Right, got abit more time now, I've just re-read my last post and of course I meant DS1 and DS2 I have no daughters, just very loud and playful boys!

Altough I can't fit into said dress I'm not that upset as I'm happy with what I have achieved so far, I'm going on holiday to Austria on 5th June, 4 weeks today, so I think I'll aim to be at 10st 3 by then, thats 1lb a week. I'll be more than happy with that

PMB welcome back we missed ya!

Trimmer well done on loss today,

bebe don't do what's so hard to undo! Step away from the sweeties! (mind you saying that, 3 weeks on de-tox I am craving something naughty, but there will be a big buffet and lots of wine at the races tomorrow)

I've been to Morrisons this morning and done a BIG shop, lots of nice, healthy things jammed in the fridge now, am going to try some more SW recipes this week, a tuna pasta bake and some salmon burgers, with Lime mayo and Beef Strog (again) DH did the SW chilli the other night and it was yummy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/05/2010 18:36

hi guys

bebejones · 09/05/2010 08:36

Blondes - well done on passing your course!

Jodie - have a nice day at the races! Beef strog sounds good, do you have a recipe?

Have had a bad breakfast...croissant and jam! About 400cals!! Shall have to extra extra good for the rest of the day! Just really really fancied it. Will be amazed if I lose 2moro but can blame AF for all the badness this week & heave my sorry butt back on the wagon next week! Did lose loads the week before so can't grumble!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 09/05/2010 10:47

blondes My course was a couple of years ago, I've got my certificate somewhere. I remember the advice on what to do if a child is unconscious (vaguely) but really need to refresh. Did you cover burns, etc?

PBM Thanks, interesting to hear what happens in Ireland. Who is the president?

I have some cooking to do today - it's my dad's birthday tomorrow, I have a ww cake to make with 'half' sugar and low fat spread. It has rhubarb and low fat yogurt in the middle - but I am substituting double cream as a treat!

bebe I love croissants and also pain au chocolat! Which reminds me, I must do some French revision today, I have another exam on 24th May.

I am going for a run this evening with my neighbour, it will minimise the damage yesterday as I raided the children's chocolate Keep going everyone....

Poohbearsmom · 09/05/2010 15:34

hi guys that cake sounds interesting Trimmer tell us if it comes out nice... Hope your dads ankle is abit better and he enjoys his day our president is Mary MacAlease (dono how to spell ) she is nearing the end of her second term so we'l be voting for a new president next year i think? She is like our foreign ambassador to the world she does alot of traveling always doing events charity work etc but is not directly involved in the gov/politics but signs off on stuff if ya know what i mean? Somewhat the same as the queen if im not mistaken??
Hows it goin now with yer gov still in talks?

Bebe your breaky sounds good wat ya havin the rest of the day to counter act it? Ya feeling abit better today?

Jodie hope your havin a lovely day

Blondes i think pitta pizza's might be needed?!

bebejones · 09/05/2010 15:53

Trimmer - cake sounds good, let us have the recipe?!

PBM - Nothing new happening with gov yet, they reckon they won't have a deal by Monday

Had a chicken noodle cup-a-soup for lunch (90cals) and a ryvita (34cals) and 2 rich tea fingers (46cals). For dinner just having veggie sticks & wholemeal pitta & hm houmous (about 250cals) followed by a mullerlight of some description...possibly cherry (95cals)! Been drinking loads to counteract the hunger. Oh and shared an apple & banana with DD.

Bebe ? I completely understand where you are coming from. I think other people see it better than we do ourselves. What did you get for your grandma? What are the special push up? I am intrigued. Your DD sounds like my two ? they are constantly jumping on and off the couch and the cushions are constantly on the floor. I must pick them up about 10 times a day! I hope you feel okay after your jabs. Men!

Sarah ? I didn?t realise you are Jewish. I am too. I?m sorry to hear about your sister. What symptoms does she get? That dinner sounds yummy. I hope it all went well. I?m sorry to hear you are feeling so down. As Trimmer said it is still early days and I am sure it will happen for you.

Trimmer ? Well done on the exercise and on your lb loss this week. How did the cake turn out? I hope your dads birthday celebrations went well. Mmm I love chocolate croissants too. I do miss them.

Blondes ? At least you didn?t put on. I hope you managed to get your aggression out at the body combat class. Hope the birthday celebrations went well. Your poor mum. Good luck for her operation. Well done on passing the course.

PBM ? Welcome back! That is so terrible that the docs have taken so long with your referral letter. Can you go to the Practice Managers office about it to make sure it has been done now? I?m sorry you are having such a tough time. I hope everything improves for you soon. Hugs. Thanks for the kind words. I think that is it, so strict for so long and it has caught up with me. I will get over it soon although I had a bad weekend again. We had friends round yesterday and today and I have been eating badly again. I?ve lost 65.5 lbs in total.

Jodie ? Brilliant Jodie on nearly reaching two goals. You must be feeling great. That?s good you still have a lovely back up dress. I hope you had a good night out. Those recipes sound yummy.

bebejones · 10/05/2010 07:44

Well after a perfect start yesterday I ended up in a&e last night with chest pains! Had been getting worse and worse all day & I felt like I couldn't breathe. No idea what was wrong. I think it may have been the start of a bug as I was really sick & feel very achey & lightheaded now. Docs don't think it fits with the known side-effects of my drugs so none the wiser!

But on the plus side (probably down to being sick as I don't deserve it this week) I have lost 2lbs! Very exciting as my weight now starts with 11!

iv sts which ant too bad as iv been way off track lately just gotta snap outa it...

Are you cookin your own food now mels? You'v lost a fantastic amount well done, are you near your goal now? Cant really complain to any one official cause its a hosp and thats da way they are here... Very slow... It emerged a few months ago a hosp here had a back log of over 50 000 x-rays which hadnt been reported on! Yes 50 000 i didnt accidentally add an extra zero tis crazy they are all under staffed and altho im in a diff hosp tis not much better just over worked and thats what happens at least now she will hopefully have sent it and il get my app for the other hosp soon fingers crossed altho it will be prob a far off app as they are even more crazy busy in that hosp.....
O well off to do some cookin...

GettinTrimmer · 10/05/2010 10:52

Morning all

bebe&PBM unfortunately cake wasn't that great, my fault because I've run out of baking powder. Still edible though I think also I overcooked it a little.

I'll stick the recipe on later.

Thanks for asking about dad's ankle PBM, he is struggling around on crutches unfortunately

blondes Hope you had a great time yesterday at your mum's birthday. Are you OK? How's your mum?

bebe very well done on your 2lb! Awful for you to have end up in A & E last night. Maybe you have a nasty virus of some sort.

Will they do any follow up to find out what's wrong?

It feels great to be 11 stone something doesn't it?

jodie how was your day? Well done on your loss also on sat.

mummymels I know what it's like with being tempted at the weekends! It seems to be the way with me, I raided the crisps and children's chocolate At some point, or when you get to goal, will you incorporate a few more carbs? You've done so brilliantly.

GettinTrimmer · 10/05/2010 10:53

laughalot Not seen you for a while. how are you doing?

bebejones · 10/05/2010 12:41

Thanks everyone, feeling loads better after spending the morning on the loo DD has had a couple of nasty nappies this am too so probably some nasty bug!

Making a blackberry crumble cake to cheer DH up, he has massively fallen out with his dad which is not good coz they work together!! I'm sure they'll make it up by the end of the day, they usually do! DD has had her first taste of cake mix! A development milestone IMO!

Having a beef stir fry for dinner so been and got some steak & had a nice stroll to Tesco in the sunshine. Really hope it was just a 24hr bug coz my mum is having an op 2moro & I have to go & stay with her for a few days when she comes out of hospital. Not really looking forward to it. She has 3 cats, one who is in a cage after a leg op & another one has daily medication & wee's everywhere!!! Plus will have to look after my mum & my Grandma & DD! Not my idea of fun. Plus will have to do my jab without DH on Friday, just hope I don't feel too rough afterwards

Mels - didn't get anything expensive/interesting for my Grandma. Did DD's handprints & have put them in a nice frame, sounds very dull & self obsessed, but she will really love it! I do a box push up (knees on floor) put put legs slightly further back to stretch out more (like Blondes said) and it makes them a bit tougher! You are doing so well with your weightloss btw! Keep it up, nearly there!

PBM - well done on STS for you bout hospitals, you are right about them being under staffed! I was waiting ages (bout hour & a half with me top off led on a trolley) just for the ECG last night in our tiny tiny a&e coz all the staff were having to deal with a drunk 15 year old!

Trimmer - love being 11 something!

bebejones · 10/05/2010 13:10

TRIMMER yes covered burns/asthma/scalds/boken limbs/cpr/recovery position etc - i have to renew every 3 yreas but tbh i think all aprents should do a basic 1st aid - cake sounds yummy but shame it didnt rise

BEBE omg at chest pains - hope you are ok - and well done on 2lb loss

PBM bloody hospitals, know we moan about nhs but lucky to have iyswim

LAUGHALOT omg at dd - how is she now? and docs should ALWAYS see a child with breathing difficultys and if at all worried take to A&E - maybe asthma/allergy?

MUMMYMELS keep up the good work

had a lovely meal yestreday for my parents birthday, as some of you know they have been soooooooooooooooo supportive recently that dh and i just wanted to do something nice for them - wil, ne to rein in major points this week

dh isnt great either and fell off wall last week and has hurt his ribs, thought they were broken but hopefully just a hairline crack (still very painful) so he is drugged up and not working

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2010 14:11

Hello to all my rapidly diminishing chums,

There is a lot of ill health around at the mo - hope everyone... Bebe and small laughalot are feeling better soon...

Jodie - Which bit of Austria are you going to? It must be a beautiful place in the spring / early summer. We only go when there's snow, but the mountains are breathtakingly stunning. Hope your special day went well too.

PBM - well done on STS
Blondes Hope you are feeling more upbeat today..

My rings are falling off too, I have a Russian wedding ring on my little finger that flicked off the other day. I'd rather loose the weight off my a**e than my little finger but hey ho.

Mels and Sarah - Hope all is going well for you

I have lost another pound, small steps, significant progress as I said before, I think I am forgetting to update myself so I shall do that now. I also loooovee being 11 something!

is nice being 11 stone something again

well done PISTE on loss

yes im feeling okish/up beatish thx

mummymels · 10/05/2010 20:39

Bebe ? You need to take it easy. I know easier said than done when you are a mum. I hope you are ok and you are feeling better today but that must have been really scary. Well done on the weight loss though. Lol on DD with the cake mix ? did she like it? I hope DH sorts things out with his dad. You have a busy few days ahead, I hope it?s not too much for you. Good luck for your mums operation. I think that is a lovely present you gave your grandma, it?s a personal present so will mean something. Thanks for the push up description. I will give it a go but not sure how far I will get with my dodgy knees.

PBM- Oh my gosh, 50,000 xrays. That is terrible. I would hope that they had at least had a look that no-one had anything serious otherwise that would be even worse. I am doing a mix now of cooking my own food and eating the Go Lower stuff. I still eat the soups a lot for lunch because they are really nice and filling for lunch but dinner and breakfast I vary. I?m now ½ lb over 10 stone. My goal was originally 9 stone but then when I was doing so well I thought it would be nice to be back down to 8 which I haven?t been for years but I will see how I get on and how I feel once I get nearer 9.

Trimmer ? Shame about the cake. What happened to your dad?s ankle? I don?t think I could stay off carbs forever so I think I will start to eat a little more once I am at goal but I am really going to try and not go over the top and back into my old habits again.

Laughalot ? Oh my gosh, that must have been an awful phone call. What do they think caused it? I hope your DD is ok. I bet you won?t sleep tonight for worry. Well done on your lb loss. By the way, I think that is really awful that a doctor would not see a child who is struggling to breathe. Surely they should be able to fit her in whoever else is there.

Blondes ? What is it with everyone on this thread at the moment! I hope your DH is on the mend soon and not in too much pain. It sounds like you had a lovely meal yesterday. What food did you have?

Piste ? lol on the weight loss coming from your finger. All this talk of rings falling off. Even though I have lost lots of weight my rings are still not falling off because my fingers are swollen from my eczema flaring up so at the moment I am not wearing my rings at all because they aggravate the eczema. Well done on the loss.

That list looks so short now compared to the amount of people we used to have. Mine isn?t completely up to date but I will wait until my next weigh in on Monday now to update myself.

I have just found myself eating a bit of leftover pizza. That is really going to help matters. Definitely back to it tomorrow!

GettinTrimmer · 11/05/2010 10:29

Morning all

bebe hope it's OK at your mum's, will be so busy for you. Are you feeling better?

laughalot well done on your 1lb loss. How is dd? Our GPs will always see a child, we just wait for an emergency, hope you get some help.

piste well done on your 1lb, Blondes linked a site earlier on with ww points, and a 1lb of fat was shown, it doesn't seem much to us as I suppose it's dispersed everywhere, but it looked like a big mound!

blondes hope dh is coping with his rib Glad you're feeling a bit more upbeat.

jodie how was your day?

mummymels my dad fell over in that awful ice back in january, about the same time as Jodie had her fall, he broke his ankle very badly, had an operation, not healing very quickly and the consultant said it won't heal until November. Slower process as he has type 2 diabetes.

PBM meant to say well done on staying the same! Sounds like a government will be cobbled together over the next couple of days. How are you?

sarah/fruitgums/anyone I've forgotten How's things with you?

I've just been for a run, did 45 minutes, just as well - there is a big bag of kettle crisps in my cupboard, and my will power left me last night - I had a big bowlful, naughty but nice!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2010 13:43

my manic day today

hello to everyone quicker that way lol

dh ribs sore but getting there and yes we all seem to be suffering recently with ill dc/ broken bones etc

mummymels I had a roast with chicken/pork/beef and girlies and tons of veg. Was scrummy

sarahmia · 11/05/2010 15:06

hi hi hi!

blondes sorry about your dh! wish him better... hope you enjoyed tennis!

trimmer can you repost that WW site that blondes posted earlier, i cant find it! and i want to see! kettlechips arent the worst thing you could eat, at least they are baked!!

pisteand laughalot well done on your losses!

mummymels your jewish too??? thats so cool!

well, my DD has had the chicken "pops" as she calls them and she looks like she has a horrible skin desiese ick! Friday night went really well, the mini pies were all gone and there was SO much food! DH has put me on a tight budget as we have just booked a holiday to go away together alone! im very excited!! so its starvation station here and that should help with keeping in budget lol!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/05/2010 16:49

Sarah ww takeaway points

tennis is cold thank god for a cafe

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/05/2010 18:14

We have just accepted a quote to have our kitchen / dining room knocked through and have the kitchen replaced.

Wooohoooo!!

We have been thinking about this for ages and have finally got on with it, but now I'm like about catering arrangements, not sure how that will go!!

GettinTrimmer · 11/05/2010 19:11

If the kitchen is completely out of bounds will you have to plug the microwave in the front room or something?

A new kitchen will be lurvely
