I've been lookinf around for the big day and you lot are a motivated bunch aren't you!

I'm not going on a frenzy before 2009, but know I won't make commitment beforehand.

Is there anyone else waiting for the new year?

If so, what method are you thinking of using?

Aw Banana, I'm so sorry. I know how it feels as I had an early miscarriage with my second too. Take care and look after yourself. You need a few days of being spoilt. xx.

Countess glad you're feeling better. Thats lovley about your ds. My 15 month old ds is a lazy bum shuffler and doesn't walk yet. He can take quite a few steps but prefers to scoot around on his bottom

Lisa good going on moving the x-trainer. It seems to work a lot better for you. I would love to have a x-trainer and the space for it! Well, I shouldn't complain really, my cheap gym is literally 5mins down the road.

Polly are you seeing the Rosemary Conley kick start through? How's it going?

Well done Tessie on your yoga. 75 mins is a helluva long time! I don't think I would have the patience for that!

I was good on the food front for most of the day today but had a bit more dinner than I should have but did go to the gym for 1/2 an hr afterwards. Am tired. I'm going to have a herbal tea then go to bed.

Wintersun - I wish my 17 month old was a lazy sod. In the past couple of days he has realised he can move his high chair, climb it and have a whole new world open to him. We have been up at approx 5.15am the past 4 mornings as he won't sleep longer than that and yesterday I found him once crawling on the kitchen table, standing up at the island playing with knives on the bread board and climbing on the backs of the sofas before standing up and throwing himself on the cushions. He is tiring me out, oh and he now walks up the stairs only using one hand as balance on the wall. God knows what today is going to bring

But worrying about playing with knives.

My 15 month old thinks its party time from 12 til 3 for the past 4 nights. I've been a zombie lately. I don't know how I've managed to get work done let alone get through the day.

The worst thing is that I find it almost impossible to diet when I'm so lacking in energy from lack of sleep.

Its totm for me today. That coupled with lack of sleep is not a good combination. I'm trying very hard not to be short tempered and not to eat a mountain of toast with butter and marmite.

There was a link in another thread yesterday to a no s diet. Did anyone check it out?

Its a good read. Its basically saying
NO
Snacking
Sweets
Seconds

except on days starting with S ie Saturday, Sunday and special days

It explains that thats how we're meant to eat and that snacking is a recent thing. The only reason why we need to count calories etc is because of the amount of snacking we do, we've lost all proportion of how much we're eating.

Wintersun, fraid the Rose Colney went out the window on day 1 this time, as i kept rebelling saying, well pmk would let me eat x so long as i was hungry... etc in this vein! it got a bit annoying, so i'm sticking to my slow but sure loss on pmk.

Lisa, you have your hands full! Sheesh! A little action man!

Off for another walk this pm. Just had a grilled mackerel, rocket and tomato lunch. i think i could eat it every day, it's just scrummy.

bleurgh to mackerel and smelliness.

I have not eaten properly today and have spent the day grazing. Darn totm and lack of sleep.
Not had too much junk and have made a lentil and veg stew for dinner.

Have had today;

porridge
1 slice toast
2 spoons of pasta
1 apple
some wotsits
1 digestive
some dry bran flakes
some monkey nuts

Good afternoon all

I did 50 mins on the XT this morning, in between getting on and off to sort ds2 out and have been for an hours walk this afternoon.

Pear, 1 toast and flora light
Oatso simple, 1/2 of ds2's cottage pie
Rosemary Conely Choc mousse
2 nimble toast and fl
Tea will be tuna salad
a few choc stars, bite of milky way
Will also be having a glass of fizz and by god I need it today.
Also had copious cups of tea.

It doesn't smell too bad Wintersun... honest... much, much nicer tasting and smelling than tinned Mackerel.

Just had a fight with dh too. Grr. Insensitive nagging husbands should never nag insensitively to their dws at totm.

Well done Lisa. I should do some exercise too but I think I'll just stay here and watch tv in a bit. I think I saw a trailer for Desparate Housewives. I'm just going to go off and find out if its on tonight. Hope it is!

hola ladies,

well just got on the scales before tomorrow and am 10 st 1. Am at myself for going over the 10 stone mark again, but know I am being incredibly rubbish. I think the only solution is to actually cook myself seprate things again as just controlling portion doesnt seem to be working.

Polly - I love mackerel in fact i actually love fish, unfort DH doesnt as we could eat loads more healthily alotgether really if he would come on board altho the boys seem to have taken after me here. We are well out of chicken pox territory now so am up for walking on Tuesday if you are around will drop you a message on FB.

Morning ladies.

Two weeks ago when I weighed I had gone back up to 11st 7lb after two bad weekends.

Well I am finally feeling better. DH's suggestion of bringing the XT inside has worked wonders. I have done some exercise every day and upped my calories.

Mon - 1740 Cals - 40mins XT
Tue - 1420 Cals - 20mins XT
Wed - 1430 Cals - 50mins XT + 1hour walk
Thur 1060 Cals - 30mins XT (tough day didn't feel like eating much)

and in the last two weeks, so combined with last week where I didn't overeat at all and moaned that I hadn't lost any...

I have lost 4lb

Sorry that you're having a struggle with the weight loss at the moment Mixedmama. I'm sure once you'e out walking it will start to come off again.

Lisa that's a great loss. You must be thrilled. I can't wait to hit the 10 stone something mark either.

Well, as I expected I have lost weight, but that's been through being ill as I haven't had the energy or inclination to exercise. I am feeling totally back to normal now though so no more excuses to avoid the exercise bike! I've lost 3 lbs this week, making the total loss 15lbs so I'm quite chuffed.

Woohoo Lisa! Well done! Thats fantastic.

I feel your anger, mixedmama. Its so annoying to put weight on. Sometimes its what we need to get us back on track and more determined.

I had a sneaky weigh in today instead of tomorrow and have lost nothing. Again!. I am still 10st6!!

I was trying to be so determined this week too

I will have to be extra good this week and do as mixedmama and have separate meals.

Wintersun my weight loss is probably quicker because I was so incredibly FAT! I'm only 5ft3 so I was ( and still am) really overweight. You weigh a lot less than me so it's bound to be slower.
It doesn't help though does it?! You just want that weight to come off and stay off! Keep up the good work! We're all going to be skinny minny's by the Summer.

15lbs is fantastic Countess! I like the idea of being a skinny minny.

Wintersun, what Countess said. It's so much harder to lose lbs once your body is approaching optimum weight. So hang in there, and be patient with yourself, every quarter of a lb matters once you start getting really close. I know you know this, but it sometimes helps to have it said.

Lovely day to get out and about. So will have some soup and walk after the pfb's nap.

Those stats are really inspiring!

I've been lurking and just wanted to say especially well done countess and lisa. Great results.

I'm feeling okay mentally, absolutely shattered physically though. I have zero energy so as much as I would like to do some exercise (to help clear my muddled thoughts) I just can't manage it.

I'll be hopefully back soon, but I just wanted to say well done all and keep it up.

Hi Banana - just caught up with this thread and wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss - hope you feel stronger soon and that you get the opportunity to grab some rest. I really admire your positive mental attitude as it must be a difficult time for you x

I've started to focus more seriously again on weight loss since Wed of this week. Am giving up alcohol and chocolate for the whole of Lent and exercising more.

Have GOT to do it this time. Have got everyone on board at the office as well which is helping immensely and we are taking turn to bring in vegetable soup for lunch! Our company is donating Euros 10 for every kilo lost to a charity chosen by the person who loses the most weight!! All the guys (typical!!) are starting to get quite competitive ...

Am now at 76kg ... which is O.5 kilos less since 21st which is better than nowt I suppose ...

Onwards and upwards comrades all but not in calories!

Counting hello to you too. A loss is still a loss so you're heading in the right direction.Winter is such a tough time to shift weight.

I'm glad we all made this decision to lose weight because I personally dread to think how big I'd be by now if it wasn't for getting my act together and and everyone's support on here.

So sorry to hear your news Banana I had an early miscarriage just over a year ago, after trying for many years. Please be kind to yourself and seek support.

You have all got so active!! Well done to you all, even if your weight isn't going as you would like, the exercise is brilliant!!
I have been away and yes, cheated like mad. Mainly because I forgot my packs - I tried to be as good as I could. I didn't really put anything on though - but a week without losing weight really hurt.
