StrictlySazz · 22/09/2009 10:52

Morning, just leaving Gym - have done 12k on the bike, 2k rowing, 1/2 mile swim. I do look a bit like or even angry] after my exertions.
After my swim i went into the sauna for some quiet rest and relaxation, lying down with my eyes close. Some woman comes in and starts yabbering on to me about her walk to B&Q, her Grandaughters first birthday photo shoot and her knee replacements. I just wanted peace and quiet. i know IABU in that she is probably a bit lonely, wanted a chat or was being polite, but i kept thinking, please leave me alone

Special K for brekker, salad for lunch and venison burgers for dinner

VintageGardenia · 22/09/2009 14:04

Cor blimey Sazz that's a great workout you got, fair play to you!

My good news is the creche was just as nice as it appeared. ds2 seemed happy. I went changed so it took 32 mins to leave him in, do run and get him again (sans shower!).

I ran 4k and walked another 0.5k in exactly 30 mins and felt ok (I mean not ready to meet the Queen or be interviewed by J. Ross or anything but compos mentis and compos lungs/heart) so perhaps I was just tired at weekend OR your blardy furrin treadmills are harder work . I stopped because I'd said half an hour for ds, not because I was about to collapse or explode (I was also so BORED) so I could probably have forced myself on.

Sorry what a dull post.

You can all wake up now.

VintageGardenia · 22/09/2009 17:22

Hope DH got on ok today Sazzles.

I think I posted yesterday about having lost my taste for fatty food. Why then can i only think about a bacon sandwich today?

A venison burger would be a close second.

StrictlySazz · 22/09/2009 21:07

Wow, our dinner was delicious - burger in a bun with chilli jam, onion and tomato, oven chips and rocket & watercress with shaved parmesan and balsamic . Still under my calories for the day due to the exercise [hurrah]

Great news on the creche VG and the running - we are all ExerSazzing very well

Quick 1/2hr swim for me tomorrow morning before DD2's lesson

hotterpotter · 22/09/2009 21:09

Well done both on your ExerSazz, I too ahve been getting sweaty and managed 11 miles in 30 minutes on my bike

Your tea sounds delish Sazz, I have had roast chicken with many veg and few potato, was yummy too but 3 hours ago. Hungry again now...

StrictlySazz · 23/09/2009 14:57

Logging in 0.75 mile swim (30 mins) this morning. Grapefruit for brekker, cottage cheese salad for lunch & a peach and baked ham, new pots and cauli cheese + yoghurt for dinner

Not that i have of course, but had i stepped on the scales this morning, i might expect to be a couple of millimetres below the plateau on which i had been residing

hotterpotter · 23/09/2009 21:17

I didn't get weighed today either, but if I had, I have a sneaky suspicion there might have been a little bit of good news

Also been on my bike again. It is quite boring but I have found I can play solitaire on my ipod while still going at 20 miles per hour so a few games of that to break the monotony plus loud music help the minutes and miles pass. 11 miles in 30.9 minutes

The only thing is, I have lost 1 or 2 lb but my skirt has been quite tight today and my belly is sticking out more than usual. Still 5 or 6 days to my period so shouldn't be bloated from that, so not sure wtf is going on. I almost literally can't be preggo Is it the sides of my embryonic six-pack pushing the middle of my belly out????

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 24/09/2009 09:24

Still looking good for tomorrow's weigh-in [hopeful] I am going to drink loads of water today and not eat too much tea just to help it along

Swimming today with a bit of luck so can have a night off exercise bike, hurrah No swimming next week as I am off work but then hoping for 1/2 hour child-free each day on holiday to sleep go swimming in the sea

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 24/09/2009 09:31

, Definitely the six pack, definitely

Looking ok here for a loss too . Nothing magnificent but anything down is good in my book. I didn't go to the gym after CM dropoff as i was so wound up by the two of them this morning that i couldn't contemplate it. I will aim to go before i go and pick them up later

Well done on the cycling and swimming hots, you'll be entering for a triathlon soon alongside your driving licence . Have you treated yourself to a new cozzy/bikini for your hols. I think you deserve it for all your hard work

hotterpotter · 24/09/2009 09:45

I have bought a (second hand) cozzie and a new bikini Think I may not get too much wear out of my bikini in a week, and by next year it will be too big for me ()but I can always add it to the huge pile of stuff I am never going to get round to sell it on ebay

You know that small child frustration is definitely a calorie-burner, well it is in my house (red face, increased heart rate/blood pressure, clenching/unclenching of fists...)

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 24/09/2009 13:27

40 lengths (1km) swim, check.

4x ExerSazz for the week, check.

Healthy salad lunch, check.

Still hungry? Check

Being good though and attempting to fill up with water and apples, although man at the adjacent desk is talking about home made tiramisu It's a good job the chocolate machine is far far away

StrictlySazz · 24/09/2009 15:21

Hurrah hotter - the next thread will have to be named after you for all your inspirational exercise and food combo's . Holiday's are a great incentive aren't they?

I have done 2 ExerSazz so far, will be going swimming in a mo, walk tomorrow and gym on Sunday. Hopefully this will rectify any falling off the wagon which is bound to may occur tomorrow

dizzydixies · 24/09/2009 15:48

DH currently at Drs for his follow up appt for that Xingy thingy - will let you know

StrictlySazz · 24/09/2009 20:36

How did he get on Dizz?

Have done 40 lengths this avo so 3 x ExerSazz completed. Bran flakes for brekker, mushrooms on toast for lunch and thai chicken & lemongrass broth with noodles for dinner

Did you get through your day ok Hots with chocolate temptations?

hotterpotter · 24/09/2009 20:46

Yes I have had no chocolate, nor any biscuits from the teasing work biscuit tin I have had home made chicken curry for tea with small portion of rice and am now drinking a decaf cup of tea before having a final pint of water. There's no way I am gonna get to 11-stone-something in time for my holidays (8 days, yay ) but I will hopefully be nearly there...

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 25/09/2009 06:34

3lb (and a quarter) off, woo hoo so just 3 more to go to my target.

Of course I could just be weaving an elaborate fantasy and in fact gained 10lb since we have been doing this. I wonder if there is any way to get external HotMama verification...I know, everyone COME TO SHEFFIELD

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 25/09/2009 07:14

Morning

Not weighing here I know from yesterday I am still the same. I am amazed somehow that my jeans are loose at the waist .

I have done 4 exersazz this week

3 walks to and from town 40mins each and yesterday DH and I stomped to town and back from his office, a nice round 4 miles.

StrictlySazz · 25/09/2009 07:38

Hurrah, well done Hots - 3lbs off here too. Must be something in the moon . Oops you don't need to weigh now i think - just healthy eating and moderate exercise will do

LOL at verification, you never know.....

hotterpotter · 25/09/2009 08:52

Yay Sazz for your 3lb. Isn't it weird though how we seem to coincide? And I was sooooo bad last weekend , still not questioning it

Oops you don't need to weigh now, but still, well done for not putting any weight on I know when I was pg with DS I put about 1/2 stone on almost straight away and then continued to pile it on so I ended up putting on 3 stone . Healthy eating and gentle exercise is definitely the way to go.

I know, I know, I should be working, but have been playing around with a BMI calculator. 12lb to normal Maybe by Christmas...

VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 11:01

dizzy how did dh get on? Hope it is working for him.

Well done Sazz and hotsy on your 3lb apiece! Fantastic .

I as usual am lagging behind BUT this week I am pleased to report a 2lb drop which is a very good week for me and I think reflects my exercising again after my unintentional break for a couple of weeks. I am glad that ds is happy in the new creche now, am running again at 12.30.

oops super stuff on the walking / stomping! I remember being unbearably tired early on while preg, both times, so I am really impressed that you are so full of bounce but I suppose dd is going to keep you very active during this pregnancy anyway, isn't she, judging on her athletic performance last weekend!

dizzydixies · 25/09/2009 11:05

oh well done ladies - excellent results all round haven't weighed today as this morning got away from me, am intending on doing it tomorrow instead but I do have a night out tonight even DD1 asked when I was going to do it!!

VG thats brilliant news re the creche - DH and I were whinging about it yesterday that there are NO creches at gyms here at all - we have decided that we're going to sit down and do a bit of time management for the gym etc and see if it is worthwhile him joining again - I'd just be happy if he went out and had a shot on that fecking bike he bought

he has lost nothing and it very disappointed as he felt he had - got a lecture for his trouble from the Dr and has been told he's getting this lot only if he makes a concerted effort - no loss no more tablets next time. His first concession was to take his birthday cake into work and give it away to his shift so its a start I suppose - we'll see how he does when tempted with the evil that it beer tonight

right, off to make homemade soup - it works magic you know

VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 11:13

Dizzy that's crap for him, poor fellow, v disheartening - had he been trying to be careful as well as taking the dwugs? If it is Xenical he takes isn't it that they are supposed to inhibit the absorption of fat?

StrictlySazz · 25/09/2009 11:20

Excellent news VG - i really think the exercise or even change in exercise can give a good kick start to the losses again. You must be pleased with 2 off after your long plateau

It is my ritual after my morning pee, before ingesting a drop of food or drink

VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 11:25

Thank you Sazz! I am pleased, though rather keenly aware is not as good progress as you & pots.

My scales is in the bathroom and I think these days I hardly ever use the bathroom without wondering how I am doing weight-wise. I hope I am not this obsessed for ever. Perhaps if I ever hit ten stone I will be able to relax. Though then at ten stone 9-13 is going to be just too attractive, etc etc. I bore everyone around me. Thank God for here .
