OK, during the last thread I managed to lose the grand total of...nothing in fact I am a few pounds up [sigh]

Have lost maybe an inch from bust waist and hips so that is something I guess, but I will not be in the same position at the start of the next thread. Sazz Someone give me a stern talking to

LOL Sazz, no need to as you are absolutely right

Well I have cycled 12 miles, been up the stairs at work 8 times and walked round town quite fast for 90 minutes today so am well and truly ExerSazzed this week... not sure how much good it will have done but tomorrow will tell.

Good luck all and if it's bad news we'll just have to try again next week...

Oh I was getting a bit confused about how much I was going up / down so for the record, today I weigh 12 stone.

I am 1.75lb above my best weight which was achieved just before the start of the last thread . Here's hoping the last thread was jinxed and weightloss is restarted as of today...

I am down 3lb on last week so that's a not-too-bad start, although most of that was bread-related temporary gain in the first place.

Have been trying to work out where the thread title came from, I knew I had semi-nicked it from somewhere and it's just popped into my head, phew. It's the lovely David Tennant in his younger days in Takin' Over The Asylum (vv good if you haven't seen it) yelling 'We are loonies and we are proud'

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 12/03/2010 08:40

Sazz another 2.5lb off is brilliant! You must be nearly at the 10st line Am going to have to find something very special to wear...

VG you spoke a lot of sense on the other thread (although veins are grim )

I usually go for dresses, and like wrappy tops with nipped in waists and a-lineish skirts. My arms don't really stand being bare but it doesn't stop me . Oh, and I am skint...

Saw this purply one which is not like the description above but lovely, also this cheaper blue one

Just keep an eye on you all

I told DH about The incredible Shrinking Sazz and he said 'Well when you have had this one you can follow her example - she must look fantastic!' I now have a post baby target.

Well done on the losses again ladies.

hotterpotter · 12/03/2010 08:50

Oops you can tell your DH we have seen his pictures on fb and maybe, once your baby is born, he could lose a bit of weight and maybe he would look fantastic

pmsl hotter, I second that No man should be foolish enough to make such comments to his lady wife, pregnant or otherwise.

Purple dress is lush and will look great on you. In fact, it's so lush I want it myself

Sazz, didn't get a chance to answer this before the thread ran out:

"Can we do anything to help or are you not quite in the right headspace to do a full on 'diet' at this time? Needs a huge amount of physical and mental energy IME"

I was only demotivated in a jokey way Actually I've been thinking along similar lines as you this week re. full on diet vs general efforts towards fitness. I'm definitely not in the right place to do a full overhaul and keep myself strict about everything; there's too much going on and I think I would need to devote all my effort towards it if I went down that road. But I am pleased to be making small but long-term changes to my eating and exercise habits, so am not too bothered at the moment if I don't lose anything. E.g. I have drunk (and enjoyed) wine a couple of times this week, BUT I haven't touched a cake, biscuit or chocolate or crisps, and haven't missed them either.

Today I'm going to have a run round the park in between work and study, so I think I might actually have achieved full ExerSazz for once

dizzydixies · 12/03/2010 11:01

just checking in

cyteen · 12/03/2010 11:43

BTW hotter I forgot to mention before that my friend has a really great style blog that you might be interested to have a look at. She loves clothes and has an excellent eye for what actually suits different shapes and sizes of women. She also does style challenges where people email with questions and she advises accordingly. I find reading her blog a great way to refresh my thinking about clothes, so thought I'd pass it on

luckoftheirish · 12/03/2010 11:46

hey massive well done on hots and sazz.. by my reckoning you must be under the 10 stone mark sazz? ..

cyteen run around the park sounds fab and think you are doing brilliant with everything else that is going on ..

dress looks fab hots and 12 stone mark.. woo hoo.. feel that by this time next week you will def be on the 11 something mark ..

well wee saga as always from me...

as per ALBS instructions did not weigh in all week and have exercised every day for more than 30 mins and watched what i ate.. stepped on the scales today and nada nothing.. still 7.6lbs to lose...

very cross and upset.. went to the gym and decided i would get the trainers to weigh on the special weights scales (not digital).. and have lost 2.6 pounds .. and that was in my vest top/training gear but no shoes... thinking of flinging my scales in the bin!!! but well happy

alittlebitshy · 12/03/2010 11:51

lott . thought you were going to be cross with me then but read on and saw you had lost! yaya!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my weigh in tomorrow. hopeful but also bit worried as have had hot cross buns for brekker the last 2 days and have felt bloated )but full) afterwards. not had much bread type products since started this, so not sure if it will bugger up my losses.

Cyteen tahnks for the link, will check that out tonight.

Albs just drink plenty of water and you'll be fine re Hot Cross Buns.

Loti thank flip for that Think you do need some new scales... No whooping over 12 stone though please, as you will see below I have been here before

Sazz ooh yes please to free dresses . I will fb you tonight but think I have put my address on there before.

Interesting stats from swot there, mine do not make such edifying reading

Stone 1: 8 weeks
Stone 2: 11 weeks to get within 0.75lb of it
Stone 3:........ so far 23 weeks and compared to week 19 I am down the amazing total of..... 0.75lb

I have proved I can do maintenance

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/03/2010 16:32

No worries ladies - I know he wasn't telling me I was tubby but rather that Sazz should be an inspiration. He is also Mr Gym Bunny and has very high self motivation unlike me who would rather sit on the sofa than head outside to the garage gym.

hotterpotter · 12/03/2010 18:50

I am pleased to hear that oops

Well you lot are a very bad influence on me- I have been and tried on that purple frock and it was soooo lovely I bought it Just need to find shoes / cardi to go with it now...

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 12/03/2010 19:49

well done you Hots, I've purple shoes - what size are you?!

hotterpotter · 12/03/2010 20:16

I am a wideish size 8 Dizzy. If only there was some way to get shoes to me without worrying about postage... It's OK anyway, I have tried it on with my one pair of black strappy heel shoes and snug black cardi and it looks pretty good

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 12/03/2010 20:21

wide 8 here too if you decide you'd prefer purple

GreenGardenia · 13/03/2010 08:36

I completely missed logging my weighin yesterday though I did weigh in and am just the same! Oh say it ain't so! FGS I ran my socks off. Having said that I did put on a spectacular 3 pounds at the weekend blitz so am glad to have shifted that.

I am that you are 10.3 Sazz, that's a stone away for me... SOBS

luckoftheirish · 13/03/2010 13:09

good maintenance vg as you have lost quite a lot recently so at least you know its gonna stay off iykwim.. maybes i am just talking rubbish ..

just hopped on my bike and did 23km{14.26 miles} in 36 mins.. not sure if that is good or not really need to get an idea of what i should be doing.. all whist watching spongebob with dd1 ...

off for our usual swimming when dd2 wakes up from nap which will mean me hanging on to dd2 for dear life as she tries to get away whilst dd1 shouts "mummy, mummy play with me"
