average day is special k - move away from the special K, it has more sugar than cornflakes So better eating the cornflakes than the higher calorie special k

Measure a portion and put into a beaker or cup then next time you don't need to weigh the food just pour into the beaker each morning.

NumberOneEnemy · 08/03/2010 12:46

oh right
might move on to branflakes.
i llikes them too.
tbh i haev a big bowl to stop snackage

think aswell - you can have one coissant or 7 slices of bread toasted.

Do you need the butter or marg in a snadwich - go without?

small habits make big changes that will stay with you rather than big changes that you can't keep up and makes a small change for a while and then you ditch altogether and stay the same weight.

Joby1970 · 08/03/2010 12:51

remember guys if you go too low calorie then your body goes into famine mode. eat sensibly & up the exercise

jenduff · 08/03/2010 12:52

This looks a bit scary but strictis what I need to keep me on the straight and narrow

NumberOneEnemy · 08/03/2010 12:53

oh i dont EAT BREAD or butter oh no.
am veg souper at lunch

OP posts:
jasper · 08/03/2010 13:39

My mum's tablet tastes better than being slim feels

Clarissimo · 08/03/2010 13:44

Yeah but, the minute you veer away from perfection the weight will pile on, and who wants veg soup etc at Christmas / birthday / etc?

been there etc.

Am losing weight now on a mix of moderate eating (what I want but less of with extra veg) and thrice weekly trips to the gym, about a dress size in 3 weeks.

And more energy too, and if I want to eat more I can go an extra day, or whatever.

TheFoosa · 08/03/2010 13:47

you will get bored after a couple of weeks

and start craving carbs

TheFoosa · 08/03/2010 13:48

a creme egg DEFINATELY tastes as good as being slim feels

Ivykaty44 · 08/03/2010 14:43

tbh i have a big bowl to stop snackage -noo,

split the portion in half and take the other portion with you - then you can snack cos your body likes snacking it thinkg ohh whippy I am getting food and doesn't go into starvation mode wow

jenduff · 08/03/2010 15:45

Numberoneenemy said this is a strict thread - and [tut] at all these dissenters suggesting things that allegedly taste better than being slim feels

rightfootfirst · 08/03/2010 21:34

I'm in, no faffing about is what I need

Doing low carb, want to loose ideally 14lbs but would be delighted with 10lb!

Struggling atm, eaten as I should today but really craving choc...chewing on disgusting sugarfee gum to keep try and keep a lid on it.

NumberOneEnemy · 08/03/2010 21:35

rightfootfirst · 08/03/2010 21:44

Way I feel I'm more likely to eat the toothpaste than use it!

moodlum · 08/03/2010 21:50

In. On yet another diet thread.

But I did keep to WW today. But if this is a strict dieting thread, with no carbs what do you have for breakfast? Bran flakes or Special K is carbs isn't it?

Two weetabix and one slice of toast no butter just jam is a good breakfast and only 4 points on WW.

cyb · 08/03/2010 21:55

I AM HERE

Actually what you are suggesting is what I should be eating, eg its a normal persons diet rather than the gluton from hells' banquet I have been gorging myself on. (actually I'm not that bad)

And I am at work at 10.14 thats why I was not ere

rightfootfirst · 08/03/2010 21:56

egg. lots of egg. and then more egg.
no, really, any protein source so basically a fry-up without the bread. lots of veg as well. Done it before with success, but for me hardest is the sugar cravings. Loving the India knight 'idiot proof guide book', good outline for what you cab and can't have - just have to be strict with yourself.
