Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Today I've had all-bran with chopped banana, a muller light, two apples, bowl of pasta with tomato-ey sauce and salad, a bowl of melon, two teas and, ahem, slice of choc cake ds brought back for me from a party - sponge a bit dry so didn't eat too much, but scoffed all of the yummy choc icing, mmm... Go on saintshar, 'fess up!

pindy · 14/03/2005 08:38

Didn't do too bad yesterday - until the tiniest piece if bread and butter pudding, but then did run around like a mad thing trying to keep a big black tom cat off of my darling little tortoise shell Mimi kitten!!!!! Not sure it worked, I think she's in love now. How do you know when a cat's pregnant? Help.........

Anyway, slice of toast with yukky low fat grease on it and a cup of tea, going to be really good today. Off to get a big glass of water. Bye for now....

Prettybird · 14/03/2005 09:03

Wrote a long message and then my PC crashed.

Weighed myself this morning: 10st 9lb (one pound away for the "4 digit" weight I'd vowed I would never return to).

Relatively good over the weekend (not perfect, but at least no chocolate except for the two squares of 70% dark chocolate I allow myslef a day) and even went for a 30 minute run.

Will weigh myslef again on Friday.

Bearess · 14/03/2005 09:07

What are adios tablets, I think I've seen them in the chemist but don't know what they're for?

OP posts:
pindy · 14/03/2005 09:59

no idea what adios tablets are!! are they Spanish for "go away fat" !!!

Prettybird · 14/03/2005 10:03

Oh - I had orange juice and a bowl of mini shredded wheat with sliced banana and a cup of tea for breakfast.

Will have the M&S new potato salad for lunch (with egg, lettuce and tomato - only 220 calories) and get some satsumas to snack.

That was I can be sure I've had my 5 items of fruit and veg.

.... off to have a glass of water, first of many

saintshar · 14/03/2005 10:11

Ok Bearess - I will 'fees up!!

I only allow myself alcohol on a Saturday, but had such a bad day yesterday I ended up having 3 glasses of wine last night. Oh and had a take-away on Saturday night, but I hadn't had any tea. I let myself have a treat on a Saturday, so I have that to look forward to all Week.

I use the adios tablets - and would recommend them. They are a herbal tablet, which are suppost to 'help you to lose weight naturally by speeding up your body's metabolic rate, and stimulate fat metabolism.'

All I can say is that I started to diet in Feb, and was doing really well but only lost 1lb in 4 Weeks. I decided to try adios and lost 4lb in a Week! I will say that you really do have to diet - you can't just take a tablet with your cream cake and lose weight. But if you are dieting, it seems to help you to lose the weight a little easier.

Bearess · 14/03/2005 11:01

that'll be me off out to buy some adios tablets later then! I'm very impressed with booze only on a Sat btw.

Egg and potato salad all sold out Bought a greek style feta salad bowl instead 270 calaories. PLus a load of clementines.

Going to have to be really good this week as I've just realised that the Friday weigh-in will be the day before my period starts, when I usually go up a couple of pounds

loudmum · 14/03/2005 14:39

just in from first swim of the week... 5 days until weigh in so am very motivated... meant to listen to my Pauk McK CD last night but was too engrosed in Da vinci Code but at least did not eat whilst reading it... PROGRESS!!!

Reethi · 14/03/2005 20:33

Had 4 glasses of wine on Friday night, went for a Thai meal on Saturday, McDonalds on Sunday and today I had a packet of Cadbury's Mini Eggs.

Anyone want to take bets on whether I lose anything on Friday?

Bearess · 14/03/2005 21:35

Mini eggs, God I love cadbury's mini eggs.

Well today ladies, guess what I had for breakfast? Yes! How on earth did you guess? That's right, all-bran & chopped banana! Ciabatta roll with light cheese spread & salad for lunch, an apple, I had tea out with ds and ordered pasta with mushrooms because it looked like the least fattening thing on the menu, unfortunately it came swimming in butter, yummy but v. fattening. A muller light just now. I have got to tell you what happened today though, it was hilarious, I went to Waterstones to buy the Fat girl slim cook book and the one about how French women don't get fat (had a quick flip and some of the recipes look fab, will post!) anyway, the bloke behind the counter said "who are these for?" and I said "Me!" so the love said "You don't look like you need to lose a pound" - made my day I can tell you, and the fact that he wasn't far off retirement age (and clearly needed to go to specsavers) has nothing to do with it, I'll take my compliments where I can get them these days!!

OP posts:
turquoise · 14/03/2005 21:42

Lol at specsavers!
I am a useless dieter, bad weekend of being very angry with dp resulting in donut eating frenzy (another thing to blame him for). Also went and bought all the ingredients for TC's prawn dish but forgot the prawns.
Today has been marginally better though, spec K, egg and tuna salad and a twix. And no alcohol for a week

ThomCat · 14/03/2005 22:07

I've been RUBBISH but I don't care it was the weekend.

And today doesn't count either, I was feeling like crap after a very heavy, very large Saturday night out.

It's all about tomorrow!

linnywith2 · 14/03/2005 22:22

pindy · 15/03/2005 08:38

Hi linnywith2 - glad you've joined us. I think Fridays will come round toooooooo quickly though!!!

I was quite good yesterday, ham salad roll for lunch and a banana, tea was bangers and mash and beans but only a tiny helping and then a bowl of all bran and a banana at 9.30pm when I got in.

Oh yes, loadz of water.......

Today has been a cup of tea and a slice of toast, but it is still early.

Prettybird · 15/03/2005 09:11

Was relatively good last noght. Had a snack of a few brazil nuts when I got in - but then dh offered me a glass of a very good sherry [blsuh].

Supper was cold roast chicken (skin taken off of course ) with a few oven chips and loads of peas and a tomato. Had a couple of squares of dark chocolate - but just before I went to bed I cheated and had 2 jaffa cakes .

Did make sure to drink loads of water during the day

Cheated again this morning and weighed myself - 10st 8lb So as long as I stay being relatively good, should have some leeeway for my "Pre-period weight gain" which might affect my Friday weigh in.

saintshar · 15/03/2005 10:01

Hi y'all!

Yesterday I had a low fat yogurt and apple for breakfast.
Tuna salad for dinner, chicken, rice and a few oven chips for tea.
Apple and a plum in the evening because I was peckish.
7 glasses of water and 3 cups of tea.
Not bad for once!

Bearess · 15/03/2005 23:18

Hello linnywith2!

Oh, I have eaten loads today, nothing naughty but have been nibbling all day, did make rice krispie cakes with ds - and didn't eat one so I suppose that's progress.

How is everyone doing?
