Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Had pea & ham soup and an apple for lunch.
Will go out at lunch and buy more fruit to get me through the afternoon.

pindy · 10/03/2005 12:45

Hi Bearess

pindy · 10/03/2005 12:46

Just had a ham sandwich and a banana and can't wait to drink my warm cup of water!!

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 20:55

Okay, admission time!
So dinner was garlic and ginger prawn stir fry and this afternoon after lunch I had a fruit salad of grapes, orange, apple and pinapple.
BUT, I bought the Sainsburys magazine today and it came with a free 40g bar of Green&Blacks almond organic chocolate bar. OMG, why did I have to discover that stuff now?!!! How scrummy is that chocolate!! YUM. And of course I've shared a bottle of white wine with D, but I'm never giving up the vino, for anything of anyone!

Trouble is don't seem to be getting under 10stone, oh well, sure it'll happen just more slowly than that 1st stone I lost.

How about you girls?

nightowl · 10/03/2005 22:35

ive had a bad day! baby been ill, ive been upset so i didnt eat until tea time when i had tomato soup with a cheese sandwich...so wrong!! then ds threw up and my dinner nearly re-emerged. this is ok though isnt it cus we havent officially started yet? (please say yes)!!

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 22:39

oh mate, what a rotten day. Well I'm a bit pissed and am therefore eating a chocolate lolly. It makes sense to me! Having a fag in between to delay the finishing of choclate lolly!

fairyfly · 10/03/2005 22:50

prawn and garlic and ginger stir fry , the thought sends me into heaven, i can and will diet on that

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 22:55

nightowl · 10/03/2005 23:01

i admit i like my wine and dont think i can ever give it up. unfortunatly alcohol makes me more hungry and if i cant eat i smoke more. so altogether i expect my body is a wreck.

nightowl · 10/03/2005 23:02

loudmum · 11/03/2005 09:21

there are always magic knickers.... which is what I have promised myself for my 40th if I failed to get to a size 12!!

fairyfly · 11/03/2005 09:21

Not weighed myself, no scales

thomcat i would love the recipe thankyou

pindy · 11/03/2005 09:47

Hi Found the scales (hidden them carefully awhile ago!) any got on lightly and quietly and they shouted back OUCH - 10st 5lb - yuk, want to lose 1st 3lbs. Any good receipes plz? I'm enjoying my warm water by the litre. Good luck everyone ;-)

Carla · 11/03/2005 09:58

Jesus, Mary and Joesph ...... 9.13lb!!!!!!

Magic knickers are all very well, but mine are magically now starting to shift it all upwards and outwards ...

Put me down for a stone please!

Now how do I do a Sainsbury's shop without going down the cereal isle?

Pindy, have to ask, why warm water?

pindy · 11/03/2005 10:05

It fills you up even more - I meant it makes you FEEL more full up!!!!

pindy · 11/03/2005 10:07

Bearess - Great dress, you buy it and then we can all borrow it when the weight has gone!!! :-)

lol

Carla · 11/03/2005 10:15

'cos it's warm? [quizzical emoticon]

pindy · 11/03/2005 10:23

Yep - for some reason I think it makes a difference - try it and let me know what you think? Perhaps I'm just dippy

Bearess · 11/03/2005 10:30

pindy - for you I will rent it out at a very competitive rate

OP posts:
pindy · 11/03/2005 10:44

Bearess - sounds good to me!

Got to sign off for a few hours off to have hair done - hilighted etc - not too sure that was a wise decision on Red Nose Day (mad hair etc) anyway hope it turns out OK :-/

Don't eat too much whilst I'm gone and drink that water................ then run to the loo all the time (called excercise)

Prettybird · 11/03/2005 10:51

Can I join in? Forgot to weigh myself this morning, but think I'm about 10st 8lb (or so). Id got down to 10st 3 from 11st 3 (with the help of Mumsnet) last year, but have been having a relapse.

9st 7lb is my target - I'll then review and see if I want to go any further. I'm 5'4" and I used to like to be below 9 stone (even 8stone when I was at Uni), but suspect that as I've got older, my weight has somehow re-distributed and that would be too skinny.

Got to 9st 7lb for my wedding nearly 7 years ago - and felt good about my figure!
