Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Hope everyone else is doing better

Bearess · 09/04/2005 00:23

I have not dared to weigh myself today. Friend's wedding is tomorrow - damn dress was too tight so had to dash out and get something else! Sod it, am going to get trolleyed and make merry mayhem this weekend.

Have a great time Bearess - diet next week

saintshar · 09/04/2005 21:08

I lost another pound.

I am not losing it as fast as I would like (holidays in 4 Weeks) but it is coming off slowly but surely!

The thing that is keeping me going (this is the longest I have stuck with a healthy eating plan) and haven't suffered any where near as much since doing this.

Also I am making sure I keep up with the exercise these last few Weeks, and I feel great for it!!

I can see my cheek-bones again!

Cam · 13/04/2005 16:23

Good news, Saintshar and TC Hope you enjoyed the wedding Bearess, it wasn't in Windsor was it?
Weighed myself on first day of holiday in France - had lost 2 kg but will undoubtedly have put it all back and then some - anyone know if Calvados, cider, wine, champagne, camembert, oysters, duck, croissants, apple desserts are fattening?
Dreading the scales this Friday but will get back on track now

pindy · 15/04/2005 10:22

Not good news STILL 10st 6lbs - not lost anything - worse than that I THOUGHT I had been good!!!!!

WILL REALLY TRY VERY VERY HARD THIS WEEK _ Good luck to everyone else - hope you did batter

Cam · 15/04/2005 19:53

As I was too tired to go to the gym today I couldn't get on any scales (honest!)but have been trying to keep on the straight and narrow. Was "batter" (as in fish and chips, mmmm) a slip of the tongue Pindy

Right that's it, I promise not to list any more fattening foods on this thread

Cam · 15/04/2005 19:54

Skimmed milk, cottage cheese, grapefruit, cup of hot bouillon, lean chicken, salad....

There, that's better

pindy · 16/04/2005 07:59

LOL - yes it was Cam!

No more thinking of such things, perhaps I was thinking of "battering" the pounds off this week - benefit of the doubt please?

Bearess · 17/04/2005 21:02

Hah! I am still here but not doing very well AT ALL with this at the mo for various reasons. Mainly because am lardy fat cow who likes chocolate too much. Tomorrow I shall be good again though. Thomcat - you star. I am fast heading for 11 stone and would be overjoyed to see a 9 when I get on the scales, even if followed by a 13!

Don't despair Bearess I'm right there with you - but we'll get back on the case tomorrow

Cam · 19/04/2005 12:01

Weighed myself at the gym today and have put back 0.5 kg of the 2 kg I had lost. 2 steps forward, 1 step back.....How's everyone else doing?

saintshar · 23/04/2005 16:57

Is anyone else left - or am I all on my lonesome??

Well I have finally realised that I am no where near going to make my target weight by the time I go on holiday.(in just over 2 Weeks)

But I am still doing well, I have lost another 2lb and am now 11 stone, so have lost 9lb altogether.

I also know that I am going to put some back on whilst I am away, I am going to an all inclusive where I have heard the food is fab, so I am not limiting myself!!!

I will continue when I get back off holiday though, because I feel so much healthier.

If there is anyone else left -let me know how you are getting on - there is only Thomcat who is allowed to put weight on now!

Cam · 24/04/2005 10:23

Well done Saintshar. You might do some swimming or other exercise while on holiday though to counteract so it might not be as bad as you think to keep that weight off. Having had a 3 course Italian lunch at the Brighton meet-up yesterday (and I won't even say how much alcohol)I don't think I've lost any more at the moment. Am completely determined to get back on long-term track on Monday though.

pindy · 25/04/2005 21:29

couldn't weigh this week - scales have given up!!! Added about a stone onto everyones weight, even the cats!!!!!!!!!!

Think I actually had a good week. We shall see.

Good luck everyone

pindy · 30/04/2005 09:33

Anyone still out there? Or have you all wasted away dieting?

I lost 2lbs this week and there is no one to tell

saintshar · 30/04/2005 09:51

YEY!!!

Well done pindy.

I am still here, still trying and doing quite well really. I haven't lost any this Week, but my period is due so am not too upset.

Can't believe how long I have stuck to this for, but I hope that means I will be able to keep it off long-term for once!
