Old thread here

Nice new home for us now that March is over!

JODIEwantsanewname · 02/05/2010 19:04

Evening all. I'm feeling very pleased with myself now! I only ate 1/2 of my saag last night and only 1 pappodum (they are about 70 cals each) and dh had bought red wine and choc from shop and I refrained from both

I also was a good girl at the buffet today. I had a slice of roast chicken, a slice of roasted salmon, a tablespoon of the pasta salad, a tablespoon of the Cous cous and a big portion of tomato salad. No sausage rolls, no pork pie no cake aren't I good!!!

Dh is going out after tea (gammon and jacket potato and peas) so I'll do my sky plussed stuff for an hour (I still ache abit from doing it on Friday so it must be good!) I'm coming in at 950 cals today, without the exercise.

Trimmer - good luck on your run later, you are good.

Blondes - what was lunch, was it yummy? can we have some food porn here please Please tell
me dh didn't have sausages???

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 19:05

Actually 7.5 each

Chinese points how many did you eat?

Def go for a jog if you can manage it

bebejones · 02/05/2010 19:09

Trimmer - Box push ups are the ones with knees on the floor. I can't do full push ups coz one of my knees is still slightly numb from an MS relapse & it buckles after about 3 push ups! I find 30 really easy though so perhaps ought to do more! TBH my upper body strength is quite good, from lugging a 20lbs toddler around I expect!! Hope you have a nice run later!

Have been super good today. But felt really really tired & done no exercise, struggled to keep my eyes open & DH is the same, both hoping it's not the start of a bug!

Jodie - hope you had a nice time at the christening.

Blondes - that your DH ate that for breakfast I can barely manage a piece of fruit before 10am...the mere thought of food early in the morning makes me feel ill, always has done!

Hoping to be able to get out & do some gardening 2moro, and have to walk up to Tesco too, so hopefully will get some sort of exercise!!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 02/05/2010 19:12

blondes - Vegetable pancake rolls (only little) 3 of them, plain boiled rice, sweet and sour vegetables, chips and (ahem) about 7 of them. Heaps of points I am sure, just about to have a look!

Jodie - very well done, brilliant restraint. You deserve to fit into that dress!

GettinTrimmer · 02/05/2010 19:19

Thanks for that link, Blondes I think I'd better write off yesterday and hope the exercise minimises the damage! I've probably had about 40 points.

Bebe - well done for being good today

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 19:27

well done jodie - i love salmon

i had roast pork, large yorkie, roasties (cooked in oil as could taste it, was dribbling) and lots of carrots/brocolli and green beans- was scrummy!!!

yes dh had sausages pie for breakie before he went to work and whats is worse is that he had a friend stay over and he also ate it and said it was yummy!!

may play hide the sausage just for you all later

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 19:31

bebe, if you find box easy then try and do press ups with knees bent but legs tilting down iyswim, so less weight is on knees and more on arms, makes it harder

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/05/2010 07:23

Just worked out I have lost a stone in 5 weeks!!! I have 14 weeks to lose another stone and a half..........please please please make sure I do it, lots of kicking up the bum please!!

PBM - keep meaning to say so relieved for you that the scan results were so good. xx

Have promised to make some Rocky Road today, so will have a tiny piece as a 3stone treat! Then back to it, got lots to do today so going to be busy busy busy.

Blondes - found those push ups much harder & definately felt it, thank you!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 03/05/2010 09:29

piste well done on your 2lb What are the Pistes doing today on this BH Monday?

bebe same for you on your 4lb, next week you'll be 11 stone something! 14 weeks for another stone and a half - 1.5lb per week. That's do-able.

PBM Thanks, I am a bit achey today, I've done some sort of exercise every day for a while. Will you be able to take your boys out today? The weather is dull here but at least it's not raining.

Tidying up is the problem here, I need some supernanny advice from Blondes! Mine are like whirlwinds. I know someone who threatens to put everything in bin bags and throw their things out, but my ds is so sensitive.

janajos you are welcome to join us, how are you doing yours? Some of us do ww, others count calories.

My mum & dad would like to look after my dc today, but spending the day clearing out, still have piles of stuff from toddler days to bag up for the charity shop. Can't believe my ds will be 8 this year!

TubbyDuffs · 03/05/2010 10:38

MORNING!!!!! PISTE well done on fab loss!!!

JANAJOS welcome - we are all mad lovely - what diet are you doing?im a ww girl and weigh on a friday

BEBE bloody hell - well done!!! and welcome about press ups, thats what i do at gym (when knee isnt playing up) or i do them against the wall - glad it made sense to you as when reading back to me what i had typed wasnt too sure iykwim

PBM dh is also working (which for once i wont moan about as easily couldnt be iyswim) he always works bh's

but does mean i get the sofa, sky and lappy to myself

TRIMMER yes im a mean nanny but i get results, if you cant bear to throw aways toys (and tbh who would as its throwing away money) NEVER threaten what you wont carry out, so say what isnt tidied away will go in a box and not be played with for a week/fortnight/month depending how harsh you are set a time limit and if not done by then, then place all items in box and remove

TUBBY hope you had a good hols and well done for starting to lose your gain

my roast was sooooooooooo yummy yesterday but worked it out as 14 points

so had rivitta, grapes and low fat humous for tea - didnt want salad

normally i have cereal for breakie, cherrios/weetbix/oast so simple but today fancied an egg, so had fried egg on granary toast for 3.5p

lunch will be my usual low point yummy chicken and roasted veg for 2.5 and making spag bol for tea, tho guess what dh wanted

yep bloody sausages again - - he will turn into one at this rate, i JUST dont see the attraction

bebejones · 03/05/2010 11:50

We are having sausages for dinner!! Reduced fat ones with some lf chips & reduced salt/sugar beans...not telling DH it is 'diet' sausage, chips & beans & I bet he won't even notice the difference!! Gonna have a ham & lf philly wrap with salad for lunch & possibly a piece of the Rocky Road I've just made... figure I deserve a treat! I work it out as this is week 17 today & I have lost 3 stone, so 1.5st in 14 weeks if I step up the exercise shouldn't be too hard!

Off to garden centre after lunch but typically it has clouded over & looks like rain again!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 03/05/2010 12:53

yes week 17 (well mine was last fri)

cant beleive you have lost 3 stone since jan - you must be so proud of yourself!!

have to say low sugar/salt beans are rank and on ww doesnt make any difference points wise so i always have heniz normal beans

Poohbearsmom · 03/05/2010 14:50

Trimmer it wud b nice to go for a walk and iv pretty much tidyed up to a fairly decent standard but the weather is horrible been this way all wkend just havin a chill with the boys watchin mickey mouse with phone obv mn'ing
bebe whats rocky road? Iv heard of it loads of times but havnt a clue... Is it some thing to do with ice cream? So fantastic uv hit 3st just so proud of you i have to to say it again!
Blondes your def back on track with your meal plans im gona do your chick veg tomorrow il just add a carb for the boys
anyone have any recipes for a nice veg bake or aubergine something? I got loads of vegi's but ds1 in particular is a bit of a fuss pot... They dont like white sauces altho i did convince them it was a chick sauce da other day and it worked! I gave them a mixed pepper salad as their veg for lunch and they scoffed the lot but if id cooked em ds1 wudnt hav touched em... Anyways any ideas would be lovely
forgot to say earlier iv gained 2lbs if someone could update me that would be great thanks

I'm just about to update myself, as I've decided to change my target weight to 10 stone 3. Measured myself and I've lost a total of 4 inches round my waist since we started this thread and 2 off my bust.

PBM - Rocky road is sort of a cake/bar thingy, it's basically melted choc/butter/golden syrup poured over crushed digestives, raisins & marshmallows then chilled until it goes hard & cut into pieces. (Think you can get it as an ice cream flavour) SO good, but I have eaten waaaaaay too much of it & feel slightly sick. Figured it's weigh day so if I have a bad day today I can make it up the rest of the week!

Blondes - we always have the reduced sugar/salt beans, I actually prefer them! They are the Heinz/WW ones though, supermarket own are a bit watery IMO.

I have no inspiration with food at the moment, just craving stodge and chocolate...AF looming I think!

Once we have all reached targets are we going to have a weight loss maintainance club, to stop us all slipping back into old habits?! Could not have lost this weight without you guys. Never would have stuck it out this long!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 03/05/2010 16:11

PBM sorry you gained but we are for the long haul,so haul up that furry bum of yours and start afresh this week
TRIMMER fab inch loss
BEBE they taste rank but at rocky road cake/bar thing

mr blondes will be hungary when he comes back from work

250g lean mince 10p
tin toms 0p
peppers, onions, garlic 0p
stock cube and herbs op so mince 10p - will serve 3 so 3.5p and 60g pasta 3p = 6.5p for tea

leaving 1.5p for MONSTER MUNCH CRISPS!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/05/2010 16:13

Hello all, hope the long weekend has been good in your family! We have had a fairly quiet weekend, after all DH's trips, all he wanted was to be at home with us, but that has been very nice.

I say it was quiet, but it was DD"s birthday party last night - 14 teens, mostly girls, and all really lovely, from 6pm for BBQ, birthday cake and DVDs, then camping over in our garden. The boys actually went home at 10.30 ish so just 8 for the camping part. We put up our family tent which has an inner bedroom section ( it is a 4 man tent, but teens like to squash in...... ) so they were perfectly warm, and we had enough good quality sleeping bags to be extra cosy cos it was quite chilly! But the best thing was that it was dry - no rain for the time of the party - fabulous! Breakfast and home by 10am today. Lots of shrieking and hugging as teens do, and all being re-lived on Facebook today A good time was had by all, DD had done all the planning, bought everyone a party bag (!?!) it felt odd to be so removed really, but we loved it because they were great company for the time they were here, and it was so chhheeeaaappp!!!! Since then DD has been in decline and will go to bed v early tonight!!!

I think I would like to have three day weekends every week. Do any of the political parties have that in their manifesto?! They would certainly get my vote!

I have eaten too much and of stuff I wouldn't normally, but then it was weigh in day today so I will have a week to get back on track!

My next target will be to lose 3 more pounds because then I will be an official healthy weight, and that would feel great!
