I wonder if it is summat to do with the moon, as I am not only plateauing but also going up 1lb up on last Friday which means 2lb up since last Thursday I knw I have not been very good but not that bad and I have done loads of exercise the only thing I can think of (apart from the chilli cheese sticks from the buffet ) is not enough water

Good luck with the pizza tonight Sazz, just tuck in and enjoy, you might as well while you are replateauing

Good luck to the rest of you

hotterpotter · 18/09/2009 08:29

I just realised pizza is tomorrow night, doh. I think I am going to drink as much water as I can today then reweigh in the morning like I always do and see what happens. This will help to keep me off the carbs tonight (apart from wine, obv)

Hello all do you know tbh I cannot remember what exactly I weighed in at last week (this is how distracted I have been), I am either half a pound down or even Stevens so not much cop either way and I cannot drink one more mouthful of water!

Not a great week for the three of us then - my exercise will be sorted next week though, excited about that, and other stuff here more organised so should be better all round.

Physically, though, I feel fine, AND I got a swit-swoo this morning (ok so it was only from another mum at the school gate but still!).

Down a bit or level is OKish VG, and the admiration of others, even if they are girls not handsome swoonsome fellas, gives a lovely warm feeling doesn't it I have actually had a couple of (sadly not swoonsome) male colleagues acknowledge my weightloss this week for the first time; I think they just need a whole lot more evidence than the ladies

Sazz well done on your exercise today I'm sure it'll do the trick. I managed another 1km in the pool, 39 minutes so a slight improvement but nowhere near your mile record

Had two tiny muffins at work today and quite a big piece of cheese but am drinking water now so shan't be too thirsty come wine o'clock

Ladies - I fear from here on out I will be gaining Will stick to here though as I don't want put on 67 stone and come back a heffalump in June.

The gentle exercise wil continue and will get into the pool more. Diet will stay undercontrol which is quite easy as my urge to eat chocolate has gone. And I had put it down to the healthy eating and losing the cravings for sweets by not eating them.

hotterpotter · 18/09/2009 20:54

Oh Oops I am so for you. You have a free pass for, hmmm, let's say 12 months hen we want you whipping back into shape . Like you say too, hopefully we can support and encourage gentle healthfulness without biscuit overindulgence

dizzydixies · 19/09/2009 09:09

and VG switswoos count regardless of who they were from

StrictlySazz · 19/09/2009 14:34

Well done on the weight loss dizzy, any way counts in my book, especially when you are suffering . How is DaddyDizz doing with the diet/Xenical?

Been to the gym this morning - 15 mins bike and 15 mins powerplate focussing on my bingo wings as the swimming hasn't helped this wonderful feature of mine

hotterpotter · 19/09/2009 19:55

Well done Dizz . I have to say I agree with Sazz, who cares the reason, 'tis the result we're after

Am having a delicious bad bread day today . Fish finger sandwiches for lunch and I have been nibbling tiger bread with butter and eating maltesers. They're all air, right? I do not understand this destructive behaviour Still my jeans are loose

StrictlySazz · 19/09/2009 20:03

Air like that will blow out your hips Hots. Step away now

Not that i can talk as i have been to a kiddies party, drunk wine and eaten crisps and just had 2 portions of lamb curry. In my defence it was homemade so not too bad at all

hotterpotter · 19/09/2009 20:10

When we were in full-on dosser lifestyle mode we used to make our own wine and beer. We used to enjoy it but in hindsight it tasted like shit . Although actually I do remember a particularly cheeky vintage made from Five Alive fruit juice which tasted a bit like sherry Now I am embarrassingly middle-aged I have a wine rack and a drinks cabinet and can be trusted to not just keep drinking until it is all gone. My youth my liver

StrictlySazz · 19/09/2009 20:18

My dad makes wine - it's an acquired taste

dizzydixies · 20/09/2009 08:01

thanks guys - am not sure how DH is doing other than I have to keep cleaning the toilet he has a weigh in on Wed (his birthday ) and the Dr warned him that if there isn't a weight loss then he won't get another script - you can only take the horse so far before they have to drink themselves

hots, say hi to my liver too - sounds like its down there with yours

hotterpotter · 20/09/2009 11:00

OK well yesterday was an utter write-off I am a food fool Will I ever learn?

Sunday sausage/egg/toast brekker scoffed now which will keep me going until teatime so it's back on the good wagon until 9pm Friday. I suppose when I started this I was being good Monday-Friday and stuffing my face at the weekends; it's not like I am eating cake every day (which I did used to do )...enough attempting to justify, thank goodness I have you guys to keep me on near the straight and narrow

Dizz I would also be about the toilet. Hope he finds it has been worth it at the doctors.

The Hotmama's missed Hots and Dizz today

dizzydixies · 20/09/2009 23:17

hots the fact the you HAVE changed from old habits is such a huge success - I commend myself regularly for thinking about food before I shovel any old thing in there now!! tis a huge change for me

strictly - trust me I'd rather have been where you were work was pants!!!

hotterpotter · 21/09/2009 07:04

I know what you mean Dizz, I was really thinking I was naughty as I shovelled the maltesers in seriously though, we had our tea before 5pm yesterday in a (vain) atempt to get the DC to bed for 7, and whereas I would have usually had toast or cereal later on, I just had a drink of water [virtuous]

2lb up on Friday which is not good but sooooo much less bad than it could have been.

Sazz I would have liked to come to Bath too, but as the meetup junkie HotMamas ambassador you will have to come to our meetup in Sheffield which we will be announcing very soon. Hopefully there will be a couple of part-time HotMamas there and you can whup their asses help them return to the fold

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 21/09/2009 08:52

Hots, i am 1lb up on Friday so hoping for some loss this week. Will try to be very good and hope that consistency pays off. Was saying to Oops and VG that this weekend i have finally got bored of it. I suppose since May that's not too bad, and i didn;t blow out or anything. Just a bit fed up of thinking what to eat all the time and having dilemmas when placed in front of a party table full of food. I guess i am not quite there on the 'this is my life of eating now' page

dizz do you think DH will put a big push on when he sees it working for you, especially if you do go down the Xenical route? DH finally decided he needed he needed to be good after 3.5 months of me dieting, so there is hope yet

BTW i am only the meetup junkie as i live most centrally of anyone

Right, off to drink water as this was severely lacking over the weekend

Oh and anyone else complete 4 x ExerSazz this week or was that just me?

hotterpotter · 21/09/2009 08:56

Miss! Miss! I done 5!
