I got the password through in my "card" from my consultant today (postal) - what is the password for ? I'm confused !
Doesn't take much.

ConnieComplaint · 24/05/2009 22:22

Woohoo way to go Mama!!!!!!!!!!! (echo from elsewhere perhance?)

Herb, the password is for when you go to

www.slimmingworld.com/lifelineonline

They ask you for your email etc & a group password...that's what you got in the post.

You can track your weightloss, look up syns value & play games, get recipes..... it's a leg of the SW site.

PrimroseHall · 24/05/2009 23:14

MamaG, I started a thread for you here but then thought that you probably won't see it.

Hi everyone else. I'm starting SWOnline on Tuesday and have just joined the Sparkly Place linked to above.

It's my first attempt at this and I'm not sure how to get started. I'm not that impressed with SWO website, no forum so it's lacking in real life tips, I think.

Does anyone have any ideas for free breakfasts, other than fruit or bacon and eggs? Hmm, that's probably a stupid question as there doesn't appear to be an alternative unless you use synns or HEs.

Another question if that's ok? I'm doing Extra Easy, so main bulk of meals should be a doddle, but what can I have to add a bit of flavour? I'll probably be having pasta/potatoes and chicken/fish for evening meals most of the time, but need some kind of sauce to make it more edible. Any suggestions for easy/ready made low synn marinades/dressings?

Sure I'll have more questions as soon as I actually start.

Current weight is 13st 4lb. Target weight is 9st 7lb approx.

Well done to everyone maintaining/losing weight on here.

fuzzypeach · 24/05/2009 23:24

Thanks for posting the password, I have been racking my brain trying to remember it!

ProfYaffle · 25/05/2009 12:24

woke up with a churning stomach at midnight last night, got up and promptly vommed everywhere. Haven't eaten yet today, feel terrible but haven't been sick again. Do you know what my main thought is? "I'd better lose more than a sodding pound this week!"

ConnieComplaint · 25/05/2009 12:33

LMAO:..... I read that you vommed & thought "lucky bitch...she'll have lost this weight"

Last week I had the runs & was disappointed at 'only' losing 1lb!!

I have a day off work today so will have to get stuck into the housework soon!!

DH cooking bacon, eggs & beans for breakfast!! (suppose it's brunch now really...) I have been busy this morning sorting out clothes to take on hols next week & I'm thrilled to have been able to fit in a pair of denim shorts which were too tight last year!!!!

ProfYaffle · 25/05/2009 12:36

LOl! Great minds hey? I am so staying away from the chicken in a can thread

Good news about the shorts, I have tons of stuff I can't wait to get back into.

jenk1 · 25/05/2009 14:34

having a day off today,we went to the park and took a picnic and ive had a cornetto and we are having fish and chips for tea as its too hot to cook!!!!

not to worry though, ive been good all week and a flexible syn day here and there never hurt anyone!!!

prof sorry you are ill, BUT i did lose 5 pounds with a throat infection!!!!

ConnieComplaint · 25/05/2009 15:44

Sunny? Picnic? too hot to cook?????

OMG!!

It's absolutely pouring it down here!! I am watching the rain bounce off the roof of my car!!

JennyPenny22 · 25/05/2009 16:11

Lovely and sunny here . Been out playing with DD1 in the garden. She won't eat any warm food!

Did you all know that mini milks are only 1.5 syns? Thought you might like to know as it is hot for some of us! Think its brilliant and have ordered 2 boxes in my online shop!

loobyt · 25/05/2009 19:18

Hello, can I please join? Once again trying SW. Have done 3 days so far and going well, at least I hope it is! I'm doing green days as I find green lunches easier to do, Jacket pots, beans, stir frys etc... Fingers crossed for weigh in!

ProfYaffle · 25/05/2009 19:51

It's been boiling hot here too, although it's raining now so I'm pleased I didn't bother watering the plants.

I'm feeling a bit better, slept most of the afternoon (thank goodness it's a bank holiday and dh is here to look after the dc) and just ate a slice of toast so feeling less wobbly.

Welcome Looby

ConnieComplaint · 25/05/2009 20:10

at Jenk, Jenny & Prof having sun

I'm off to France next week & at the minute it's pouring it down over there too!!!

Hiya Loobyt Welcome

I've had not too bad a day today (though that mod at the sparkly place might slap my hands...she always finds something!)

I'd kill for a magnum ice cream I saw advertised on the telly, there were nuts in it & huge lumps of honey..... Mmmm

Snorris · 25/05/2009 20:10

Hi everyone, 'old' and new . I lost 2lb last week, am I allowed to say I felt a bit disappointed it wasn't more? I felt I really stuck to it (apart from 2 flexi days ). I have been doing mostly EE so matbe that's why?
This week hasn't been so good, my meals have been ok, it's the snacks in between!!! Still I rode both ponies yesterday and today so hopefully the worst will be that I maintain (WI wed).

Snorris · 25/05/2009 20:13

I've had sun here too . It rained first thing though.

ProfYaffle · 25/05/2009 20:21

Ooh Connie - your comment about slapped hands went right through me! That's why I don't have a food diary on there, the thought of someone approving/disapproving what I'm eating makes me very annoyed indeed but then I have ishoos with food and control.

Snorris! You've lost 2lb, had 2 flexi days and you're disappointed??!! What on earth for? Get a grip young lady - you've done good!

ConnieComplaint · 25/05/2009 20:48

Yay Snorris!!! If I had two flexi days & still lost 2lb, I'd be building two flexi days into my week, every week!!! Brilliant!

Prof - I find it does help me to write down what I eat, often I eat things then 'forget' what syns I had - so then I eat more

I've just had a lovely bowl of chopped fruit with fromage frais...& again I dunno if that's free or not!!

ConnieComplaint · 25/05/2009 20:50

Ooh, I just looked it up in my food directory & it is free!

Asda Good For You Fromage Frais, less that 1% fat, Natural... FREE on both days cool

TitsalinaBumsquash · 25/05/2009 22:34

Hello all

I have WI tommorrow, i m not holding out much hope tbh. I have had a week where i have just felt so grazy (that is now a word btw) i haven't had anything naughty but its just the sheer amount i am eating thats the problem!

I have had a fair amount of excersise though, some really tough last rehersals for our play on Fri and Sat, so alot of running about and heavy lifting.
Also been chasing people for raffle prizes not with much like i might add!

I am struggling more on this plan than i did last time i did it and i can't think why.?!

MamaG · 25/05/2009 23:02

Evening all

Well, the bastards in teh sparkly place haven't given me a sparkly 1/2 stone thing

I might call them all fatties and leave

1/2 stone hunni

I'll make my own

OP posts:
ProfYaffle · 26/05/2009 06:29

Connie - I do write down what I eat but don't show it to anyone! I also obsessively read the rule book so I've a pretty good idea of what's allowed.

How do you get those half stone things MamaG? Do you have to have a weigh in diary on there?

JennyPenny22 · 26/05/2009 08:22

Interesting what you say about the food diarys. I don't do one at all at the moment but think I do need to start doing one, to record syns etc. I think I am going to start on on the sparkly place and see how I go. If it annoys me too much, I wil find another way. I just know that if it is just a pen and paper, I won't do it!

Can anybody tell me how much skimmed milk you can have as a HE? I wasn't measuring it while I was pregnant, but that was as I was obviously pregnant and more wanted to eat healthily/get the hang of the plan a bit.

I am annoyed I didn't check out my online asda shop properly, so thought I was getting a massive shop today but I am not! I have a jacket potato I can have for lunch (although no cheese!!) and I think I am going to have to have a home made ready meal from the freezer for dinner. Hard because I have ordered some low syn treats with my shopping as I really crave chocolate, but untill then, I am pretty much stuck with nothing :-(

Feel exhusted today - I wondered if it could be because of a sudden drop in sugar intake now I started SW? I was eating a fair bit of chocolate and stuff before and started SW yesterday? I am always tired, but finding it hard to keep my eyes open!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 26/05/2009 09:27

Jenny when i started SW i went from filling up on crisps/chocolate/biscuits and ice cream to the plan and for the first few days i struggled and felt pretty naff, i got spotty, my hair got greasy and i was tired and irritable and it wasn't even time of the month! I asked my GP whilst at a routine visit and she said it was probably the toxins from all the crap food coming out my system.

Try dirnking lots of water to speed the process up and you should feel better again soon.

I had a photo taken yeaterday for the paper inmy costume, i already look better than i did in that photo from the begining of last month that spurred my wieght loss.
Its funny becuase i look like some royal, posh princess, i have a mid claf wrap around dress, pearl earings and neckace, a huge blue ribbon in my imaculate hair amd a sash and a little tiara on, its the most polished i have ever looked!
