OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 30/04/2010 13:16

((hugs pbm)). It will be ok

my old nokia was quite fast but iPhone very fast

GettinTrimmer · 30/04/2010 13:27

Afternoon ladies

PBM I was watching on bbc news today about something interesting in Ireland, there are apparently whole estates built near to quiet little towns where nobody (or very few people) have bought the houses! Wouldn't it be awful if after buying a house you were living on an estate with no neighbours?!

Hope all goes well for you today.

blondes well done on sts. Here's to fitting into our nice clothes by the end of July.

mummymels I sympathise with the early starts. I used to have that but now my dc are older I have trouble getting them up! How old are yours?

I got myself another exercise dvd from amazon, it was reduced (5.99) and there's a thread on mn about it - it's called the 30 days shred. I've just done 20 minutes of level 1 and it was just about doable thank goodness as I have exercised recently, but it was really hard. Just hope I can pummel my tummy down before the summer

mummymels · 30/04/2010 17:42

bebe- Sorry to hear you have MS but I hope the injections give you some relief. Yum your tortillas sound scrumptious. Maybe when I am starting to eat more carbs I will try that. I am starting to get to a point when I am craving a bit of carbsand hearing that recipe sounds yummy.

blondes - sorry to hear about your problems with DH but I do hope you manage to sort everything out. Good luck for your last 13 lbs.

PBM - Thanks, I am going to try that on my phone later. lol on the blackberry. I have never even tried using one!

Trimmer - lol on trouble gettings yours up now. I can imagine that happening with my son definitely. My son is 4 1/2 and my daughter is 2 1/2.

That 30 day shred sounds good. I keep noticing lots of posts about it all over the forum and now that you say it is reduced I might treat myself. Ever since dieting I have said Ineed to do exercise and there is no point me saying that all the time if I am not going to doanything about it. I'd be interested in how you find it.

Poohbearsmom · 30/04/2010 22:23

evenin! Well my dears i got the all clear!! Morning all

I've lost 3lb this week. I think probably due to more exercise as increased my points.

PBM So pleased you are all clear! I hope you chill out a bit today. Have you moved yet?

Yes, there's a lack of affordable housing here in the south (I'm on the coast, handy for hopping on the ferry to France! Not that we go very often..), house prices are ridiculous My bro had to wait a long time for his flat from the council, but the problem of houses remaining unsold is more in the North.

Hope all OK today. I am having a break from exercise as I ache! We are also having a take away curry this evening - Blondes, I remember once finding out that a vegetable biriyani has 20 points!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 01/05/2010 09:48

Morning all.

I've lost 0.5 lbs this week, I'm abit about it though as I really don't think I'll get into the dress next week as I've still an inch to go really.

Although I think the gods are conspiring against me as I was going to buy a 14 (it's in the sale now) and I none of the local shops have it in stock, so I checked the internet and there it was, but I had no money until yesterday. So when I looked again, No 14's!!! So the 12 is still in my wardrobe waiting for an excuse to wear it. I do have me friends 30th in June, so maybe I'll aim for that.

Trimmer well done on the 3lbs loss, I ust say I'm Could you do me a favour, I know it's abit time consuming and you don't have to, but could you post your 'routine' how many cals/points aday and what exercise you do and when? You don't have to though.

Blondes Glad it's sorted now with DH and heres to looking to the future.

bebe I can't believe you are so close to 3 stone, you are doing fab lady!!! Glad the injection didn't go to badly and christmas will be upon us quicker than you'll know and next year we will welcome baby bebe into our little 'family' we'll all be super skinny then!

Piste Where are you?

Mummymels welcome back Hope you are feeling better now.

PMB Yeah at the all clear. I betthat is a big weight off your shoulders!!!

Well the sun is shining here today, so am going into town and might go out for a run later (DH gone out on his bike this morning, he thinks he's Lance Armstrong )

TRIMMER ive llost the dvd urge, but am working manic hours but as and when i can i go to the gym - hopefully i will get back into doing the dvd again FAB weight loss, well done!!!!

BEBE im sure all the weight you have lost has really helped with your ms/joints etc and bet your doc is very proud of you

PBM FAB news about your boobs -hmmmmmmmmmm my action plan, well diet started again today, i went out last night to la tasca (was always going, either in sad/shock state or happy/releived - luckily was the relieved state lol) food was yummy, but sure high in points, i havnt bothered to point it,but back on wagon today, have gievn my fat arse an all mighty kick and hope to be back to my 22 points

had oat so simple today, been to the gym, having salmon and salad for lunch leaving enoughts points for a chinky (if dh and i want one) or just have chicken+veg

JODIE sorry you arent in your dress yet, but dont give up,still a week to go and dont forget M&S knickers thx about dh

MUMMYMELSthx and keep up the good work

waves to all the others, hope the oldies dis, piste, tubby, laughalot are ok, as well as newbies fruitgums and sarah

GettinTrimmer · 01/05/2010 14:38

jodie no probs!

Exercise:
Sunday 40 mins run/jog,
Monday None (apart from hoovering!),
Tuesday 1/2 hour Davina Aerobics section and 20 mins Davina kick fit (before dd interrupted me!)
Wednesday None
Thursday 1/2 hour Davina Aerobics, 10 minutes of another dvd called Blast off Belly Fat (had this one for ages but never done it)
Friday 20 minutes level 1 30 day shred
Saturday None yet!

As far as points are concerned, I've not been that great, 60 points Sat, 28 Sunday, 22 Monday, 24 Tuesday, 28 Wednesday, 26 yesterday. But I think the exercise has whittled them down to about 22/23 a day.

I think that short bursts of intense toning/resistence exercise burns off a good amount of calories (Davina ends with abs work). I will have to do more exercise today as I've had a slice of butterscotch cake, hate to think of the points in it

mummymels the only thing I would say about the 30 days shred is that Jillian doesn't offer the low impact version of star jumps and even half press ups are very hard, if you are a complete beginner I would work up to doing the whole 20 mins, it is very intense. I think you'd get away with a bit more garlic bread here and there if you were to do it!

blondes enjoy your chinese tonight! We are having an Indian take away. On second thoughts, I think I'll need to go for a run today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/05/2010 15:43

wow,great exercising trimmer

jodie i do 3 sessions of an hour long of body combat - my heart pounds, my legs/thighs/bum cheeks ache and i swaet, so must be doing something - i normally do thur/fri and sat as work other days

bebejones · 01/05/2010 16:46

Trimmer - FAB exercising you put me to shame!!

Blondes - Doc said he would have been happy with me getting back to pre PG weight...I am alot less than that now! In fact over a stone less! Glad you went and had a nice meal out, you have the whole of the week to make up for it before you weigh in again!

Jodie - well done on the 1.5lbs! Fingers crossed you fit in the frock!

Been to a 1st birthday party & eaten too much buffet food! Although did eat some carrot & celery sticks...alongside the egg sandwiches, cheese & pineapple, sausages ( Blondes) pizza & big piece of rocky road!! Just soup for dinner for me tonight, although I am feeling very very full! Plenty of Trimmer style exercise 2moro. Have started doing box push ups before bed along with my now 50 sit ups. Is definately making a difference. MIL & PIL & friend today all said they can really see how much weight I've lost even though I don't really look like I have to me IYSWIM. We don't have a full length mirror in the house so I don't get to see the 'full effect' of my weight loss!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/05/2010 17:15

Afternoon all..

Just a quick one for now... DD out with a mate and due home v soon, and DS has gone to Swimming Club with DH. It's been a busy week, and today we've done loads of gardening. I'm hoping it chucks it down tonight to throughly water all my lovely new planties!!!

Blondes&Trimmer I am really impressed by both your exercise routines, that's really good. I do 30 -40 mins a day during the week on my bike, and nothing as such during the weekend. Unless rushing around like a blue-arsed fly counts?!

Bebe It is totally fab when people notice how slinky malinky you are isn't it? I'm getting loads of comments now which does help when I'm not feeling so jolly about dieting. We have a big family wedding in September, DD will be a bridesmaid so I want something gorgeous for that weekend.

Jodie Re breathing - Its sooooo over related IMHO, good luck with getting your frock on, but it will have its now sooner or later, I hope its sooner because you have been amazing on the dettox.

PBM Fab for your all clear, you must make sure you go back if you ever have concerns and not just assume.

Mummymels We have the agony of early starts too, some are for DD's early swimming club sessions, but DS aged 10 is waking 5.45 ish.. He is older though I think and will read until its time to get up. I think he looks so tired at the moment.

Good luck everyone for the weigh ins and a massive congrats to those who have already lost this week, wow on the 3lbs Trimmer!

I have to leave the sofa now and look busy, au revoir!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/05/2010 19:59

i decided to be good and have a chicken kebab 4.5p for tea to try and rein in points from yesterday

was yummy

going for a pub roast tom,if i make i can do for 6p, but worled out pub one is about 12 but worth it

JODIEwantsanewname · 01/05/2010 20:19

Piste Hello and welcome back...

Blondes well done on your good choice of dinner, I used to love BC, but I can't afford the gym at the moment, if I remember correctly it burns off about 650 cals per hour session

Trimmer thanks for that info, I just wondered how often you excersised to be able to lose lots of weight consistantly... I think I'll have to try to up my level.

I've been for a run today, week four day one of the Couch to 5k thing, I had to run 3mins, walk 90sec, run 5ins, walk 2 1/2 mins and repeat. And I DID IT!!!! I thought running 5 mins would be impossible. It was nearly impossible, but I did it twice

I've also got sky plussed some cheap 'Carribean workout' for the Body in Balance channel. It's OK though. I did it for an hour last night, first 1/2 was resistance training and second was high impact aerobics, I am aching today after all the lunges!

JODIEwantsanewname · 01/05/2010 20:22

Oh and must add that DH has just gone out for a curry and I'm being good and having a vegetable Saagwala, 90cals per 100g. No Rice and no Naan (but I am having 2 Pappodums!)

I'm also going to a christening tomorrow so buffet food will be a plenty, Sausage rolls, pork pies, sandwiches, cakes, cheese and pineapple on a stick, I will have to do some more running tomorrow me thinks.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/05/2010 20:25

jodie eat salad tom - DONT ruin your good work

and popadums are full of fat, would have thought nam bread healtheier

JODIEwantsanewname · 01/05/2010 22:12

Blondes - thanks for your concern, you are right, I know that my friend is catering it herself and she's on a post baby diet too, so she's got some low fat 'goodies' on offer, a lovely baked salmon, lots of salad and vegetable crudites (sp?) with low fat dips. I love buffets though so will be really tough to ignore all the fatty stuff.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 10:32

morning - off for a roast later and its pissing down - typical bhs!!

have a good day all x

Poohbearsmom · 02/05/2010 11:28

hello hows da weekend going? Well iv been fighting with dh and cleaning and stuffin myself that about sums up mine...
Whats everyone eatin today? Hav a lovely time at the christening jodie and enjoy your lunch out blondes
have a lovely day everyone, off to make shepards pie for the evening and then clean some more.... Hate bloody cleaning.......

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 11:30

shepherds pie pbm - how about mr blondes famous sausage pie instead

do you know dh ate that yesterday for breakie before going off to work - he said it had carbs (mash) protien (sausages) and veg (peppers, onions etc) and was a very healty balanced meal - i had to agree lol

GettinTrimmer · 02/05/2010 17:42

Not good here pbm - left over chinese chips and macaroni cheese for lunch. IKWYM about cleaning, I've had to do the cat's litter tray... is it a bank hol in Ireland tomorrow? Hope dh is alright now.

Blondes, hope you enjoyed your lunch. The weather doesn't look too good for tomorrow, agree typical bh weather, not raining here, just damp, dull.

Jodie - hope your buffet went alright. I had a bit of a falling off the wagon this weekend with chinese take away chips, pancake rolls and prawn crackers

Bebe - What are box press ups? Do you mean when you keep knees on the floor? Impressed at your exercising, the strength you are building up must be very helpful.

I've just had your rhubarb compote with 0% fat greek yogurt, it was scrummy. Back on the wagon now!

My dh got a wii fit, it calculated my wii fit age as 68 Also ds's (age 7) as 27!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2010 17:54

68

tbh chinese isn't that bad on ww tho duck pancake rolls are 7p each

jodie. Hope buffet was nice

bebe. I can't do box press ups and I can't knee easily / put weight on my knee where I popped my knee cap out a few years ago but I do press ups against the wall and still feel them work

Roast was yummy but high in points

will have a salad for tea

GettinTrimmer · 02/05/2010 18:40

7?!

My neighbour from across the road has just knocked, we had arranged to go for a jog, but I'd forgotten. I've just eaten, but we are going later. Finding that out has given me a kick up the backside, Blondes, I was about to give exercising a miss today. Maybe I can work off one pancake roll....
