PBM - Don't worry about the gain, it'll come off again, you are doing so well & with all the stress you've had you have been doing so well!

Piste - DD's birthday sounds great, can't wait for my DD to have parties like that!

Jodie - I do (although haven't in ages) Davina's power of 3, think it's the first one she did?! I like it coz you can do sections rather than all of it depending on what you need to work on.

Think my stomach must have shrunk I am feeling uncomfortably full after my 'day off'!

Was just saying to DH about doing one of those photos where you stand in your old trousers & hold them out...might give it a go just to see if there is a real noticeable difference! Will let you all know! Have instructed DH to take the Rocky Road to work 2moro & only leave me 1 small piece. Everytime I open the fridge I am hit by a wave of chocolate fumes & it is waaaaaaaaaay too tempting!

Just nipping on very quickly well done girlies we are getting there. My dd is ill so cant do a massive post.

Lost 2 lb this week would be gratefull if someone could update me please, cheers.

GettinTrimmer · 03/05/2010 18:38

piste dd's birthday sounds great, well done on your loss this week. I have another 11 lb to go before I am a healthy weight.

jodie the Davina dvd I have is her latest one, Davina Fit. I like the aerobics section (aerobic fit) she's also got top fit, bottom fit, kick fit and yoga stretch. I found the bottom fit very challenging!

I think Bebe's got an earlier one.

I also like Claire from Steps Fat Attack. That 30 Day Shred is really hard btw, I will attack it again tomorrow if my thighs feel rested enough! Even though I've worked it up to being able to run/jog for 30/40 mins I found it very challenging.

blondes How many points in olive oil?

I went for lunch with dh today, but was very good and had a bowl of pasta in tomato/veggie sauce, half a piece of ciabatta bread with no butter and salad. Probably cooked in some olive oil.

bebejones · 03/05/2010 19:25

Well done laughalot!

Right, have put a few pics up, will only leave them up til 2moro as they are awful! Put up the horrid one that inspired my weight loss, can't even bare to look at it! Also a few 'after', or should that be 'during' (as I haven't reached my target yet), pictures!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/05/2010 19:48

LAUGHALOT well done on loss, hope dd better soon

TRIMMER 1 teaspoon of olive oil = 1 point

jut reheating my low point spag bolnow

PBM i know - what IS dh obession with them!!!

Murtette · 03/05/2010 22:08

Evening ladies! Hope you've all had good long weekends? I'd also vote for the party who introduced 3 day weekends every weekend. It just makes such a difference.

Had a bit of a disaster food wise as we were supposed to be having friends over on Sat and I did all the cooking (inc a cheesecake and a cake) on Fri evening only for them to cancel on Sat morning due to illness so we've had all of that yummy food in the house and no one to eat it other than me and DP. I tried to get some other friends over but no one was available! And then we went to friends for tea today and she'd had a baking session and it seemed rude to turn down her cakes (or thats what I told myself!).

PBM - fab news re the scans!

Bebe - well done! You should be so proud of yourself. That photo of your jeans has really helped me to visualise what it will be like when (if?) I lose 3 stone. Your DD is gorgeous.

Jodie - if you don't quite get into your dress this weekend, don't be despondent as you're doing brilliantly. Everyone there will notice how slim you're looking.

Piste - how is DD's anorexic friend doing? I do want to try and lose weight and stablise it before my DD is aware of food and image.

Laugh - hope DD gets better soon

Gettin - your post about what you ate when out with DH has given me a bit of a kick up the backside. I'm very good at coming up with excuses for eating things I shouldn't be having when trying to lose weight.

Murtette · 03/05/2010 22:11

Forgot to say - have gained 2lbs over the fortnight so am back to 13st. A combination of 10 days of being at my Mum's and having so much food in the house this weekend. Also, I've just started weaning DD so don't suppose she's using up as many of my calories as she used to.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/05/2010 07:27

Murtette... You are so kind to remember. DDs mate is now being seen by a specialist at some clinic which has to be a good thing and she was deemed well enough by them to go clothes shopping at the weekend. Shopping had been banned because it made her think about sizing. But of course she has also got v tall. She and DD and her mum went and DD said she wasn't allowed to even look at American size 0 ( which she easy is ) because it was wrong for her. But the mum gave her guidelines and off they went having a treat time then the mum met them to pay.

She still has to eat away from the others at lunch with DD to keep her company. She has to eat what her mum packs and that is checked by the fabulous school nurse. But that only takes 10 minutes and they go off to find their friends. It must be easier now they all know and it's not so cold... She found that so debilitating.

But thank you for thinking of her, it will be on going for a very long time indeed We must protect our girls which is easier said than done, but at home we need to make sure we are not influencing them in a bad way vwe still never talk about dieting, only healthy eating, I have not said anything to DD about me dieting.

Blooming difficult isn't it!

bebejones · 04/05/2010 08:51

Piste - the poor girl, must be so hard for everyone!

Got a busy morning, am going to brave the baby clinic with DD to get her weighed. Her eating has improved the last couple of weeks & DH is insistent I go & get her weighed! It's alright for him, he doesn't have to take her...I hate going!! Then got DD's music class straight after.

I am really hayfeverish today. Met office when I checked last night said we are going to have a lot of rain over the next couple of weeks....it's bright sunshine here this morning! Really cross with DH coz he has completely missed his oppurtunity to strim the v long grass in the back garden due to his laziness (tried to get him to do it last weds when it had been dry for ages) & now chnaces are we won't have a garden to sit in all summer.....AGAIN!!!

Have had my usual breakfast of OJ (with my spatone in) and special k & skimmed. Soup & Ryvita for lunch & fake 'carbonara' for dinner. And absolutely NO SNACKING on the Rocky Road in the fridge!!

Poohbearsmom · 04/05/2010 09:58

Bebe your before and after pic's are v.inspirational ya could easily fit dd in your old jeans with ya! get them old jeans down the charity shop you are never gona need them again i think iv seen rocky road before in a cake shop called biscuit cake... Sounds very scrummy! Get it outa the house asap

piste its great dd's friend is getting the help she needs and she's lucky to have your dd to be there for her the party sounds fantastic fun

laughalot well done on your loss hope dd is ok?

Murtette dont worry we'l get rid of our gains together

had granery toast and a feed of mushrooms for breaky twas lovely and hav soup for lunch off to hunt through the cookary books for idea for dinner and iv washing to hang and general house to tidy and a million things to do including finding a pre school and school to enrole the boys in and iv not a clue where to start lookin! Dont know the area and am stil confused as to send ds to a play school or montessori?? May end up more of a question of whoever has a place but really dont know... When iv ds1 sorted in a pre school i think il try to find a play group for ds2 and myself...

GettinTrimmer · 04/05/2010 10:38

piste Your dd is doing a great job supporting her friend. I agree with you about protecting our girls - I say healthy eating and not the d word, but my dd has picked up I am trying to get slimmer, so I've deliberately played it down.

murtette We were due to have friends round but they let us know on Friday they couldn't come. There's been a few times when Nigella's chocolate cheesecake leftovers have distracted me and I've fallen off the wagon! The good thing about this thread is I am encouraged to climb back on it

bebe I am sooo impressed at your pictures and your dd is gorgeous!

PBM good luck with looking for a pre-school/nursery. Can you get one recommended?

bebejones · 04/05/2010 11:30

Gonna take the gross pics down in a bit, thanks to everyone for the lovely comments, especially about DD she is my whole world!

PBM - good luck with the hunt for pre-school. I don't know the area where we live that well despite living her 3 years! I just went on word of mouth & got a feel for what people thought at toddler groups as to which one is best. Have registered DD but she can't start til at least Feb next year (depending if she is potty trained or not) but being registered is no guarantee they will have a place. The one I picked is linked to the best local school so thought at least if she got into that school she would at least have some friends if she had been to the preschool next door! Hope you manage to find somewhere for both your DS!

Just had a rice cake & about 2 bites of DDs banana. Got sooooooo much to do & I'm sat on MN

sarahmia · 04/05/2010 12:05

hi ladies!

well, i had stopped dieting so much as i thought i was pregnant as i had 2 faint positives on my pg tests buttt yesterday i started lightly bleeding and today its got slightly heavier, so im gonna guess im not never mind though, i wanted to lose a bit before having another one anyway.
soooo, im going to forget about the chinese i had last night and start again today! (good news is i lost like 6 pounds last week cos i was so ill i couldnt eat) yay!

piste - wow, that is so sad about your DD friend.. i never want my DD to be so aware of her body so young.. i hate that i feel like i do about my body and weight.

GettinTrimmer · 04/05/2010 16:14

Hi Sarah, good to see you!

Sorry about your disappointment.

Don't worry about your chinese, I had a whopper on Saturday night

How are you doing today? I have some stilton in the fridge, and only had 2 small squares.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/05/2010 18:37

just a quickie, tuesday is my manic day

piste, glad dd is supporting her friend

sarah, sorry for your mc

murtette - how annoying about friends and a bugger for your diet

dh rang eralier and asked if he wanted him to cook tea

i asked what

any guesses?

yep sausage pie

honestly he is OBSESSED at the moment!!

tho is a yummy pie

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 10:22

Morning all

How are you all doing today?

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 10:23

Wow sausage time again Blondes!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/05/2010 10:34

Hello GT - I am feeling slinky but have got the munchies today...

I could easily resist your stilton >

.....but if you had a bag of Twiglets in the cupboard, that would be another story entirely!

Going to see the Black Eyed Peas at O2 tomorrow with DD, so looking forward to that!!

Laughalot - hope your DD has perked up now.
Am working from home today so if you see me on here again, be firm

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 10:44

I've got some marmite. Twiglets taste just like marmite on toast!

bebejones · 05/05/2010 12:03

I have half a small bag of twiglets here that DD & I have been sharing since last week! I have been very restrained!

Piste - enjoy Black Eyed Peas!

Have just been out to the nearest park with ducks with DD (30min drive away) unfortunately DD was more interested in eating the bread herself than giving it to the ducks! Supposed to be restricting her bread intake as it is pretty much all she eats some days! Shattered now coz did lots of walking & up some very steep hills pushing DDs pushchair. Must have burnt a fair few cals!

Soup for lunch with ryvita, then jacket potato with tuna & sweetcorn & some salad for dinner. Making rhubarb compote again today so will prob have some of that after dinner! Also going to make some homous & chop up some veggies to keep in the fridge for snacking on. Got the munchies & DH forgot to take the last of the Rocky Road with him to work & it is calling to me!!!

OP posts:
laughalot · 05/05/2010 12:51

Hi everyone she is alot better thanks, this is the joy you have when they start nursery illness ever other week.

So have you decided who you are voting tomorrow ? They are all as bad as one another in my opinion.

Bebe chuck us some cake nom nom .

Piste enjoy your concert with dd that will be fab.

Trimmer hows things with you ?

Blondes does dh look like a sausage ? Must admit my dh loves sausage.

Hiryone else off to do my ironing .

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2010 13:19

piste who are the black eyed peas?

My friend with teenagers texted me last year from the Bestival on the Isle of Wight and I discovered Florence and the Machine and Fleet Foxes. I will have to trendy up a bit when I have teenagers.

bebe sounds like you have used up plenty of calories with all that exercise!

laughalot I'm fine thanks! The dc's school is closed tomorrow due to the election. I've made up my mind who I am voting for, will be interesting to see what happens with all this talk of hung parliaments...

No idea how this plan of parents running schools will work (if torys get in).

I went for a run today, then did Claire's toning up section of her dvd, but had a fair few points worth of cheese and beans jacket spud for lunch!
