I do like grapefruit and actually before we went away I was making myself have it in the mornings, perhaps I will go back to that, and the veg soup is a perfect idea too. I quite like curried parsnip soup.

Re. creche etc I think we will have to have a look. It's the same gym I've been in for years but when I first went there ds1 was beyond creche years and went to a sort of play place which he quite liked. We were at a funday there the other day and the toddler room caught my eye, a nice open room with lots of toys and so on, I think if the people were nice I would be ok to leave ds2 there for a short time. We are thinking of trying to find someone to come to the house to look after ds2 maybe one day or two mornings a week so I can do some work ... for me to be considering that was a big move forward and if I am ready for that I think I could be ready for leaving ds2 at the gym... not sure if dp will be but if he's not I will have no issue with it, I'd not like him to be pressurising me to leave ds2 somewhere.

You are a thoughtful old soul Sazzles.

OK from Monday morning ds1 is back at school & I can have my days more to myself.

So:

  1. grapefruit brekker
  2. plan lunches (poss soup / salad) and have them
  3. carry on re. low carb, low fat suppers
  4. organise more exercise - proper sweaty stuff. Dogwalking I think is too standard to be counted, even if with pram etc. Must run.

Sazz I'd say don't reduce them NOT because you will have larger fingers again but because you will probably have even slimmer fingers and will need them down a size again. So get them reduced in December unless you are actually in danger of them dropping off.

Can't you get some sort of plasticky thing to put on your rings when your fingers get too skinny? I would agree with VG that you may be better to wait as long as you possibly can. My rings too getting very slack, in fact I experimented last night and managed to shake them off (was drunk, one or two of you might remember ), couldn't find my wedding ring for a while! I am hoping to lose my £5.95 engagement ring so that will force DH to buy me a real dimond one

VG your new eating plan sounds like an excellent idea . Hope DP is happy for you to leave DS in the creche so you can get all sweaty

Been pretty good today, apart from a few biscuits this morning. No crisps last night and none tonight either so that has saved me at least 1000 calories in the last 24 hours

If you have a friendly jeweller on hand then go for it!

We are out all day tomorrow at adventure / fun park thing so barbecue but am bringing half the food, so plenty of good stuff for self. Hope you all have good days, thanks for all your kind / sensible words & general good sense, I feel like the absolute laggard of the thread BUT dp did say to me tonight I looked as if I had lost weight so for that though the old dear was probably lying through his teeth .

Congratulations Sazzles that is a fantastic achievement

I'm going AWOL until Tuesday afternoon, staying over at our friends in York for a couple of nights. Will do my best to be sensible but there will be 14 of us and copious alcohol. You know what I am like when confronted with peer pressure

I will exercise until I pop when we get back and hope to undo some of the damage

See you all soon

There's a smile there for every pound you've kissed goodbye to! Well done - I am so so pleased for you and it is WELL deserved. Good for you and I hope you LOVE your sexy new shape.

Have fun hots, but don't fall too far off the wagon .

I'm being PERFECT this week.

There'll be no perfection here as tomorrow is my little love's 1st birthday so it will be cake galore and no doubt the odd glass of vino collapso here and there too. But I shall endeavour to be mildly sensible. Doing roast chicken for tea so will try and make my plate light on the spuds, heavy on the veg...

oopsacoconut · 31/08/2009 20:06

Hi All

CONGRATULATIONS SAZZLES - You are 1/2 the person you were when I first met you

Back post party - I didn't really eat that much either There werre too many people to chat to and DD needed sorting too so I missed most of the food I had made except a few choc covered strawberries. We had a lovely dinner with

We went backberrying and elderberrying today and walked for miles some with DD on my back.

Ooh how lovely to be binning stuff you'll never fit into again for the right reasons! Excellent work.

I have fulfilled ExerSazz with 17 mile walk, 2hour dogwalks (well every day really) and 1*35 min run, and have done extra walking and cycling too. However as mentioned before feeling dogwalking ought not to qualify. Have not sorted gym / creche due to lack of time to discuss with dp (ships in the night).
