Well done Piste

This makes no sense to me at all, but I have lost 1lb! Maybe the weekend was a metabolism booster?! Very odd, but I'm not complaining, had thought I'd be chalking up a gain this week!

Thank you Blondes!

I am also chuffed becuase I've just had 4 weeks I think of sts and i was getting a bit like this

and wanted lots of these..

GettinTrimmer · 14/06/2010 09:41

piste big congratulations from me for being a healthy weight!!! You resisted the now reaping the rewards.

bebe Only 1/2 stone to go until your goal, so you could be there in about 4 weeks.

What plan have you got to maintain? I am still going to weigh in every week.

I am knackered today, the bloody cat woke us up at 4.40am. Dd thinks she needs more attention

bebejones · 14/06/2010 10:52

Piste - being a healthy weight must be fab, can't wait to join you!

Trimmer - Ideally I'd like to lose a bit more weight, my target weight is my healthy weight for my BMI calculation. Will be weighing every week too. Just going to do more of what I've been doing, but maybe start eating a bit more bread! Any loss after my target is an added bonus IYSWIM.

I figure that the less I weigh before TTC the less I will hopefully have to lose to be a healthy BMI again after having a baby... Please all indulge this little fantasy for me!!

Talking of being PG, PBM, where are you, hope you are ok & not being too sick?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/06/2010 13:40

GettinTrimmer · 14/06/2010 14:57

this is dd's bridesmaid dress. She looks adorable in it, has olivey skin and brown eyes so the colour really suits her.

piste your dd's dress sounds lovely.

PBM Yes, the group has shrunk, I counted only about 10 of us left. I don't mind editing.

We need Jodie, Kayz, mummymels to report for duty

Poohbearsmom · 14/06/2010 15:45

O Trimmer its lovely! She is gona look fab have you decided on your own lovely frock yet? Your right its been a while since we saw a few regulars will have to get Piste out in the hunting gear soon

JODIEwantsanewname · 14/06/2010 16:15

I'm here and reporting for duty!

have I missed anything? I have been away forthe past 10 days in Austria, was so lovely! (I've put on 3lbs though )

I did see that PMB is up the duff! Congrats! I'm very happy for you and a bit DH has put a 'breeding ban' on me, and I would love to have at least one more! (he's right of course, we haven't the room or money for a third)

Any gossip? I will try to catch up later but There is so much to read and I have a pile of holiday washing and ironing to do

xxx

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/06/2010 17:48

hope you had a nice holiday jodie and 3 lbs isnt bad for a weeks indulgance

dress is lovely

pbm cheer us on and in less than a year we will cheer you on

Murtette · 14/06/2010 21:23

I sts. Pleasantly surprised as I often go off the rails a bit when I don't weigh in regularly and, with a lot of birthdays being celebrated, there has been a lot of cake. Anyway, it means I have only lost 8lbs in 6 months and whilst a loss is still a loss, its definitely not enough of a loss so, ladies, can I ask that you start being harder on me and telling me off. I need a good kick! As from tomorrow, I'm going to start listing what I eat each day on here as that should make me make better choices (I can't start doing that today as there's the last slice of chocolate cheesecake in the fridge calling out to me!)

Trimmer - that's a gorgeous dress. Have you sorted yours out yet?

Piste - congrats on being a healthy weight. I bet you're feeling smug! How did your DD react when she saw the dress? It sounds as though it should be lovely.

Poohbearsmom · 14/06/2010 23:16

mmm cheesecake tis great you sts now time to shift some lbs murt
Thank you Jodie and lol at "Breeding ban" 3lbs is not too bad for a good holiday you'l have that off in two wks... Glad you had a nice time
Blondes thats really nice of you to say it really would be lovely to still have ye to chat to then

GettinTrimmer · 15/06/2010 09:15

murtette I'll kick yours if you kick mine. Had a bad few days, yes I've been on the cake as well Passion fruit cake in Cafe Nero washed down with cappuccino.

I would say 8lb in 6 months taking into account you've been feeding isn't bad, anything going in the right direction is good, as Piste always says, we're in it for the long haul. And life goes on inbetween the diet.

jodie A gain over holiday period is allowed, stick with us and it'll beat a retreat! Did you go walking, see sights? I can imagine the food was irresistable.

blondes hope all OK, are you still doing bc at the gym? I did aerobics last Tuesday, but today I am meeting some friends not seen for ages in town.

GettinTrimmer · 15/06/2010 09:33

PBM Are you going for scans, etc soon? Stay with us, we need the kicks up bums and cheering on! Take care xx

Poohbearsmom · 15/06/2010 11:07

Morning girlys
it sucks here Trimmer they are sooooo over booked! I booked in wit my maternity hosp and my 1st app was for 17wks and my only scan for 20wks... But my g.p wasnt happy for me to wait for that long as ds2 had rhesus jaundice so im "high risk" this pg (just means il have anti D regularly and they will prob offer more scans to be safe) so she said to ring fetal assessment and tell them etc so she's faxed a letter and now im just waiting to hear when my 1st app will be... Anything's better then 17wks! It just feels so far away... But thats how it is here they leave you to it for the 1st half of your pg! Altho dublin is worse then the rest of the country... O well... Anyways hows everyone today? Nice weather there? We'r off to the park now

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2010 20:35

PBM no scans for first 1/2 thats awful

MURTETTE what was your menu today

TRIMMER yes still doing bc tho working thur so wont then, but will fri and sat

ive been very good this week, apart from curry but only just over sat and did save 4 p yesterday, so i hoping for a loss friday, if i dont then really will be unhappy

had ham+salad s/wich, lf yog, strawberry for lunch

pasta and veg bake for tea

monster munch for treat

Murtette · 15/06/2010 23:49

A bit of an embarrassing menu today as a combo of traffic jams and teeting meant I never made it to the supermarket so I was eating storecupboard basics:

  • 2 x weetabix & a glass of OJ
  • cheese & pickle sandwich
  • pear
  • bowl of porridge, lf yog & another pear

There's normally a bit more variety!

As a positive, I wa babysitting for friends who have a cross trainer this evening so I spent 30 mins on that and it said I'd used 300 cals.

Thanks for the kicking!

PBM - when do they usually give you scans in Ireland? Here its at 12 weeks and 20 weeks. At the 20 week scan, some hospitals let you find out the sex; some don't.

Murtette · 15/06/2010 23:56

Oh, and I had two weightwatcher biscuits and have just made myself a hot chocolate

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2010 00:23

Not a bad menu tho really need a decent meal with carbs/protein/veg and not porridge for tea

but saying that it's a good breakie so why shouldn't you have for tea. Low fat and filling

plenty of fruit but needs some veg as well

bebejones · 16/06/2010 07:58

Morning all!

Murtette - that wasn't too bad, but could have done with a little less 'sweet' stuff I guess! But seeing as it was just what you had in I think it's fairly good going!

PBM - that is awful that they let you go that long before even seeing you! Hope your GP can get them to see you sooner! Like Murtette said here you get 2 scans (12 & 20 weeks) & I saw my MW at 10weeks (had seen GP before that) and see the MW every month & once a week in the last 6 weeks!

Got a full on day here today & DD was awake at 5.15! It's my mums 50th Birthday today! Feel a bit that I'm not with her, but we are going next week! My elbow is agony & def gonna have to ring docs, thinking it might be tennis elbow (obviously not from playing tennis!!) it hurts all the time! Not been able to do my press ups for days now which isn't helping my very wobbly arms!

Just had a glass of OJ & some specialK for brekkie. Must get on, have got toddler group this morning & going to walk so need to leave extra early!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 16/06/2010 11:18

KWYM about wobbly arms bebe.

Has your dd dropped her daytime nap? If so, at least she will probably go to sleep early after such an early start.

I was doing really well with my exercise dvd 30 days shred with press ups, etc, but it seems to have gone to pot.

Have just done Davina's kick fit for 30 minutes.

murtette After you've been shopping of course, I found a good way to feel full is to have some sort of protein at every meal.
You did well yesterday though, did you feel hungry, or did the porridge do the trick?

Boring today, I have to clear up, I am not cut out to be a housewife...

bebejones · 16/06/2010 11:51

Trimmer - DD seems to be hit & miss with naps, sometimes she has quite a long one, sometimes none at all! All part of her growing up I guess

My arms have always been horrid even when I was super skinny I always hated my arms.

I have lost my Davina dvd, I think DD has put it somewhere!

Managed to avoid the cake at toddlers this morning, it's easier for me I think coz I don't drink tea or coffee so tend to just avoid the kitchen!

I am struggling with being a housewife too...I hate cleaning it is just not in my nature to be tidy. My mum always says a creative mind is a messy one! Think there is probably some truth in that! Got a little video on my phone of DD saying 'Happy Birthday Granny' and sent it to my mum, she said it has made her day!

Oh well, back too it!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2010 22:02
