mine to you've reminded me I really should be getting my hair appt booked however I have a night out [horror][meep] on the 25th Sept so think it will wait till then, I'll need all the help I can get [double meep]

hotterpotter · 01/09/2009 21:07

Dizzy there are one or two of us who weigh every day a couple of times a week It can be an encouragement if going down or a kick up the arse to neck water if no progress (or the hideous shame which awaits me tomorrow )

We have had such a lovely time with our friends, not eaten too much really, but drunk my own bodyweight in red wine [lush] We camped out in the garden the first night but too much wine, a cold tent next to a fecking wind chime, DS' first time ever not sleeping in his cot or my bed, some of the friends staying up chatting outside until 5.30 am, then up at 6.30 with my DC and everyone elses then not too much sleep the next night means I have been on a bit of a carb-fest today in an effort to remain conscious. Am running out of puff now so bedtime for me but I promise to be good for the rest of the week

Wicked, thanks Sazz - that's going in the family recipe book tomorrow

Rather and a little bit at the scales this morning - there is no way I have put on the number of pounds it is telling me I have .

Will be necking water today like nobody's business in an effort to flush all that evil bread out of my system. No swimming until Friday as my period's just arrived and don't want to be leaking in the pool Think I need a mooncup...

Forgot to say though, saw a couple of friends at the weekend who I hadn't seen for ages and they were all over me with my thinner body and new short hair. Was very nice . I think the difference for me now is that OK, I have ignored all the rules for a few days, but I will balance that with super-healthy eating for a few more and be fine again Like you Sazz I am never going back...

Should be working, bye

I had a cup of water every time I went to make a cup of tea, which was often [yawn] so should have flushed some of it out. Still very tired, can't party like I used to. Trying to conjure the energy to have a go on my bike tonight but all I want to do is sleeeeep.

Stupid online shop I ordered the wax from has just cancelled my order after a whole week with no explanation I am getting very hairy...

Sazz I hope your hair looks swishy and fab Are you going back to work two days or three? Is there scope for exercise at work? I know what you mean about fitting it all in, I seem to have time for nothing now I am back at work

Welcome back on the wagon, hotster.

Sazz you are disappointed with your hair, I am always like that, but wait till you knock colleagues' socks off with the new you, you will feel fantastic. And your hair is probably actually lovely.

Corblimey on waiting a week for an online shop and them cancelling it! Lousers. Am wrecked but can't go to bed yet till have some work done so have to sign off, have not even had chance to post on main thread.

Oh - we had hot and sour shreddy chicken and everyone loved it! Merci .

Hi All

Sazzles - very of your suit fitting - I found a pair of lovely almost new size 14 jeans in my cupboard yesterday and they do fit but the muffintop could shade a small army from the rain!

Tomorrow DD is off to the creche and I am gyming. MIL came over all nose out of jopint when I told her DD was going - she said 'Why didn't you ask me I would have her?' so i replied that I needed regular reliable childcare and she stomped off to complain to DH who kindly said it was my decision

SO gym tomorrow and she is booked in for 2 more sessions next week and going to ask my mum to cover my PT trip next week. DH has agreed to have DH early ne morning so I can get in an early (7.30am) swim.

Roast pork here with loads of steamed veg and a single roast potato and parsnip.

at MIL Oops I hope you 'd her good and proper. Sounds like you will be having a lovely healthy week next week

Sazz also at size 14, but for you. Well-fitting clothes make you feel good whatever the size, but especially when they are smaller than you are used to. I have bought my first new pants since I was pregnant with DS , size 16 for those too so all the saggy grey old ones are going in the bin

VG hope you are feeling a bit perkier today It's hard doing this when you're knackered isn't it, the temptation for carbs can be very strong and the desire for exercise non-existent. Have overcome my tiredness today and forced myself to do 30 minutes on the exercise bike. I'm buzzing now but no sure if I will be able to get to sleep in half an hour which is what I need to do as under the exercise high I am pooped.

Not looking too good for tomorrow, might be a pound up on last week unless there is an overnight miracle. Downing water like a fool in one last push Have only managed one proper 30 minutes of exercise so far this week, not counting carting DS round in the sling for a couple of hour-long walks as only my back got sweaty then. Will go swimming tomorrow then try and do two more bikes at the weekend. No parties or anything this weekend so maybe I will do better next week...

0.5lb up this week, don't know whether to be or just relieved because it was looking much worse than that on Wednesday morning. Oh well, healthy week ahead with plenty of exercise; let's see what another 7 days can do.

Good luck everyone

According to Wiifit I am a whole stone heavier I think it might have an error. I will check at gym today although not hoping for much loss.

HP - not bad after last weekend's festivities

dizzydixies · 04/09/2009 08:42

3lbs off

school run - well not literally, more like school paddle - still fecking raining

cyteen · 04/09/2009 10:18

I forgot to weigh this morning, not expecting good news though

Sazz in answer to your earlier question, yes I'd still like to lose another stone. I used to be 8-8.5 stone which I now think was actually too thin but suited teenage/20s me; these days I'd be over the moon to be a toned 9st.

LOL Oops you must have eaten the whole birthday cake! I second Sazz, you can get decent electronic scales in Argos for only £20 - no more peering at the display wondering what it says, no more of that annoying chatter on the Wii hope you got a better result at the gym.

Dizzy and Sazz well done on the 3lb each will have to try harder next week...

Cyteen you forgot Anyway birthday weeks don't count, not in my book (which is why Sazz is now 1/2 stone ahead of me )

VG hope you got a good result today

Have been very good today and had another 40-minute swim, just got to keep it up for another six days. Going to try waxing in a minute, legs have got so hairy I reckin there's at least 1/4lb of hair to come off Does wine and waxing mix though? I'll tell you tomorrow (from casualty)...

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 04/09/2009 21:23

have thought about your suggestions re the scales but frankly I need the graph on the wii it its going up then I know I'm in trouble !!!

oopsacoconut · 04/09/2009 21:53

Well I have done the gym thing - 10 mins on the cross trainer, 10mins on the running walking machine and 15 mins of weights and 3 mins on the wobbly machine.

I am like Dizzy and like the graph but I have discovered to my sadness today that it LIES BIG TIME about your real weight - it is about 2kg/4lbs out I have lost weight onceI reset it 4lbs but when weighed on the official gym scales I discovered that it was sadly wrong. Will weigh at the gym and on wii and adjust accordingly wii to get a graph and gym for accuracy.

BUT DD and I had waggamamas for lunch I had steamed noodles not fried and veggies.
