DS is fine - going ut his ead with boredom, he has to miss school for 2 weeks untill his Gripper Needle comes out his chest.

I have Fibromyalga amongst other things that is flaring up big style which is why i feel like shite.

On the plus side i did read a good book last night its called Bright Young Things a good read but it finished just as it was really getting good.

ProfYaffle · 10/06/2009 19:05

Gripper needle? that sounds grim. I don't know much about fibromyalga but hope you're feeling better soon.

Tell us about your takeaway in detail so we can enjoy it vicariously!

JennyPenny22 · 10/06/2009 19:34

Soo tired tonight. I am not even sure i want to eat any dinner. But I know if I don't then I will end up picking on junk. I am on my period which might be why? First one since getting pregnant. Does being due on effect weight loss at all does anybody know?

I am meant to be having the coil fitted on monday, but was reading last night about how it makes a lot of women gain weight! I am a bit worried now, I need to loose this weight before my holiday in september, and I don't want to be putting in all this effort for nothing!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 10/06/2009 23:15

Gripper Needle just goes through the skin into the little bung (portacath) he has fitted just next to his armpit in his chest, which is then connected to a major vien into his chest and up into his neck, (it does sound very grim) but he has to have regular iv antibiotics and his little viens can't handle normal lines so aftera lot of tears we got the portacath fittes and its fab! (well as fab as it can be!) no more tears and no more pain for my young man.

I didn't have a take away in the end i couldn't even be bothered to eat i had a nap and then had a MugShot cup noddle thingy from the cupboard.
Im off to bed now, dp says i can have a lie in tommorrow, i shall take the boys out somewhere i think but nowhere to far, i have the worlds most myseterious car that is knackered but no mechanic can find out why! So annoying!

Jenny - Being on your Period can make you retain water which can hinder your wieght loss but only sometimes, its only for a week! I have never had a problem wieght loss wise at my time of the month, I was going to have a coil but i have had so much trouble with contraceptives in my time i feel safer with Condoms!

Back on track for me tommorrow.

Off to bed with a good book and a snoooooozzzzzzeeeee!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 11/06/2009 09:05

Anyone got this weeks Password?

I called my SW Consultant, she gave me a pardon for not being at WI on Tuesday where i was in the hospital, she knows my scales are pretty accurate so told me to wiegh at home and she would note it down, and guess what????? ANOTHER 2LB OFF!!!!!!! HALF STONE AWARD!

Snorris · 11/06/2009 10:01

Hiya! Back again after a little rest

Well done TB, password is parsnip .

Well, after maintaining for 2 weeks I managed to lose 3 lbs this week (and get my 2 stone award ) Not quite sure how, I haven't been following it 100% but on the other hand I haven't been going overboard. I've been eating less pasta & potatoes etc too so that could be the answer. I've also made my main meals from recipes in recent SW mags.

TitsalinaBumsquash · 11/06/2009 13:07

Way to go Snorris

I am doing great today, i feel so much better after a good sleep.

I have had,

Breakfast - 2 Wheatabix (HB) with Raspberries/Strawberries and Apricots and Skimmed Milk (HA)

Lunch - Smoked Mackrel (HB) with a Rainbow Salad and an Apple.

Im going to make a Chickpea and Quorn Curry and Rice for Dinner.

ProfYaffle · 11/06/2009 14:03

Oh, bless your ds Tits. I hope he's fully healthy soon, long term illness is incredibl draining. Congratulations both you and Snorris on your weight loss.

I weighed myself this morning which is a bit of a cheat as it should be tomorrow but I've lost another 1lb, can't see me miraculously losing any more before tomorrow, especially as we're having a posh meal out tonight.

ConnieComplaint · 11/06/2009 23:10

Hello girls

Did ya miss me? Been off for a week on me hols, it wasn't a total washout...only almost!

It was nice on Wed, Thur & Fri, then rained from Saturday onwards!! The kids enjoyed Disney anyway, rain or not!

I was home yesterday so made it to my weigh-in last night.. said to the consultant, If i've under 5lb on I'll be happy... I had 1,5lb on! I have never been so happy to gain in my life!

I did take rice & pasta with me, as well as my Fry Light, but it wasn't the food that gained the weight.. was deffo the alcohol!!!!

Back to the food diary today though.........

ConnieComplaint · 11/06/2009 23:11

Hope DS is back in fighting form soon Charlee, it's horrible when they're ill.

ProfYaffle · 12/06/2009 06:01

Hello CC! Glad you had a nice time, 1.5lbs is fab. I probably put that on last night after our meal.

Was dd1's first sports day so dh took the day off work and we booked outselves into the local posh restaurant for tea (they've recently started opening at tea time for families) Weather was appalling and sports day got cancelled but we went for tea anyway. 3 courses plus wine, liquers and hand made chocolates. It was lovely though, def worth it

This weekend we're staying with the pil which means zero food control so goodness knows what I'll weigh this time next week.

ProfYaffle · 12/06/2009 20:39

Hello!

Lordy it's quiet in here

Rialentless · 13/06/2009 14:06

well done on the losses.

Am seriously with myself. We had friends over for a BBQ last night, and I was almost angelic with food, just an extra bread roll and a few crisps, but I ended up having far too much to drink (so feel like poo too).

Another red day today, and probably tomorrow too as we're hoping to barbecue again tonight, and tomorrow my DS is playing tennis in teh back of beyojd so we'll be picnicing.

Think I will not buy wine for a bit and have beer instead - the fizz fills me up quicker!

Had baby new potatoes roasted in harissa again last night. Yum.

TitsalinaBumsquash · 13/06/2009 22:32

Evening all.

I have been naughty this past few days, i have been picking. According to my scales after 2 days i have gained 4lbs im hoping this was becuase i am wearing heavy clothes and had my phone and wallet in them and all the food was havy in my stomach not that my wieght has shot up.

Tuesday is wiegh in day so i am going to be syn free untill then in hope of some damage control.

It always like this during my period, i eat like a blardt hourse all day.

I have been doing EE aswell so eating tons of meat and spuds together which is never a good combo for me.

I must wipe the slate clean and start a fresh tommorrow.

ProfYaffle · 14/06/2009 16:08

I've had a terrible weekend food wise, after our meal on Thursday we stayed with pil yesterday and today. Alcohol, cake, cheese, you name it, I ate it! I did do a 5k on Saturday morning (came 41st out of 44! But they're all club runners) so I'm hoping that's limited the damage a wee bit.

To make it worse, next weekend will be bad too as we have my parents coming to stay for a big party/carnival weekend, lots of v bad food on the agenda.

Rialentless · 14/06/2009 17:08

damned weekends!

ProfYaffle · 14/06/2009 18:43

Your baby roast potatoes with harissa sounds nice, how do you cook them?

Rialentless · 14/06/2009 21:38

par boil them for a bit then mix a bit of harissa (1-2 teaspoons) with a tiny bit of olive oil, drizzle over/mix up with potatoes and then roast. Yum. The recipe is really roasted root veg with harissa and served with cous cous, but I can't stand the texture. I did roast veg that way with chicken earlier in the week though.

Furball · 15/06/2009 06:54

3lbs off this week! not sure how, as the beginning of the week I had abit of a trough out with the biscuits etc etc etc

Thursday I ate a whole(more of less) large bag of Twigletts???

So not sure how I got away with it, but I'm not going to argue.

fuzzypeach · 15/06/2009 13:55

Hello, I'm back from my holiday in France, and absolutely embarrassingly 9lbs heavier!!!! I didnt actually think it was possible to put so much on in 2 weeks, but then I did eat a lot of bread, cheese, croissants and drink a fair amount of wine!!
Oh well, back to basics for me from now, especially as I am being a bridesmaid in 4 weeks and really need to lose loads by then so I don't look like a whale in my dress!!

Does anyone know the password for this week?

Thanks!

Furball · 15/06/2009 16:31

crikey fuzzy - that was some holiday!

Like you say the main thing is to jump straight back on, I always feel that a short term gain doesn't have time to stick to your bones and should come off quite easily.

fuzzypeach · 15/06/2009 23:53

furball my consultant says pretty much the same - she says its iike jelly - dont let it set!! I hope she is right!!

JamieJay · 16/06/2009 00:07

password is netball

TitsalinaBumsquash · 16/06/2009 09:37

Phew my scales are reading 10lb 13 again, so hopefully i have shifted that little blip in the week.

I have to get cooking and freezing this week, im having surgery on my dominant wrist and hand next week and DP can't cook for toffee so i shall plan ahead, doen't help that i tipped a Pan of boiling water all over hy hand last night, its all blistered and sore, im hoping they will still operate.

Wiegh in tonight hopefing for a maintain or a small loss, (one can dream!)

This thread is so quiet, are you all on luxury holidays or something?

Rialentless · 16/06/2009 09:54

phew! 1lb off.

goal for this week - stick closer to plan everyday (this way allowing for DS3s birthday on Friday, and his "party" and our WA on Sunday) and more exercise.
