signs up to thread

I've been doing SW since beginning of July. Went away for two weeks which didn't really help lol, but have lost 9lbs since starting

TitsalinaBumsquash · 13/08/2009 13:00

Well done tammybear

I didn't go to WI this week i expected a large gain and was already stressed from muchos hospital appointments with DS1, i have been an angel since then though and have stuck to the plan 100% (however tempting DP's Fruit and Nut icecreams are!)
I am hopefull going swimming again tonight -yay! Its the only excersise i really enjoy.

Im not going to stick to plan all the time on holiday, i don't srink any way but shall indulge in crust bread and maybe some chocolate, i wont go nuts though! I will be walking loads and swimming on site so hopefully i can maintain or get away with a tiny gain.

just marking the thread

off to buy my ys his first ever pair of football boots...he wants to start playing....luckily a local club trains on the field just down the road...perfect

shivermetimbers · 13/08/2009 15:52

Started dieting at new year and have lost 4st7lb but have reached a plateau. Have done slimming world before and still have the books so was thinking of starting up again. Would my old books ( about 4 yrs old) do, or have things changed? Dont want to join a class as i am too fat embarrassed.

ursulashipton · 13/08/2009 16:40

love the thread title tits

I am using books from 2005/06 shiver - welcome

grinningbe, that stinks. is there any kind of legal action being taken by anyone?

I have had a good day so far today, but DH is being such a wanker (again) that it could go awry quite eaily. I even had a proper row with him today, in front of the kids, something I never do

thankfully he has gone to work now.

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 13/08/2009 16:48

Can I join? Started again on SW programme last Thursday and lost three pounds of baby weight in a week. Yey!

Like you shiver, I'm just doing the plan from the books I had after DS was born in 2006.

Got 1 stone 5lbs to lose to get to target weight.....

grinningbee · 13/08/2009 17:10

I'm doing the plan from old books too (2005). Actually, somewhere around I still have the ones from 1992!

I'm not too sure what to do Ursula re the tickets. It's being pursued through the card company, but other than that I'm clueless. Seems it's happened to a lot of folks though.

Anyway. I resisted the cookies by having a nap with dd, and have eaten an apple isntead.

I wish you could get chocolate chip apples!

Welcome to the fellow dieters

tammybear · 13/08/2009 19:17

I just had a chocolate fairy cake with buttercream... oops. Wonder how many syns that is... lol.

Does anyone know how the mix and match days work? Because that confuses me how you can have a green lunch and a red dinner for example

AuntieMaggie · 13/08/2009 20:14

Yay new thread

And.... I lost 4 and a half pounds this week

Tammy I have been doing mix to match - it's easy do you have it in the book?

You have 3 meals a day, and can have green or red at each and the relevant HE but anything that is eaten between meals that isn't a superfree food you have to syn. Which doesn't matter to me because cos I usually eat fruit or hifibar or something.

At least I think that's how it works...

I have cereal for breakfast, salad and jacket for lunch and then meat based dinner.

It's really easy once you get the hang of it and I find it better than red or green.

RIAlityBites · 13/08/2009 20:32

YAY Auntiemaggie well done!

I have blown my day (no surprises) I had a couple of small glasses of wine and crisps while the DCs had their tea. DH has really pissed me off.

I'm back to being Ria, obviously the "witch" wasn't on my side this time

AuntieMaggie · 13/08/2009 21:26

Just picked DP up from train station and he has pissed me off too - if I had more than 50p and didn't have a headache I'd be having wine and more!

tammybear · 13/08/2009 21:28

Thanks AuntieMaggie, I did have one of those books that came in the pack about it, but I was still a bit about it. So thanks And well done on the weight loss.

ConnieComplaint · 13/08/2009 22:46

yes

ConnieComplaint · 13/08/2009 22:52

Sorry - I have no idea what happened re: that last post!!

Sorry I have been AWOL for a few days!! FIL was ill in hospital (heart attack) but he got out today thankfully & is showing great signs of recovery

MAGGIE!! WOW!!!! good for you girly!! Fabbo!!

I gained 1lb this week

Welcome to all the new members

Tits, sorry to hear DS is having more hospital time, it's difficult for you. When are you going on hols? where you heading? Me...nosey... not much!!

I joined a gym tonight!! I also walked/ran for an hour at lunch time! Tonight in the gym I did great on the running machine!! So my very own free PT told me...!!! She's my sister!! She teaches aerobics classes, spin classes & runs marathons, so who else would seem like a natural person to push me!!!

tullytwo · 14/08/2009 10:41

Feeling very fed up-had maintained at last weigh in even though I hadnt even used any syns most days and this week seems to be the same-dont know what I am doing wrong but its v frustrating.

I find my body always does this when I start to lose weight - just shuts down. Dont know if it is the PCOS or just me!

Feel really heavy this week too and weighed myself today just to check and am still the same-feel so disheartened but am not giving up -just hoping a miracle occurs before WI on Monday!

RIAlityBites · 14/08/2009 16:02

DH appears to be speaking again today. I am shattered - had to sleep in with DS2 last night as our bed broke and DH didn't fix it before he went to work. He piled books under it so he could go to sleep (and I bet you it'll still be like that at christmas!)

I suppose really yesterday wasn't so bad. I only had 1 HE and didn't have any tea, just the wine and crisps.

Am doing OK again today, but I can feel the evening creeping up on me

I wish I had willpower of steel!

hope your FIL is OK connie.

tammybear · 14/08/2009 17:13

Connie, that's good your sis is your PT. Sorry to hear about your FIL but glad everything is okay now

Tully, I've had a couple of weeks like that. I've been sticking to it, but somehow it doesn't seen to do anything But good about not giving up

Ria, sorry to hear you're having trouble at home

I've been trying to be very good. Usually I only lose a lb, so really want to be losing more, but I don't eat much fruit, veg or salads so I feel like it's harder in some ways, particularly when I want to snack. I've got 8lbs to go til my club 10 target, and 1 stone 8 1/2 lbs til my actual target.

TitsalinaBumsquash · 14/08/2009 17:25

I have blown my great day

I have had a scone with clotted cream and jam, an ice cream and a slice of cake.

We took the boys to our local Butterfly farm and exotic animal shelter and then the beach. I took a healthy on plan lunch and ate that to.

oops!

Tesco have those 6 packs of chocolate mullerlite on 2 packs for £3!

RIAlityBites · 14/08/2009 18:50

p/w peach

I've blown my good day too tits. Di dyou have a good time though? It sounds nice.

Wish my kids would go to bed...

ConnieComplaint · 14/08/2009 21:35

My kids are only just in bed Ria. DD is listening to my mp3 player which she thinks I don't know she has

Ds is 'reading' a book in bed.. genius that he is at 4

I've turned the heating on, waiting for the water to be warm enough for me to have a nice hot bath before bed.

DH is still on nights

Plan going not too bad today, though I did have a mouthful of something naughty belonging to DH earlier!(get yer minds outta the gutter!!)It was a swiss roll!! and it was barely a taste!

I also did an hour at the gym tonight My sis couldn't make it, but I went along on my own... felt slightly intimidating to be the only female in a male orientated gym, but everyone else was far more interested in themselves than in what I was doing!!

RIAlityBites · 14/08/2009 21:52

I am wavering

actually I'm not wavering, I am in a dark place and having silly thoughts like I might as well accept I'm a fat person and forget all hopes of nice clothes

hope it's just the run-up to star week.

why is it so hard?

ConnieComplaint · 14/08/2009 22:07

Noo!! Do you have msn? I'm more than happy to chat to you.

Email me on thehauntedjammiedodger @ yahoodotcodotuk (with the actual dots & without the spaces!) & I will try to convince you!

RIAlityBites · 14/08/2009 22:16

thanks connie, I don't have MSN. I am on FB though.

I think the best thing will be for me to turn off and go to bed TBH.

hopefully I'll feel brighter in the morning
