I guess you are usually so good that even eating up to your normal burn level must seem like gorging. Remeber your wailing after the babrecue the other week, you only went 200 cals over, LOL! Good news about the cross trainer, think I might try and do 2 or 3 goes on the bike per week. Just need some batteries so I can see how far I'm going

Going to Leeds to buy shoes and have a cuppa with my Grandma. There will be a bit of cake involved but haven't had any since last Monday and already burnt off half the calories on the bike last night

am here, am doing crap BUT started again yesterday and have appt with GP this afternoon

weighed in yesterday and did reasonably well water/food wise - am blaming shitey stress of work and I also got my period yesterday which explains a LOT

will let you know how I get on at GP & on a more positive note DH has decided that he too is in need of a kick up the backside so we're formulating a plan I am planning some walking before the weather gets too back - I think he is planning excercise of a more 'indoors' nature

tis why am popping in to see her today, had to phone for an appt for DD2 (spotty bum and dopey ears apparently bless her) and when the receptionist offered up a time with my fav GP I took a chance and asked for a double slot - nearly died when I got it but it must have been an omen

well done you on all that excercise, have to admit I'm looking forward to when the girls start at the CM next week so I can have some free time - think my first slot is booked for a sleep though

dizzydixies · 25/08/2009 13:54

right, am not allowed Xenical as still feeding Dylan but DH has some and she says I can have some when bfing all done.

managed to go to a cafe with DH had coffee, DD2 had a chocolate bun and I had a water

mushroom soup for lunch too

off to get Dylan her jabs now

LOL, no chance but I did have a blueberry muffin rather than double-choc so that is sort of a compromise anyway I have burned it all off traipsing round Leeds with DS mainly in the sling

Well done Dizz on the water, to Sazz on the exercise. Will be on the bike here too later, 'tis truly amazing what all this support and encouragement and threats of a whipping is achieving

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 25/08/2009 16:29

Sazz, he wants to start it now and I encouraged him fully because he starts back at work on Sun so we'd rather know if there are any side effects before he is on duty

roast chicken and salad for tea here but I have been trying a new recipe so will admit to quality control in the form of an apple/sultana and oat muffin

cyteen · 25/08/2009 19:51

Have walked all over town at furious speed this pm. Hopefully it will counteract the wine I'm drinking right now. I make no apologies but can note that I've eaten reasonably well today.

VintageGardenia · 26/08/2009 08:05

Roast chicken and salad yum even though is only 7:58 am, might do that tonight.

Cycled yesterday (ds1 went alone to soccer and I cycled up to collect him), was only a couple of miles each way but I did nearly an hour with dogs/pram too.

Only 2 days left to weigh-in and on my sneaky preview this morning there is no change so am upping water intake today I think as can't think of anything else to do.

dizzy good luck to mrdizzy.

hotterpotter · 26/08/2009 10:31

VG I find that my weight drops off (when it does) on Wednesday and Thursday as I am at work and away from the temptations of home, plus drinking loads of tea to alleviate the boredom... here's hoping you have a similar drop in time for Friday

Also drooling here at the thought of roast chicken, Dizzy, mmmm. It's lazy fish & chips night here, but oven baked so not naughty plus a huge pile of carrots and home grown runner beans and butter

Cyteen hope you are feeling a bit better today

My sneaky weigh looks promising for Friday , did another 30 mins on the bike last night and off swimming today. Said to DH how funny it was that I was being 'encouraged' into all this activity by a load of women I've only met once, if at all. He said, well fuck 'em don't think he has quite got the idea of our support thread he'll be sorry anyway when I get to size 10 and then trade him in for a younger model

more water in this morning and MrDizz on the wiifit this morning bless him - he had planned a bike ride but weather is not permitting so good for him - nothing like avoiding having to do college work to encourage you to excercise

hotterpotter · 26/08/2009 13:32

36 lengths in 40 minutes so have done 3 out of 4 of my exercise this week already also managed to avoid too much embarrassment from the fact a (male) colleague was in there too . Have eaten my salad with lovely sheepy goaty feta cheese but am still hungry and have already eaten all my snack apples Need to keep away from the biscuit tin...

Dizzy have you had a go on the Wii fit? I quite like the step one; the hula-hooping is a killer. Had a go on a real hula hoop on Sunday and it is a lot harder than I remember. Despite my ample hips and lard arse the stupid hoop just wouldn't hula

Sazz for some reason rabbit curry just sounds, well, odd, like VG's scrambly eggs and salad. Hope it's delicious

An hour's worth of brisk schlepping around town with DP looking at wedding venues Can I multitask or what?

hotterpotter · 26/08/2009 14:13

Well done Cyteen . Have you seen anywhere that might fit the bill?

On the continuing quest for Hot Mama-dom I am contemplating having a go at leg waxing . There is no way I can justify paying salon prices so, do any of you do it? Which kind would you recommend. The hotter legs are currently a little hairy like a truckers so pass on your tips quick smart or I will not be able to stop myself shaving them!

OP posts:
cyteen · 26/08/2009 14:32

Oh yes We're going to wrangle over the details tonight.

Can't advise on the waxing, sorry, I'm strictly a shaving kinda gal (not that kind, before anyone asks).

hotterpotter · 26/08/2009 14:37

Did that kind of shaving once as a teenager . Never ever again, the regrowth was rather itchy

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 26/08/2009 15:24

hots sorry but I'm a strictly shave below the knee and immac/veet once in a blue moon upper legs - bikini I get waxed

in answer no I didn't have time to do the wiifit - once I'd finished my work it was 11:40 and time to collect DD2 - have a parent council meeting later but will see how I feel when I come home

done ok today, brown baguette with chicken/salad & peppers - grabbed on the go inbetween all the lunatic running about that today has brought!

cyteen links to venues please!!

Rabbit is good stuff - free range, low fat and CHEAP. Impressed with MrSazz's hunter gatherer tendencies
