Blondeshavemorefun · 20/05/2010 09:19

MELS i have done the same, as i read mn if not been on for a while, then write name on emial and add comment, then copy and paste

tho your is much more excat then mine!!!

i sinned badly yesterday, was at a friends for lunch, was a bastard buffet tho did eat a lot of saladas well asother bad things and then out for proper pizza in evening and wine

had a manic day at work,mb got stuck on a tube and was over an hour late home, while i was at station wondering where she was as phone was going on ansa mac as had no signal being underground

eldest went for play and tea at school friends, only to find out in the car at 6 when i picked up that she asked me what was for tea, apparently she wasnt fed at friends

sent a text to mb telling her i was ahhhhhhhhhhhh not knowing that mb was stuck under ground

anyway went to local shell garage by train station and picked up pre packed sandwich/baby bels and banana for her tea , poor wee thing,so she had gone from lunch at school bout 12 to nothing as didnt even have a drink/snack after school

so i was going out anyway and NEEDED wine and pizza,so today MUST be good as sure wontbe losing weight tom

sun is shining, so will do somehousework, change both spare beds as have got friends staying sat night (and more wine/bad food) and then will sit in garden and chill

have fun all x

Morning all

mummymels Glad you found out what's wrong with your dd and she has the antibiotics. It must have felt good having a break at the weekend!

I've kept my dd off school today, she was awake in the night again coughing, it just won't go - just a cold but don't want her getting overtired and picking up something else.

bebe Really nice isn't it when people notice at places like the toddler group The mums at the school gate have mentioned I look slimmer.

Dh's niece has MS, she's just ran a 10K race and is on medication. As PBM says, you're doing great, sure it will all work out.

PBM I heard the legend that St Patrick banished snakes in Ireland. I can't think I've ever seen one in the wild over here.

Welcome back on the wagon btw I am hanging on in there and hoping for some kind of loss on Saturday. Got the munchies last night and had ryvitas/cheese and houmous, but kept off the wine!

blondes at your eldest not being fed. How old is she?

Are you still able to do bc? Sure with all the rushing around damage from buffet and pizza will be minimised. I cooked pizza for the dc on Monday and had a half.

Not sure about my weight loss saturday!

I meant to count how many weeks we have been going, must be about 19 or something by now. We are doing brilliantly

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/05/2010 19:59

Eldest is 7.5 and enjoyed her picnic tea in car

yes still doing bc if not working. Couldn't go tonight as worked but will go tom and sat

think I will sts tom as I really did enjoy and eat my pizza last night and the several large glasses if wine were yummy but hope not to gain

got friend staying sat night and again will be wine

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/05/2010 06:39

Morning all!

I come back after a couple of days and this thread has gone MAD!!!!! I shall need all weekend to read it!!

It is going to be a glorious weekend and we have Got such a busy one that I have actually had to write down what everyone is up to and where everyone has to be or I don't think we'll make it

we are nearly at the sixth months marker- we are all so amazing!

I was so chuffed to be in my M&s size 12 jeans until I read something about how they have more flattering sizes. So I slid into GAP and next to do some research and I could wear their size 12 jeans too. So was very pleased. They are certainly snug but wearable.

Any must go and test DD on her Latin, they have a big test today hence why I am up at 6.30.

Good luck for weighins everyone

piste x

mummymels · 21/05/2010 07:20

Bebe ? Lol Bebe, now I expect essays from you from now on! With children sometimes you have to do what is for an easier life. Thanks for describing your symptoms. That makes perfect sense. I really hope these injections do stop your relapses. I hope you didn?t mind me asking. And you are NOT whinging at all when you are perfectly entitled to if you wanted to. I hope you managed to get everything done yesterday that you planned to do.

PBM ? That makes sense now that you say it about totally fine, I really should have worked that out for myself! Oh yes, I never thought I would be pleased to hear the words pasta and pizza again!

Blondes ? I probably do spend too long writing replies. I need to learn to summarise a bit better. Never mind about a day of sinning, I am sure you will be back on track again now. What a pain you had yesterday. Sorry but who is MB, I?ve not heard that one before? Your poor DD not being fed at her friends. How on earth can someone leave children all that time without giving them something to eat or drink.

Trimmer ? I hope your DD is on the mend with some rest. Unfortunately the NCT conference is not really a break. It was a break from the kids but it is really full on and I am still tired now. We start with breakfast workshops at 8am and it is one thing after another all day long and then out for meals in the evening then starting again early the next morning and silly me got lost on the way there as well so was driving around Telford for 2 hours before I realised the hotel was round the corner from where I was 2 hours ago when I first came off the motorway!

Piste ? That is great that you can fit into size 12 in shops that are less generous with their sizes. You must be feeling great. I am also looking forward to the lovely weekend. We have friends coming round tomorrow so plan to be in the garden with them. Not sure about Sunday yet but DH is working most of the day.

bebejones · 21/05/2010 13:41

Warning Winge alert!!!

It's bloody boiling here (I don't 'do' hot weather) I have tried on every single pair of summer trousers & every single skirt I own! They are ALL too big!! Last year at least half of them were too tight! Whilst I should be pleased at the fact I am too slinky malinky () to wear them I am that I have no cool clothes to wear! I have 2 pairs of jeans that fit me & that is it! Have resorted to rolling them up as is too hot to wear them full length with my beloved Uggs! Going to be even hotter over weekend, I have nothing to wear!!!!

Winge over!

Blondes - at the LO not being fed! Not even a snack!! Poor thing!

Piste - am in a 14 DP jeans (I like their fit on my ample bottom) but the GAP size '18' jeans are only just getting too big! Weird! Think GAP ones have less curve to them & my bottom gets a bit stuck!! Will have to give the Next & M&S ones a go! Can't wait to be a size 12 again, been about 8 years!

Trimmer - hope DD is feeling a bit better? Just had a look at the calendar, if you count the week beginning 4th Jan as week 1 we are currently on week 20!! Aren't we marvellous?!

Anyone else discovered that their body shape is completely different after having children? I used to have a fabby hourglass figure pre DD (even when a bit bigger) but now I am definately pear shaped!

Have made up some Ainsley Harriott (cheating) cous cous, am having Quorn burgers & salad for dinner so thought the cous cous would be nice with that. Had a piece of lemon cake with my PG friend today, would have been rude to make her eat it on her own! But she does live a 10min walk away at the top of a steep hill so figured I'd probably have cancelled out the cake by walking there & back pushing DD in the blistering heat!!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 21/05/2010 14:54

Afternoon all

bebe Wow! At your jeans all too big. I know you were having a winge, but better that than winging about everything being too small

20 weeks? That's brill

Luckily I have summer clothes waiting for me to fit into, especially tops.

DD fine but at least she got through the night without coughing, just on her throat she's well in herself.

I don't think my body shape has changed enormously since having dc, I always was an apple shape.

piste big congrats on the size 12s. Hope your dd's latin test was OK. I have my French exam on Monday.

blondes How was weigh in today?

bebejones · 21/05/2010 15:28

6 skirts & 4 pairs of linen trousers & 1 pair cropped jeans...all heading to the charity shop I have tops that fit thankfully but an I make do with 2 pairs of jeans until I need smaller bottoms again? Might have to have a scout in the shop to see if there is anything for me!!

Blondes - 2nd Trimmer, how was weigh in?!

Trimmer glad your DD seems to be on the mend.

OP posts:
bebejones · 21/05/2010 15:29

that was, can I make do...brain going faster than fingers again!!

OP posts:
Poohbearsmom · 21/05/2010 16:44

hello my dears hows all doing?
Bebe tis wonderful givin your stuff to charity someone will be made very happy by finding your lovely clothes and ya never know ya might find sumit nice too! My little sister just finished up working in a charity shop she said they used to get in some fab stuff...
Trimmer hope dd is ok?
Mels your conference sounds full on alright! But ya know what they say a change is as good as a rest... Never believed that one though...
Blondes?? Tell us! And your poor lo that is shockin bet mb was well p'd off when ya told her esp after gettin stuck on da tube!
Piste hope dd exam went well my gosh ye must have a great spectrum of subjects to choose their we only had eng, irish and french as an optional in my school! I did french for a yr had such a crap teacher changed over to art instead and loved it but really lucked out not having another language would come in so handy when in algeria cause they are all fluent in french but sure ya never know when your a ikle teenybopper
My boys are both asleep on me at the mo (will not be an easy task gettin em to sleep tonight...) so iv one on each arm and i have my phone in one hand mn'ing and the remote in the other with gilmore girls on and a lovely warm breeze blowing in tis blizz altho i am begining to loose feeling in my typing arm....
Well this wk i Have been to see three preschools did not like the one i saw yesterday at all (smelled really bad of mould!) the first one i saw today was lovely reminded me of Balamory nursery and the staff were all very friendly and the kids were havin their snack and were happy and jolly and i walked out totally set this is the one but then i went to the next one and it was all mod con huge out door area with all new swish cool stuff, the kids were a bit wild when i went in but then the teacher went over to a diff part sat on the floor and started singing very loudly and they all came running to sit round in a circle and sat quietly while they all took turns saying what activity they had done all morning twas very impressive then then went doing work books and my two were outside playin on the slides and stuff when the others joined them 15min later, they seemed really happy and well looked after but this place doesnt want them doing the 3hr free preschool which our gov have brought in and want them to do a min of 4 hrs and parents cover the rest which at their rates is not cheap... She gave me a 30pg long parent guidelines book and a 5pg medical and consent form thingy with soooo many rules and regulations... Really liked the place but maybe bit ott and should go with my gut and pick the other place which was bright and airy oldish but grand outdoor toys and had lots of lovely indoor stuff too, both do a ratio of one teacher to 8kids altho the second place uses the forbel/high scope method and the other will be montessori... Agh! How do i make up my mind?? I am the worlds most indecisive person and eating out with me drives ppl mad, if i cant pick a sandwich without deliberations how da hell do i decide about preschools and schools! Help me!!
On the diet front i was doin good till i had a slip and had chocy spread on granery bread mmm very naughty
omg really cant feel my fingers any longer...
So anyways what was i gona say... Ammmm... ADORE you all and hope ye enjoy a lovely weekend of sunshine and fun
pbm
xxx

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/05/2010 17:36

sorry girls, been a busy blonde sunbathing

i sts but happy with that as did scoff a pizza and have wine

MELS mb is mum boss

PISTE fab you are in size 12's

BEBE lovely to have sun i love it!!!!

PBM glad to see you can multitask, wake up boys or they wont sleep tonight - nurserys arnt allowed to say they want you to do 4hr sessions, or assuming you get 15hrs, 5 lots of 3hrs, then do 4 days of 4 and pay for 1 hr and have one day at home/go out etc - saying that, a day of my middleone would drive mb and i insane

TRIMMER glad dd is getting better

SARAH hows the diet going

GettinTrimmer · 22/05/2010 07:33

Morning all

Weighed in this morning. Have gained 1lb

I think it's all muscle

Need to make a big effort this week, as I've not lost anything at all this month.

Just given myself a goal of losing 9lb by the beginning of August, hopefully that should make me comfortably a size 12.

How's everyone today?

bebejones · 22/05/2010 09:07

What a beautiful day! Going to make DH do the garden today!!

Had a sneaky weigh in today, have lost 4lbs!!! No doubt I will have put some of that back on by Monday! Must be some kind of fluke, so not going to count it!

1lb on isn't bad Trimmer lol at muscle!!

Maybe if I help DH in the garden I can keep this 4lbs off...

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 22/05/2010 09:28

aww trimmer ((Hugs)) but sure it is muscle

bebe - you think you have lost 4lbs omg so

there is no hope for me this weekend, got girly friends staying (both have a few probs with jobs/men etc and there will be tears and wine - not sure which order) and out for a meal

im off to the gym now but sure will NOT be losing next friday, tho will be very good apart from today

enjoy the sun all

bebejones · 22/05/2010 10:21

Blondes - watch this space, will be 1lb loss by Monday...DH is on about getting a chinese tonight!! Have been so active this week so must have sweated it all off. Who needs to exercise when you have a toddler to chase!!

OP posts:
bebejones · 22/05/2010 15:41

Just spent an hour & a half helping DH in the garden, digging & putting soil down to level the lawn. Am officially knackered now. It is too hot to do gardening! Logged it as exercise on ff & I am in negative net calories!!!! So going to eat a hunk of french stick & have pizza for tea! (Vetoed chinese!!)

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/05/2010 08:10

oh dear god - ate garlic bread, izza and wine last night

was yummy but sooooooooooooooooooo need to be good now!!!

GettinTrimmer · 23/05/2010 08:52

You and me both blondes

Had wine, breadsticks, crisps and cheddars in front of telly last night. I don't even have the excuse of having friends round!

I am going to write down the reasons why I want to lose another stone and pin them up by my bed - it's staying focused after 20 weeks that's getting a bit challenging for me....

bebejones · 23/05/2010 09:21

Blondes - snap!! Had pizza & garlic bread too (no wine though )

Trimmer - I am finding my focus is slipping too, just really want a big blow out of something hideously bad & to eat an entire choc cake or something! Found myself lingering by the cream cakes in Tesco yesterday & quite literally had to drag myself away!

I am loving the sunshine, but not the heat. Makes me tired & grumpy, I think it makes my MS worse. Poor DDs bedroom is sort of in the roof at the back of our house & gets the sun all afternoon, it was 26.2 when I put her to bed last night, just don't know how to cool it down.

More gardening to do today, off to Garden centre in a bit to get more compost! Will be slapping on DDs factor 50 so that I don't end up lobsterised...I am very very pale & just dont go brown at all!

OP posts:
Poohbearsmom · 23/05/2010 10:12

Bebe i only have to think bout sun and i burn ppl often ask me "are you ok? Your looking very pale..." im like yup thats just my normal colour... And they go "oooooo" in a kinda sympathetic manner... Im somewhere between boiled milk and a corpse
all da yummy food going around here! But stop it now all of you or ye will be kicking yer selves come weigh day!!

off subject (as usual) does anyone know how to get rid of bubbles off a lamanet (sp?) floor? I found one last wk and a really big one today! Dh said accusingly its from leaving the mop thingy too wet... But how da hell do i fix it? Preferably before he gets home from work

Murtette · 23/05/2010 16:53

Hello ladies

I hope you're all having a good weekend.

Bebe - I laughed at your whinge! I spotted some linen trousers in Sainsburys the other day for about £10. Maybe its worth getting a pair to tide you over as having nothing to wear is a horrible feeling and you must have boiled in your jeans this weekend.

Gettin - I'm not surprised you feel as though you're losing your focus a bit. You've done brilliantly for 20 weeks now. The weather should help you as salad tends to be more tempting in the summer and its easier to go for walks - oh, and there's more flesh exposed!

Mels - hope you've recovered from the conference. I'm glad you shared your secret as to how you remember so much about us all!

I had a cheeky weigh in on Friday and had lost 2lbs but think that I will have put those on this weekend as I cleaned out the kitchen cupboards yesterday and in the process found all sorts of goodies which I'd forgotten about and have now eaten

bebejones · 23/05/2010 17:47

Think I have put the 4lbs back on in one go...grilled (George) Aberdeen angus burger.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Got a little bit of wor to finish off in garden...here's hoping all the shovelling I did earlier is enough to counteract the burger!!

Waves to eeveryone!

Murtette - know how you feel, I had a cheeky weigh & now wish I hadn't as I'm sure I shall be hacked off/disappointed 2moro!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/05/2010 17:56

Hmmmmm well blondes is now brown and tanned I live for the sun tho use cream and will go a lovely golden colour

we spent the morning at the park and afternoon at the pub. All outside and I look rather sexy and def thinner. As a tan does that. Just as well as been soooooooo bad thus weekend and HAVE to be good now all week

but hey I have a suntan

my friend on the other hand now looks like a lobster she didn't cream!!!!!

laughalot · 23/05/2010 18:34
