GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 14:33

OOh! I know who they are. Just googled them.

You and me both on naughty step Blondes, hopefully I may lose 1lb this week or sts.

Oh well, another 2 days before I weigh in..

bebejones · 05/05/2010 15:27

Change of plans on dinner front, we are having a chinese...HELP! What is 'good' to have, obviously duck pancakes are bad & sesame prawn toast bad too I would think Suggestions very very gratefully received! Also didn't have soup with my ryvita, had lf philly & salsa with them...worked out less cals, but was actually what I fancied!

Laughalot - I've always known who I'm voting for! All the debating & canvassing hasn't changed my mind!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/05/2010 15:48

Black eyed Peas!

Pass us the twiglets Bebe, am starving, I have worked so hard today, its nearly 4pm and I having my lunch. Nom nom nom

I know who I am voting for, we have a genuinely fab MP, and we shall vote for him.

My biggest worry is that whoever gets in, but certainly the Tories will do away with the nursery funding for 3 and 4 year olds, and the impact of that on families will be enormous.

sarahmia · 05/05/2010 16:44

hi all,

bebejones i dont know what is healthy with a chinese! in my local kosher chinese there are some thai dishes, so i usually go for them as they arent so bad.

piste - will the tories really do away with that funding? im so angry with labour so have been very pro tory but hope they dont cut that funding.

blondes - fergies DOES have a body to die for am glad you said that sometimes i might think i may be a (looks around to see noone is listening) lesbian also, do you think it was a mc? i thought maybe my bodys hormones hadnt gone back to normal since the stillbirth?

had such a busy day, was out with my friend who got her phone stolen and shes super preggo so i was down on my hands and knees looking under cars to see if she had just dropped it and then off to pick up dd from nursery where we found out that her dd had broken her nose! (now confirmed by hospital!) just a maaaad morning which scuppered my plans of salmon and salad for lunch and i had to maek do with humous and crackers!! not so awful but impossible to point if your just standing eating!
going to a charity dinner tonight so yummy food on the agenda! and just booked a beach holiday for 6 weeks time! need to be skiiiiiny! or at least not look like a beast!

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 17:17

bebe I know this is ww but from that website Blondes linked, sweet and sour sauce is 3 points, so that's about 250 cals (guess) so if you have sweet and sour veg and plain boiled rice it won't be that bad.

Also chow mein is noodles so looks alright.

Avoid - prawn crackers, pancake rolls, chips!

Remember as well Chinese curries aren't too bad.

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 17:18

sarah sorry to hear about your friend's dd's nose. poor little thing. Did you find the mobile? Enjoy your dinner tonight.

bebejones · 05/05/2010 17:25

Decided on chicken with bamboo shoots & water chesnuts with boiled rice. Thanks guys. Going to go pick it up, and will walk so that should help burn it off!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2010 21:10

BEBE yes pancakes and prawn toast, bad, just fat basically!! most chicken dishes and prawn are low in fat

TRIMMER why have you been bad?

PISTE hvant a clue who to vote for

SARAH if you tested postsive even if a faint line then does sounds like you had a mc, you wouldnt still have the hormone in your body from before, sorry to hear about dd friend and i love humous

where are you ging on holiday?

anyone seen PBM recently

i even resisted garlic bread this afternoon, was out for tea and smelt soooooooooooo yummy, but i WILL lose a lb this week, eben if it kills me, i will be soooooooooooooooooooo if i dont

mummymels · 06/05/2010 00:00

Is it really that long since I have been on here? I have gone back a few pages but can't find my last post so it must have been a while. I hope everyone are doing well.

I seem to have gone off the wagon the last few days. I must get back to it before I get back into my old bad eating habits. Sunday we had friends round for tea and I am just finishing a bit of leftover cake and Monday we had my MIL's 70th birthday so we were eating all day.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2010 07:30

hi mummymels- nice to see you back

the wagon is for falling off AS long as we all get back on

JODIEwantsanewname · 06/05/2010 07:54

Morning ladies

How you going?

3 days until FD (frock day) and I don't think there is much chance of me squeezing into it, but you can't say I haven't tried I'm not giving up though, I might have to undergo emergency surgery to wallop my boobs off!!

Good news is that a friend came over for a cuppa yesterday and I haven't seen her for about a month and she was shocked at how 'skinny' I was looking! (I'm far from skinny, but I liked her saying it!) I was very chuffed! I think it gets to a point where evry lb makes a difference, not only in weight but in inches too. Must keep away from the that the kids have bought.... (Not that they last long in this house anyway!)

Sarah so sorry to hear of your sad news. How was your charity dinner?

mummymels Welcome back!

Blondes How was DH's sausage last night [girly giggle emoticon]

bebe those before and after photos are amazing!!!! super slimmer you!

Piste your DD sounds so lovely looking after her friend like that.Poor thing. Glad she's 'on the mend' so to speak.

Trimmer How is your exercise going? I've been terrible this week. DH has been in every night (Which is odd for him!) so no DVD(well, sky plussed stuff) for me and I haven't been for a run since Sunday. I've had so much ironing to do, but thats better than lieing on the couch right?

GettinTrimmer · 06/05/2010 08:47

Morning all

blondes do you know how many points are in a sachet of Patak's creamed coconut?

I made myself a curry last last, quorn and vegetables, a base of a little bit of veg oil then ginger, cardamon pods, garam masala, crushed chillies, carton of crushed tomatoes. Then calmed it down a bit with the coconut, but it looks like it's mega high in points. It would have worked out to about 1/4 of the pack.

I suppose I've not particularly been that terrible, just children's leftovers (homemade pizzas!) and too much cheese at lunchtime.

Hope sausages were tasty. Does you dh like toad in the hole? Yum !

PBM Not seen you for a while. Hope you are OK.

mummymels I think it's normal to fall off the wagon now and again because life goes on during the diet, I can't imagine how boring it would be to completely give everything up. The good thing about this thread is we are encouraged to climb back on again!

It's also a process of leaving old habit behind, I ate the kids leftovers last night, fell back into doing something that caused the trouble in the first place! It's not always so easy to change habits, but can be done.

jodie ironing uses up calories as well! I can't remember how many but it was something like 100 for every 35 minutes.

I don't want to overdo the exercise, today when I get a chance (dcs off school due to election) I will do a bit of a dvd. It's great when people notice isn't it? People I've not seen for a while are noticing, but friends at school I don't think have noticed much of a difference.

bebejones · 06/05/2010 09:23

Trimmer - mmmm toad in the hole...yum, could eat a load of that right now with a big dollop of mash!!

Mels - welcome back on the wagon!

Jodie - well done on the ironing, it is a loathesome task & one that I never do!! Good luck for FD & even if it doesn't fit you will know that you tried & you will still look fab!

DH has finally rid the house of Rocky road (taken it to work) so I am 'safe' again. Well, until Friday as it is stabbing day and I will need a treat in order to reward myself & make me feel better!! Had no milk left (well done in date...yuk) so have had a small bowl of rhubarb compote (without yoghurt to save some cals) for brekkie. Have to ahve jacket potato for dinner as we have precious little else in the house! Works out well coz I can stick them in the oven, go and vote, then eat my potato when I get back...no fuss! Really nervous about the election outcome, how sad am I?! Just so many people we know just don't seem to have really thought things through! We shall see what happens......!

DD had a really rough night last night, no idea why. Bad dreams I think as she was rambling away through the sobs when I went in to her at 2 & at 4.30! Have had an energy shot that DH had brought home yesterday & that has perked me up, I don't drink tea or coffee so anything with caffeine has an instant effect on me! Might take advantage of the energy while it lasts!!

OP posts:
bebejones · 06/05/2010 09:25

Ooop, none in date not 'well done in date' D'oh!

sarahmia · 06/05/2010 14:09

hi all,

charity dinner was lovely last night, had some nice complements from my sil dad about how gorgeous i looked and he is usually quite mean...so yay for me! maybe ate a bit too much but im back today! thats what i love about WW, you can screw up and just make up for it later.

I have 4 guests for supper tomorrow night so i have to start cooking!
bebejones why do you stab yourself? sorry to be nosey!

blondeshavemorefun i really hope that i didnt, dont know if i could cope with a stillbirth and a miscarriage in the space of 5 weeks. starting to think that g-d doesnt want mme to have another child.

trimmer whats toad in the hole?

GettinTrimmer · 06/05/2010 15:32

sarah Toad is the hole is sausages, with yorkshire pudding batter poured over the top. It puffs up over the sausages. Yum!

Glad you enjoyed your dinner last night. What charity is it? (being nosey!)

What are you cooking for your supper guests?

bebe hope your dd has a better night. Will you stay up to watch the election? I hope Outnumbered is on, does anyone watch it?

I resisted cappuccino cake today. What is it about soft play areas, they always have loads of gorgeous cake...

Talking of coffee, I found a recipe for pears poached in coffee...sounds gorgeous to me, would be low cal too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2010 15:33

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2010 17:28

how can you say you don't look any different?

Photos are sooooooooooooo different!!!!!!

mummymels · 06/05/2010 18:43

Blonds ? Very true re falling off the wagon. I think it was a bit of rebellion because I have been dieting for so long now and generally not cheated very much at all. Today has been a much better day though. I bet you do look thinner but you just don?t notice yourself. I bet other people can. 20lbs is brilliant.

Jodie ? Lol, re frock day and your boobs. What is the occasion? That?s brilliant that your friend noticed your weight loss. You must have felt so good.

Sarah ? I don?t think we have ?spoken? so hello! I?m sorry to hear your sad news. I hope that you are ok. That must have felt good getting the compliments last night. What are you making for dinner for your guests?

Bebe ? Did I miss some pictures? Mmm rocky road, that must have been hard to resist. I hope your DD has a better night tonight. You must look different having lost 3 stone!

GettingTrimmer ? Thank you for your wise words. Oh yes, I forgot to mention about eating the kids leftovers yesterday too! But pleased to say I have been much better today. I suppose people you see every day don?t notice so much. Not sure about the pears in coffee but would be interested to know what you think of it if you try it.

bebejones · 06/05/2010 19:37

I know I must look different, and people have said they can really tell I have lost a load of weight. BUT to me I don't look different (except when I see it in pics) I guess it's coz I see myself every day! I definately feel better. It's hard to see a difference when it doesn't happen over night IYSWIM!

Sarahmia - meant to say how sorry I am about your bad news.

OP posts:
sarahmia · 06/05/2010 21:16

gettingtrimmer the charity dinner was for a jewish charity called seed. It educates non religious jews.. sounds really odd but i went cos its how my parents became religious and i think its really important.

ive never had toad in the hole before... sounds yummm!

bebejones i'm sorry you have to be jabbed my sister in law also gets jabbed once every two weeks, she has a condition called gauchers disease, very rare. she is more used to it tho as she has done it since a young age. she always sits with chocolate while she has her infusion.. i have "assisted" her on many occasions!

mummymels hiii!!!

so for my guests. im making salmon teriyake to start, chicken soup, chicken, mini meat pies, roast potatoes, 2 salads, choc chip pie and trifle (and ice cream)

thanks for all your lovelyness. i just dont know, im so young (24) and i feel like ive suddenly aged with all this going on.. i am terrified ill never have another healthy baby and my DD's first 2 yrs flew by. I hate going on these loss forums cos it just upsets me more. Im such a loud outgoing person but i just dont feel like myself anymore.

GettinTrimmer · 06/05/2010 23:44

sarah From your posts on here, I've got the impression you are lots of fun to be with it's so recent for you, sure things will work out, give yourself time and take care of yourself.

Your meal will be gorgeous - you sound like a great cook. I'm a veggie, but I'd be happy with roast spuds, salad then the pudding!

I feel like I am hanging on in there atm, finished off my curry in front of the telly tonight then had some stilton.

Plenty of exercise tomorrow for me.

blondes good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.
