New thread as old kept crashing mine and tits' PCs!

OP posts:

Hi all!!

Been having internet connection problems so been difficult to post. Luckily they seem to have resolved themselves before I lob the PC out of the window!! .

I've maintained for the 2nd week running . That was despite having a couple of days where I just had to eat and SW stuff wasn't doing the trick . Obviously riding 2 ponies a couple of times a week has helped counteract the excess . I really must knuckle down and get into it 100%, got a food shop being delivered today with ingredients for some recipes from the SW mags so that should help.

I don't know if I can keep up with the sparkly place ATM, the PC problems have thrown a spanner in the works with my food diary!!

Catch you all later!!

Just wondering if steak was free on red days?

Am craving red meat after weeks of green days so was going to griddle it without fat in the griddler pan!

Thanks

tullytwo · 04/06/2009 12:32

Also what syn value are steaks on a green day

Can only find grillsteaks and not sure if they are the same thing..

JennyPenny22 · 04/06/2009 12:50

Steak is free. I thought all meat was free? As long as you cut the fat off?

nikkid21 · 04/06/2009 14:38

steak is free on a red day as long as you cut all of the fat off. Don't know what it is on green but you could go extra easy if you haven't had too many he today.

Lilyloo · 04/06/2009 22:05

Prof am currently much more successful at pelleting the slugs thatn sticking to sw
Think i am still in holiday mode. Am fine until the kids go to bed then i can't keep myself out fo the kitchen

ilovechoclate · 04/06/2009 22:49

i was wondering if anyone knows how many syns is a kfc chicken piece? on a red day.

thanks

ProfYaffle · 05/06/2009 07:30

Lily - what you need is a child who wakes you up at 6am most mornings. I'm quite often asleep by 9pm, very little time for snacking!

I've lost 2lbs this week! Biggest loss in one week for ages. I've lost a total of 18lbs now, 17lbs to go.

ProfYaffle · 05/06/2009 09:19

Have been pondering my weight loss this week while on the school run and realised that I've done mostly red days and my heb's have all been ryvita, so no potatoes or bread. I've not done that deliberately but in the warm weather I've been eating a lot of ham salad and ryvita with cottage cheese. Think I'll continue the trend next week and see what happens

dazmum · 05/06/2009 09:43

ProfYaffle, I've also done more Red days this week, and like you cut out bread and potatoes, I've been having the Ryvita wholegrain crackerbreads, because you can have 6 as a HE! I lost 1.5 lbs, and I had a bad day on Sunday at a family party where I ate quiche and birthday cake , so I was delighted.

ilovechocolate, had a quick look on the SW website and there are lots of entries for KFC, here are a couple:
Kentucky Fried Chicken Popcorn Chicken, per serving 1 regular
Original 10½ Syns Green 16½ Syns

Kentucky Fried Chicken Original Chicken without Dressing per serving
Original 7 Syns Green 12½ Syns

Our consultant suggested that we try and eat 5 types of SS super speed foods before having any syns in a day, to get a real boost to losing, so thought I'd pass it on. I'm going to give it a try this week.

tullytwo · 05/06/2009 11:47

Did anyone see the new list of stock cubes etc on the home page of swimming world site-lots of them are free now that used to have a syn value-very handy for adding flavour to things.

ProfYaffle · 05/06/2009 12:15

6! Really? I thought it was 4, will go and check my book. Good news re stock cubes too, I'll have a look at the list.

ProfYaffle · 05/06/2009 12:24

Just checked the SW site and added Ryvita crackerbreads to my shopping list! I've been having the original Ryvita which are 2 on HEB as superspeed and 4 normal. I've been having 4 but splitting it 2 with lunch and 2 as a snack.

I'm also dusting off my boxes of oxo and Marigold bouillion (sp?) which have been languishing in the cupboard since I started SW.

JennyPenny22 · 05/06/2009 13:53

Can anybody tell me, why does everybody on SW eat mullerlights? I thought any low fat yogurt was free? But everybody seems obsessed with mullers?

tullytwo · 05/06/2009 16:50

I cant stand the muller light yogurts-had one and spent the night on the loo!

Now eat the M&S count on us ones which are much nicer.

dazmum · 05/06/2009 18:01

Oh, forgot to say, tried out the sweet potato and spinach curry in this months mag - gorgeous!
Think people eat muller lites because they are quite big! Are the count on us ones free too?

tullytwo · 05/06/2009 18:16

Yes they are dazmum and taste much creamier and not so sweetenery (Dont think thats a word but you know what I mean!)

dazmum · 05/06/2009 18:41

Thanks tullytwo, I'm getting tired of Mullers, must have eaten hundreds by now, so I'll get some M and S ones tomorrow!

TeaOneSugar · 05/06/2009 19:33

Would someone mind telling me what the slimming world group password is please, is it still "Boxing" or has it changed?

tullytwo · 05/06/2009 19:58

Is still boxing I think til next week

TeaOneSugar · 05/06/2009 21:03

Thanks

ShannaraTiger · 06/06/2009 10:17

Hi everyone, feeling very pleased lost 5.5 pounds in my first week. Also didn't read the book properly, thought it said 5 to 15 syns per week not per day.
Dc's are screaming must go., btw password for website is now 'strawberry'.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 18:18

I have lost another 2lb, last night making it 6lb in 10 days! Very pleased, but know it might not be as easy later on into the plan. Does anybody know when the weight loss generally starts to slow down?

I bought EA active today too for the Wii fit! So going to get some excercise on that tonight!

mumofdjandbabies · 06/06/2009 22:58

hi may I join in
have just signed up for sw!

ProfYaffle · 07/06/2009 06:59

Congratulations Shannara and Jenny, am very of your large losses though, Shannara, I suspect your mix up with the syns may have something to do with it!

Hello Mumofdj, welcome.

I've been for a couple of runs and my foot feels fine. Yesterday I incorporated a hill at the end, thought I was going to be sick by the time I got to the top!
