Hey Sazzles hope you don't mind the nameheck but you are our inspiration [crawly bumlick]

dizzydixies · 25/09/2009 12:39

yes VG however when his problem isn't so much fatty foods as sweeties/cakes he really has to make more of a concerted effort on his own part!!

Sazz because I do mine on the Wii Fit I have to set it up turn it on, wait on it to load, go through the morning blah blah blah nonsense etc etc and this morning was just a mess discussion has been had by myself and DH that not having scales in house obviously isn't working so tis now time to have a set

VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 13:17

LADIES

ALERT

I had an assessment at gym and they weighed me two pounds lighter than I am at home!!!

Tralala.

dizzydixies · 25/09/2009 16:55

well done you!!

VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 17:21

Merci.

And what did I do to celebrate?

Why, I ate a whole bag of sesame sticks and for pudding had a bun. Not just a fairy cake, either, a big bastarding cupcake affair with about two inches of icing.

Feel sick, I do. Literally and metaphorically.

hotterpotter · 25/09/2009 18:34

LOL VG I have just scoffed some sticky toffee pudding and cream well, it is 7 days till next weigh in and it was half-fat squirty cream

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 19:27

Mine was full fat buttercream.

hotterpotter · 25/09/2009 20:07

I do like the sound of your big bastarding cupcake I think actually that the hotmamas ethos is rubbing off a little bit because here was a delish looking chocolate and vanilla cheesecake which I really nearly bought but it had 6x 400-calorie portions whereas the s-t-p only had 4x400 so I have saved myself at least 400 calories because DH and I would have scoffed the rest once DC were in bed

I do feel a little bit sick too bloody healthy eating making us more sensitive to fatty food

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 25/09/2009 20:13

LOL at you feeling bit sick too we're in for it when Sazz gets back. I am also half a bottle of wine down tonight already . It's good we feel sick cos shows us the sweety fatty stuff is wrong wrong wrong for our fab foxy frames hence hotmamas have helped horrendously having halved helpings, hetc. Hic.

hotterpotter · 25/09/2009 22:01

LOLOLOL at your tipsy alliteration VG Am tipsy too now, but have cunningly bought DH meat-flavoured crisps which I don't really like so hoping to go to bed without too much more damage inflicted

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 26/09/2009 10:46

Ate smoked salmon & bread, mussels in cream and white wine sauce with chips, wine champagne, beer, curry, rice and poppadoms

Oh dear

Loving bastarding cupcakes and clever alliterations too

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 14:03

Sazz you devil! Still I bet when you have confessed all to LordFord it wasn't tooo bad, as long as you didn't have half a loaf of bread/half a pint of cream sauce Glad you had fun anyway

We are off to a little girl birthday party in half an hour, don't know whether to hope there is cake for mummies or no cake (of course you know me better than that, there better be some cake )

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 14:08

Forgot to confess to 3 handfuls of crisps too that booze is no good for my willpower

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 19:52

Well there were buns, party rings, more buns, sausages, crisps, sandwiches etc etc and although I did have one bun I only had a few bits from the buffet so quite successful really especially as we walked the mile there and back. Had some (but not too much) lasagne for tea but I'm hungry now, as well as shattered. Am having two pints of water in the hope it's thirst but if not I may have to succumb to the lure of crisps tonight . If I do I will have an extra ExerSazz tomorrow which will knock off some of the damage

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 27/09/2009 09:10

How funny that we were all off sinning at the same time!

Not very good last night either, half a bottle of wine, a gin & tonic and numerous raspberry vodkas (home-made, preen) as well as fabulous lamb melting off the bone, samosas and half of dp's pudding. This morning the scales ALREADY show plus three! so back to the grindstone now! Roast chicken for lunch/dinner but have to scoot to football in some godawful unknown zone atm.

Well done on buffet restraint hotsy!

Good gymming today Sazz.

hotterpotter · 27/09/2009 12:29

I did have crisps in the end and rather a lot of wine, but not as bad as my DH who shared a 150g bag of crisps with me then ate another one all to himself after I'd gone to bed [greedy pig]

Managed to avoid hangover-soothing toast this morning and just had an apple and some coffee while waiting for 10am sausages and dippy egg, so that is definitely progress

Raspberry vodka sounds yummo VG. I am planning to bring a suitcase full few bottles of cheapo voddy back from Majorca - I may have to experiment with a few flavours

StrictlySazz · 27/09/2009 12:42

Hello fellow sinners wagonners

Was ok yesterday, despite craving bread - managed to keep it to toast & Marmite, half a tuna sansich & rice cakes and home cooked chicken curry & rice with 2 small beers

Today has been Special K and a cottage cheese salad. Pork fillet a la DH for tea

VG i too was plus 3 this morning

Hots that's an impressive amount of crisps for one man , and yet you say he is still a racing whippit [unfair]

hotterpotter · 27/09/2009 16:49

Don't worry Sazz he's not so skinny these days, he has a tiny muffin top and love handles, and I really do weigh a couple of pounds less than him for the first time in 15 years . Joy tempered by the fact I am 5' 7" and he is 6' 3"...

We've been to the local kite festival so that's a good mile either way with DS in the sling, plus some wandering round and attempted kite flying whilst we were there. Good work undone by eating an ice cream but I did share it with DS

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 27/09/2009 20:23

I am SOOOOOOOOOO hungry. DH is cooking dinner (which he is a diamond about as he has spent 8hrs making my shoe cabinet today), but he has just gone for a bath and left me with a glass of red. It is taking every fibre of willpower not to go and raid the cupboards/fridge

Mind you the choice would be rice cakes, weightwatchers hula hoops or 0% fat yoghurt so maybe not too much willpower required

hotter my DH was selected on the basis that he is taller and heavier than me

VintageGardenia · 27/09/2009 21:53

I have had a dreadful day following from yesterday, barm brack and cake at my mum's for tea, then toasted cheese sambo made by ds1 for supper (there was no way I could refuse). Fatal. Tis sad how much I hate ceding control of the cooking... but only because I can't control the cals, not because I don't love being cooked for.

Hope dins was nice for you Sazz, lucky you with cheffy DH, and good work on the walking and ice cream sharing, pots.

Tomorrow is BACK ON TRACK!! I am going to get my new programme from the gym which I am looking forward to, and food will be back to normal again.

Must say we' vehad a nice weekend though night all am pooped so off.

StrictlySazz · 28/09/2009 07:21

I am the same about control VG . I have to remind DH not to use loads of butter/cream etc and he is generally pretty good

1lb up on Friday weigh to start the week so not as bad as it has been recently so hoping for a good week. I now have spots though so think period may be on its way (have no idea of dates) so i may blame see some water retention

hotterpotter · 28/09/2009 09:45

I know it's tricky while we are in full-on lose weight mode, but surely our overall plan needs to include things like toasted cheese and mango chutney sandwiches (if not it should!) it's all about balance so if we have a fatty few days we just have a healthy few days to make up for it and everyone's happy (and still slender). Where I have gone wrong before is to have a fatty few days then think 'oh feck it' and eat cake every day for a month. Not any more, even if I have to keep posting on here until I'm 80

Very good on the 1lb Sazz, I am up 2 but was up 2 last week after my bread frenzy and still managed to lose 3 so we'll see... Oh btw you should expect your period Wednesdayish as it comes when mine does.

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 28/09/2009 10:58

I know what you mean hotter but it's just too difficult at the moment - I am losing (ok steadily) but slowly even when I am eating perfectly, I really feel I cannot afford to break my habits . At the gym the other day even though I weighted 2 pounds lighter than at home they also did my body fat and I can't even tell you what it was, let's just say HIGH and I just want to be at a healthy position as soon as possible.

StrictlySazz · 28/09/2009 13:00

VG that's why i like Lord Ford (Food Focus), because you can log your cheese & mango sandwich, wine etc and he is normally ok with it, especially if you have done an hours exercise earning 500-600 cals. Then you just eat around the blowout higher calorie meal, either that day or the next and stay on target, and stay losing

hots i will PMSL if it is Weds, i truly have no idea, but we do seem in synch with our losses, sinning etc so i wouldn't be surprised

VintageGardenia · 28/09/2009 13:31

am not in sync with anyone

However I have been to the gym & got a great programme, two alternate ones actually for every 2nd day, looking forward to starting tomorrow. DS2 a bit glum entering and leaving creche but the ladies there really are so so kind and sweet to him and they play and cuddle so I am happy to keep trying for another while. I have been cheering myself up on the way home thinking of nice things to get them for Christmas as they really do try their hardest and are lovely.

StrictlySazz · 28/09/2009 13:46

Oh bless you VG, you will soon be in sync as you will be up to 4*ExerSazz a week with the help from the lovely creche ladies , which will definitely help you get in sync with losses. And you were in sync with sinning on Fri

You are going to think i am just saying this to make you feel better, but i promise i am not - I too was thinking about creche gifts last night but only came up with chocolates. My inventiveness and imagination overwhelms me sometimes
