high today. Hope your dd naps for you today Bebe so you get some rest. Are you going to the GP about your elbow?

blondes can you send some of the right frame of mind vibes my way? My motivation is not great this week.

Where are you going in two weeks?

If it wasn't for this thread, I would probably stop here and gain. I'm going back in a minutes to look at Piste's trophy again.

Right, some major kicking of arse today. After I've cleared up here I am going running and when I get home doing the 30 days shred toning dvd in an attempt to ward off the gain and sts this week.

piste how's your kitchen coming on? Is the catering sorting itself out?

PBM How's you?? We need some cheering on and some kicks up the butts!

jodie How are you doing?

mummymels how is it going? Not seen you for ages.

murtette hope it is going well.

bebejones · 17/06/2010 11:33

Trimmer - missed my chance to call GP this morning so will have to ring after lunch. No chance of a rest when/if DD naps, far too much to do!

Been and done my shopping & just ordered DDs birthday present online. Going to be making elderflower cordial at the weekend, at the order of my FIL who is over run with elderflowers! So ordered lots of glass bottles & some glass jars. Will be making lots of stuff for xmas pressies in a couple of months so thought it made sense to order jars now & save on postage

Bloody cat has killed a bird & left it on the lawn, there are feathers everywhere! DD & I were going to have a picnic outside today, so we could have a play with the ball as well(exercise for me, tiring activity for her). Not impressed with the cat who is wailing because I won't let him out to play with it...I am not moving it (gross) DH will have to do it!!

GettinTrimmer · 17/06/2010 16:52

Right, I am kicked in the butt

I managed to do 20 mins workout, it was really hard, then went running for 2.3 miles, but was so knackered had to walk the last bit.

I've also seen another job in a school, only 8 hours, but I am having a go at least. Fingers crossed I at least get an Interview this time.

blondes if I remember correctly, when you were fed up at not losing one week, then tried really hard the next, you lost 2lb. Good luck for tomorrow'w weigh in.

You certainly do need a break.

bebe I am impressed at your ability with making cakes/cordials/etc. Wish I could come to tea at your house!

Hope you feel a bit better soon.

PBM I love Yorkshire puds, but mine always come out a bit . How did you do them?

JODIEwantsanewname · 17/06/2010 18:41

Hi all

Blondes at your holiday, when you going?

Bebe well done you, but am another one of your 4lb a week loss, you are an inspiration. Can you come and stay with me for a while and run a Bebe Boot Camp?

Piste hows the renovations going?

Trimmer Well done on your exersise! I;m being so bloody lazy at the moment, need to get a kick start. Might look into what classes are run at my local centre.

I'm off to the big smoke on Saturday night (London Town) I know I;m going to feellike a country bumpkin as its my friends 30th and she works in the 'Media' all her friends are all city media types and super trendy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/06/2010 18:51

trimmer get trimming pmsl

did i mention that i got back into my size 12 jeans but not quite into my sexy suede trousres and that is what i am measuring myself by, tho still need to lose 11 lbs - tho will prob put 11 lbs on on holiday

Murtette · 17/06/2010 19:24

Sorry for not posting yesterday. DD's top two front teeth were coming through and she wasn't very happy about it. It was a bit of a nightmare day. Food was 2 digetives around 5am; 2 weetabix and an apple for breakfast; beetroot soup (looked so much nicer than it tasted!) and toast for lunch; banana and a fairy cake in the afternoon; sausage, mash and beanns for dinner - so much for asking DP to pick up something "healthy" for dinner on his way home!
Today has been porridge for breakfast; vegetable tart and salad for lunch; blueberries and a small slice of walnut cake this afternoon and we're having chicken stir fry with loads of veggies for supper and I'll have a lf yog.
Just doing this this week has made me conscious of how many excuses I come up with for eating treats, e.g. "its on offer and I love it"; "I'm having a bad day and need it to cheer me up" or "a friend is coming around and it would be rude not to have some nice biscuits in". The latter excuse is particularly rubbish as the particular friend has also been moaning about her baby weight.

Bebe - hope your elbow gets better and good luck with the bird

Blondes - fingers crossed that you've lost when you weigh in tomorrow. I'm sure you will have

Gettin - remember how you want to look in those wedding photos! Well done for running so far

Jodie - I haven't dared go to London since DD was born. I find the thought of it intimidating these days!

bebejones · 17/06/2010 20:14

Well I ended up moving the bird...yuk!

MIL invaded came for dinner we had veggie lasagne & salad was v yummy. Quick question, does anyone know if you can use lf creme fraiche in lasagne instead of the cheese sauce?

To all who my 4lb losses, I really think it's a fluke, maybe my scales are faulty. I'm eating healthy but rarely have time to do proper exercise. Chasing my very active toddler & walking everywhere is the most I do day to day. I don't think I sit down that much in a day...except to MN! I seem to have one big loss a month then smaller ones or sts the rest of the time & the big ones stick in your mind! Plus I had a lot more to lose than most of my fellow slinkies!! Everyone is doing really really well, look hopw long we have stuck to it!!

Trimmer - you make me feel tired just thinking about the running! Well done!

Murtette - If you didn't have 'treats' you would be miserable. I always have a little something everyday, it's not so much what you eat, but how much. So if DH has a piece of cake I will have a piece...just a very small piece & then a lf yoghurt or something to fill me up so I don't get more cake IYSWIM?! I don't think your last couple of days sound bad at all really. Sympathies on the teething, DDs top teeth were the worst ones...until the molars came that is! Hope she feels better soon poor thing

Jodie - have fun at your friends 30th!

Blondes - over the size 12s, although my size 14 jeans are getting a bit loose now. The nearly fell down when I chased DD at toddlers yesterday!

Must go do some sewing, gonna be so pleased when I have finished this...it's killing me & I'm so worried I won't get it done in time!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2010 08:22

yes you can use creme fraiche in lasagne etc as sauce, thou obv low far one

murtette, sorry to hear of dd teething, my 3rd dc is getting her moloras and tho not grumpy, she is bit cuddly and eating less but sleeping more

at picking up dead bird, tho i do have to pick up 10.5stone woofas poo which is the size of a horse so think i suffer more

i am and and and [hhm] and and and if there was a pissed off emotion i would be it now!!!

yet again i sts

getting really fucked off tbh, i have tried sooooooooooooo hard and not had cakes/biscuits/wine/cheese and stayed within my points and still didnt lose

bebejones · 18/06/2010 10:40

Blondes - sts is still good, much better than a gain. How much are you having to drink during the day? Maybe try upping your water?! Might help

Did use the spade to pick up the bird but was still gross!

My scales have been a bit odd lately & discovered DD playing on them earlier hope she hasn't broken them! Got a docs appt for my elbow in a bit, might ask to use their scales just to see whats going on! Seeing my least favourite doctor, but he was the only one free he has the bedside manner of an earthworm, apparently he used to be a surgeon!

Gutted that it might rain here later, DH was going to cut the lawns in the morning before his cousin & family come for lunch 2moro & now he won't be able to if it's wet! Weather looking a bit for 2moro which is typical as we had planned a BBQ so all the LOs could play outside. Stupid British summer!!!

I really need to get some focus back on the diet front can feel myself slipping & not being bothered.
So far today I have had: Glass of OJ and lf yoghurt & 2/3 of a Mrs Crimble Macaroon (yummy & at least it was gluten/wheat free) shared with DD!
Plan for lunch is the left over veggie lasagne from last night. (Only about half a portion left.) Then some strawbs & fat free greek yoghurt.
Dinner is going to be a jacket potato with some tuna & salad. Have got a Del Monte smoothie lolly for after my jab tonight. Only 86cals & yummy so will enjoy that!

This is probably an average day for me, any pointers/suggestions?

OP posts:
bebejones · 18/06/2010 12:07

I have golfers elbow!!! Have been prescribed some super strong painkillers & told to rest it as much as possible Feeling super sorry for myself

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 18/06/2010 12:17

blondes when piste comes on, I know she sts for 4 weeks, can appreciate the I think I might even gain tomorrow when I weigh in.

How often do you exercise, taking into account how difficult it is to fit it in when you work a lot of hours.

bebe hope all ok with your elbow. I think we all need to focus on the diet front. Serious kick butt time for me next week!

I can only really suggest as many filling foods as possible, brown pasta/rice, plenty of protein...

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/06/2010 14:27

...and here I am! Only 2 reports still to do, and these are ones that I rejected initially. Also trying to sort out next September?s intake. Very busy ( and that is how I have time to be on here, chatting to you slinkies!)

I stayed the same for weeks, I think it was 4, really really wore me down, especially when I was making an effort, because you do start thinking if there is any f*ing point? But there IS a point, and I am sure that sometimes our bodies need time to consolidate before losing weight again. But Blondes ( sits on the sofa and passes a gin encouragingly ) I do feel your pain. Just don?t give up, I am sure your body is consolidating the changes that you have forced upon it.

I love Tunisia - I am at your fab trip, we are hoping to have a family ?summer? holiday in October Half Term, DC have 2 weeks so we are thinking of saving it for then. We shall see. But Blondes when you get back you will be invigorated! Just enjoy, come back and off we go again.

Bebe You have not had the best of health recently with the viruses and golf elbow and infected fingernails. OW Ow Ow - hope things improve for you. And i see it is jab night tonight Enjoy your lolly after! Our cat likes frogs, but only lively bouncy ones that squeal. It is always me that has to catch them and relocate the little buggers. I am quite sturdy with the dead stuff that comes, I have a trowel handy!

Murtette Good idea to keep a record, as you say, it can be surprising how many treats or whatever slide in, but treats are necessary too. It?s all how much I suppose.

Jodie Enjoy London! Have a great time! I am at your big night out!

GT - When will you know about an interview and what age group is it for? The last interviewing I did was PT maternity cover for Early Years and I could look out the questions we asked if that is of any help to you?

Renovations are going very well, the kitchen is mostly in and the floor is down. We have gone for limestone tiles, as we wanted light and bright, and I really please The kitchen is white and the worktops are oak ( I know I am going to have to look after them!) French doors going in as we speak, but suddenly realised we are going to have to install another cat flap as the current one is on the skip and not much use to my felines!

But do you know, it is FRIDAY !! Wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooo
Have a good weekend, Fathers' Day on Sunday, good luck to those who like me are weighing in on Monday.

laughalot · 18/06/2010 15:38

Very quickly ill post later proud mummy emotion if you look on my profile there is a pic of my ds who won the race at sports day today .

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/06/2010 15:46

Aw. Lovely! Congratlations Small Laughalot!!

GettinTrimmer · 19/06/2010 08:35

Not good news here this week.

I gained 2.5lb.

I am just surprised it is so much

Some serious kick butt exercise for me this week, I am going running this morning, and sticking to 1400 calories per day. I have only lost a total of 1lb since the beginning of May. It just seems like an uphill struggle at the moment.

On a positive note, I could also have put on half a stone since the beginning of May. At least the weight I've lost has kept off.

laughalot lovely picture of your ds. You must be so proud! Well done to him.

piste thanks very much, the job is as a library assistant in a school (primary), they want someone who can communicate an enthusiasm for reading and books to primary school children, which I feel is my strong point. If I get an interview it will take place in second week in July.

Apparently, to get 1 interview you need to apply for an average of 6 jobs, so I will keep going!

Poohbearsmom · 19/06/2010 15:30

Hi
Best of luck with the job Trimmer! Dont worry them few lbs will melt off you very soon with all that running!
Piste your kitchen sounds fab! Id prob wreck the oak work tops myself though (just being lazy id use it as a giant chopping board!)

Bebe you poor love your going through the wars! Hope your feeling a bit better now

bebejones · 19/06/2010 18:21

PBM - feel free to moan!

Laughalot - well done to your DS!

Piste - very of your new kitchen, sounds fab!

Trimmer - got my fingers crossed on the job front for you. Those lbs will come off quick, bet ya!

I feel certain I have gained this week, have hardly exercised at all coz of the poorly elbow & have just had a major BBQ blow out! Plus DD has done something to my scales and not sure they are quite right any more, should have checked weight at doctors but I forgot!

Made Lemon curd today, making elderflower cordial 2moro. My mum joked that I should join the WI, but at 27 I think I still have a few years to go before that!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 20/06/2010 09:32
