Yes apaarently the muscle build is done by tiny rips in the muscle during exercise, and the ache is those rips healing.

Sound plausible?

hotterpotter · 24/03/2010 10:36

Oh I am hungry today. Good job I am not at home or I would be eating toast by now. Had 3 apples and still 90 minutes to lunch. Oh, I have had 3 biscuits too but not chocolate ones...

God, gaining when you are being good is the absolute pits.

Thanks for saying I can have a wee treat, unfortunately I am just starving, roaming the house for treats at the moment, longing for chocolate (luckily there's none) and a big sandwich with a monster glass of wine or some such.

Hmmmmmmmm cup of tea, cup of tea...

GreenGardenia · 24/03/2010 20:03

Oh potster for you this week, tis tough. Agree stress and birthdays conspire to foul up one's week. Don't review yourself in such a negative light though, please, you are a totally different woman to the one you were six months ago so more focus on that please, and the knowledge that you can do a couple more months of hard core and then float like a weeny little feather into maintenance.

well done on the good eating Sazz..

must confess i had a glass of wine last night and a few crisps ..

definitely a gain for tomorrow unless i can magically disappear at least 3lbs .. have dd2 at home today as poorly as usual so hoping bike at lunch and maybe a walk if dd2 is up to it..

thinking of you today hots..

hope you found something healthily to eat vg

luckoftheirish · 25/03/2010 13:21

managed 40 mins 26km on bike whilst listen to dd2 chat in her cot.. no time for any more as she really wasn't going to sleep

Good work gals keep it up!

Nice bike work lotster, Sazz hope you managed your run today and that the weather improves and leaves you craving rocket lightly dressed with lemon juice. Actually I am craving that today, perhaps with a little well marinaded fillet steak on top... mmm will save for Saturday supper though.

Am temporarily derailed by Achilles tendonitis, am on orders to rest (I think I can row though) so am as was really getting into swing of running and don't want to let it slide. Did 7K the other day though and spent next 2 days limping and in absolute aggers so .

ataraxis · 26/03/2010 07:19

Morning all

Brilliant efforts everyone I am so impressed with you all (and the fact that you have been so committed for so long)

Thanks for the info on hotmamas - can I plead the 2 working parents juggling 3 kids amendment on the 4 times a week please? I just know it won't happen and don't want to set myself up to fail.

However... I have increased the exercise time to 25 mins = 10k and feels reasonable at the moment.

Weight this morning 10st 6lbs so -3lb, to be honest, I think it's more to do with time of day and previous weigh-in being premenstrual, but I'll take it

Took my own lunch to work and deliberately didn't get any money out so didn't impulsive buy cake/snacks/coffees even when I was really tempted.

No crisps.

Not a bad week
