need to lose at least 4 stone

I have had two children in 26 months, and my youngest is 8 months old. I have actually put on a stone since she was born! I also breastfeed! So , so much for that!

Anyway, last week I was 14 stone 3lbs! The heaviest I have ever been in my life!

I decided I really needed to do something about it properly this time. I want to lose at least 4 stone, initially, which will give me a bmi of 25.

I have started SlimFast, and in the first week have lost 6lbs.

It is going ok for me so far, I was a terrible eater in the day, would barely eat till the afternoon, when I might have some toast or a sandwich, but then once dh was home from work, eat a huge evening meal or take out, crisps, chocolate!

So, now I am having the meal replacement bars for Breakfast and lunch, and 3 snacks a day and trying to drink lots of water, then a 600 calorie evening meal.

I hate how I look at the moment. I have suffered quite badly with PND since my youngest was born, and part of this has manifested itself into my fear of leaving the house on my own with my two children. I think, that the fact that I hate how I look, and think people are laughing at me because of this, does not really help me recover.

So, I hope you all do not mind me joining you in this section.

meandjoe - well done for staying the same, keep going you are doing so well.
I am doing ok still plogging on, last week was good I lost 4 lb, got 2 stone to go.
Have been doing the 30 day shred exercise DVD aswell in an attempt to tone up too.

Facepalm - hows it going be back at work? I am due back 15th June after a years maternity leave. Can't say I am looking forward to it. Just love being at home with 2 DC, finding it so rewarding at the moment. I also tend to put on weight when at work as there is always so much food round my office due to birthdays. For some reason the birthday person always supplies a huge buffet of crisps, dips and chocolate!!! Help......

Been ages sine I've been on here, seems like it's gone a bit quiet! Has everyone been doing well or like me failed miserably! Is that why no-one's been on here lately??? I'm still the same as I was last time I posted but I have had my birthday celebration of wine and cake (which lasted about a month ) which has undoubtedly slowed my prgress down! Back on track as of today though, realised that I only have 8 weeks til I am a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding and I really don't want to look like a whale wobbling down the aisle! A week after that I am a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding too so I seriously have to shift a bit of fat by August.....anyone still around for some support??

This is my first post here. I've joined a free website called Myfitnesspal.com. It's really good - you put in how much you weigh now, how much you want to be and it calculates your calorie, carb, fat & protein 'allowances' for each day. Then you just log what you've eaten & drunk (there's 1000s of foods in the database and you can add new ones) and you can see how well/naughty you're doing.
Nothing is 'forbidden' - as long as you take it into account when logging your food you can even have chocolate/ice cream etc.
I've lost half a stone in the first week but know it will now slow down to a steady loss if I stick to it which will be easier to keep off.
