Well done on the exercise Sazz, very impressive Good luck with the hen weekend too, hopefully the bride will be worrying about fitting into her dress so there won't be toooo much temptation? Ah, feck it, if we can have these blow-outs and great parties and still maintain/go up a tiny bit then that's brill and time for cutting back once the party is over. Obviously this plan only works when you don't have parties every weekend. This is OK for me as most of my friends live inside the computer

VG sorry I don't know what came over me, of course I remember your post-holiday weigh because it was amazingly impressive! And another 2lb off this week, well done I also agree about looking for positives rather than negatives - for example I am amazed and delighted to be able to feel my ribs now without poking, and to see my collar bone. Still a long way to go but I am never going to be that fat again

Enjoy the hen Sazz! Hopefully it's in a lush hotel with a fab pool and gym and bar! Ooh, you can call your fitness dvd ExerSazz.

Hmm I really want kedgeree but am going to have a scrambled egg & salad instead.

Great news on -2lbs cyteen!

hotterpotter · 21/08/2009 20:50

Have had chicken curry for tea, but only had half normal amount of rice. I even managed to do up the H&M size 16 skirt but the muffin top effect was more like a massive mushroom Still, it is progress

VG scrambled egg with salad sounds a bit weird, hope it was yummy

Cyteen fab news on the 2lb. You deserve your wine tonight Speaking of which, nearly time to crack it open here. Mmmmm wine

Well last night was a baddie I atre ice cream and LOTS of it. I will do my best to be good today. Please no lashes Sazzles

cyteen · 22/08/2009 08:39

I think you get a free pass this time oops

VintageGardenia · 22/08/2009 11:01

Ice cream allowed, practically prescribed.

Salad & scrambled egg I know it's weird (I kept singing the Frasier theme tune in my head) but it was ok. A friend with hens had given us a dozen gorgeous eggs so the scramblers were without butter / milk etc and were still yummy. Tiny bit fed up with green salad, actually, something I never thought I'd say.

Tennis today & big dog walk.

Sounds like you had a good time Sazz, hang the calories, but I bet you didn't really have too many extra, esp if no sweet stuff and plenty of exercise. How many weeks to the wedding? You did say before but I have forgotten .

Oops don't be silly about he ice cream - of course you can be let off in such dreadful circumstances . Did it make you feel better though? That's something I think I am finally managing to break - the attempt to use food to make myself feel better. No luck on the booze as a crutch though

VG tennis [impressed] Hope you won, and enjoyed your walk too!

Had a lovely weekend, no crisps, no cake, 1 slice of bread (and two chocolate biscuits) was quite proud of myself but came a little bit undone at a friend's barbecue yesterday afternoon . Mucho wine, sausages, potato salad, and jelly and icecream but only one bread roll so some progress Still we had a really lovely time, got a bit sunburnt and the DC had he excitement of two train journeys.

Back on the wagon again. Up 2lb on Friday, not sure how, thought too much booze dehydrated you in which case once I have had a few cups of tea I will be 3lb up [grrr]

Oooh I forgot about ExerSazz I love it! You can't have had a total blowout if you were not having puds, and you kept your exercise up no matter how many Seabreezes and vintage ports you downed. And I bet you had a blast. How long have you got for the corset 4lb - I bet you can do it.

hots well done on no crisps, that's one of your things isn't it - I have discovered the antidote to eating while you have your wine or watch tv or whatever - it's KNITTING. I am knitting ds2 a hat and if you knit while watching tv it doesn't even occur to you to have a snack.

Tennis was lovely! Great way to exercise, not like blardy running at all, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

I had quite a carby weekend, bugger it all, and also had cheese for the first time in ages, not too much but still... anyway I have a busy week this week (always helps to distract) and motivation is high so let's push on. I am going to a few things next month I'd like to look ok for so down, down, down.

Mornign all

BAck on the wagon here - weighed this morning and am 1lb down Must be because I didn't eat much more than Ice cream and a chinese takeaway all weekend.

HP - no ice crewam didn't make me feel any better but making the huge bowls with cruched oreos, homemade choc/toffee sauce was theraputic. Poor oreos and choc got hit VERY hard with a rolling pin! I have to say even on a normal weekend I couldn't have said no to jelly and icecream.

VG - well done with your tennis, I don't have the co-ordination for it.

Shake for brekkie, salad with quiche (no base) for lunch then for dinner

cyteen · 24/08/2009 11:32

I am so hungry

Had a fairly silly weekend, but not too bad - was helped by DP buying the most revolting wine ever last night, so bad he poured the rest of it down the sink I didn't think such a thing existed! So it's back on the wagon for me too: no booze, no snacks other than fruit/veg, nice healthy options.

Having said that, I had peanut butter on toast for breakfast because the bread needed using up, and we have got some v sat fat-tastic burgers for tea as DP got them out of the freezer last night. So I'll do a big spinachy salad to go with them.

What do you mean, the first 30 mins is the only one that counts?? Have I got to get my exerSazz done by 6.30 am or it's drop & give me 20??

OK I'm in.

Are you a proper sergeant major or does dog-walking count?

VintageGardenia · 24/08/2009 13:57

Cos have walked dogs & pushed pram over rocky terrain for almost hour today already.

hotterpotter · 24/08/2009 14:26

OK I'm in. OK for 3 days as swimming/traipsing to work will take at least 30 minutes. Just need to actually move on my days off...

I'm game Shall also be walking to and from work at my usual clip 3 days this week, plus yoga on Thursday, and I've already told DP I want to do another yoga class on Sunday. Will see what else I can do...

oopsacoconut · 24/08/2009 20:27

I'm game for it too - need more walking time too. 1 session with Paul on Thursday then walking too and from babycafe and 1 walk to DH office should do it.

I wish (very kind) people would stop buying me chocolate and ice cream to make me feel better. I am not being ungrateful but the word 'I'm not eating that' is never heard!

Ooh, just remembered I'm taking DS to a family fun day on Saturday so that'll be another 30 minutes of fast clip walking each way

hotterpotter · 24/08/2009 22:28

God I am so receptive to peer pressure it's a wonder I didn't shoplift at school still all in a good cause as I have removed the huge pile of clothes off the exercise bike today and done 30 minutes on it for the first time in kin years quite a while
