Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Always have that problem - too loose around the top and too tight around the bum - pear shaped - YUK - what can we do to shift it all up a bit?

If I wasn't such a scardy cat I'd have a boob job - just have to make do with the push-ups and jelly things lol

Seriously, go for the body wrap - I'd love to know how well it works!

Reethi · 18/03/2005 07:14

Oh well... I have not very well at all. I put on 2lb! Now weigh 9.7 Had a bad start to the week, very stressed because I have an assignment due next week which I have only just started. Must do better!

Carla · 18/03/2005 07:16

9'11".

Bearess · 18/03/2005 08:05

Carla - you have lost 2 lbs, that is fab, why the sad face? I have lost 3 lbs making me 10st 6lbs - target for next Friday is 10st 3lbs - will be interesting as leaving for my friend's hen-do this afternoon, will be drinking lots and then probably eating fat food to ease my hangover! Have a lovely weekend everyone - will not be logging in again until Sunday night or Monday. Prettybird - are wraps v. expensive? I ask because I'll need manicure & pedicure pre-wedding, not to mention spray tan and roots done (virtually live in Essex you know!) - and I haven't bought any shoes yet and dh will start squeaking!

Well done Carla and Bearess. I think I ate too much for supper last night as it was just me and dh (dd had tea earlier because of her swimming gala). Also had it later than normal. I'm intending to go to the gym this afternoon though.

Prettybird · 18/03/2005 08:42

10st 9lb this morning so no change since Monday But maybe I should be as my period is due tomorrow and I usually put on about 2lb just before it starts.

Was very good last night at the Girls' Night - only had two very small half glasses of wine, lots of water and was really restrained with the (very nice) food.

bearess, the wraps are quite expensive - I thin the course of three was £115 (£50 each, but special offer if you bought all three) and that was seven years ago.

There's a beauty salon nearby that has an offer on for half price facial or manicure if you buy a contour body wrap. It's part of a national chain, but I can't remember its name. I'll check at lunch time when I go into town for lunch (low calorie of course ) with my mum.

loudmum · 18/03/2005 08:59

mmmm just the 1 lb off - so not very impressed with myself... might need to be stricter this week... did have a works do yesterday which might have had an impact but still.... must try harder...

saintshar · 18/03/2005 10:26

Weighed myself Yesterday - 11stone 3lb, so I have lost 2lb. Not too bad I suppose, but I only have just over 7 Weeks to lose another 9lb so better get my backside in gear.

Nice healthy meals again Yesterday, but had a hot cross bun and some good-for-you ice cream again!

I did go jogging last night though, and am going to do the gardening today as it is lovely out.

Well done everyone else!
Bearess - have a lovely weekend!
prettybird - I am the same when my period is due, so that is good news!
loudmum - 1lb off is better than a 1b on, so well done!

pindy · 18/03/2005 10:53

10st 3lb - lost 2lbs - better than nothing I suppose - aim for next week is to be 10st. Well done everyone - don't go too mad over the weekend

turquoise · 18/03/2005 13:56

still 9.8, haven't lost an ounce. And I had gin and wine last night useless fat lump.
But I am pmtish, and would undoubtedly have pigged out more if it hadn't been for this thread, so there's the bright side.

turquoise · 18/03/2005 13:57

Sorry - forgot to say well done everyone else!

Prettybird · 18/03/2005 14:01

Well done everyone.

Had a nice healthy lunch with my mum - tomato bruschetta with just sparkling water with it to drink and a cappucino afterwards.

Prettybird · 18/03/2005 14:05

Oh - and checked out the beauty salon on the way up. It looks like it is just a Scottish chain, but when I was checking it out on the web, I found the Contour Body Wrap Salon Finder which might be useful.

Cam · 18/03/2005 18:35

Only had time for a tiny swim today (not enough I fear) but the good news is that the electronic scales in the ladies changing room at my club were out of order. I didn't have time to go to the gym one so still have not weighed in. My face looks thinner though (prefer it if my bum did)

nightowl · 19/03/2005 00:02

disapointed. weighed in at 10st 6 3/4 pounds. only lost 1lb and a 1/4. grrrrrrrrr.

Cam · 19/03/2005 10:15

Don't nbe dissapointed nightowl, its a start in the right direction!

pindy · 20/03/2005 09:27

Yes it's in the right direction - I hope we all go the right way every week - somehow I doubt it all the time!

ThomCat · 21/03/2005 22:04

I've been a saint
I even made myself a groos cucumber, celery, basil & ginger drink, juiced it all myself. Munched on pumpkin seeds. Drank home juiced carrot & apple, salmon & veggies, poached eggs & samoked salmon and had a roast but before 6pm over the weekend.

Today had 2 pieces wholemeal toast.
Roast chicken & cucumber sarnie on granary bread
celery & organic homous
grapes
Had pasta tonight as a treat for D who has been away for weekend, so had with 1/2 fat ricotta cheese, sundried toms, garlic and a grilled chicken breast.
Had urge to have something to sweet so had a bite of a fruit/seed bar instead of chocolate.

My neighbour sked if I had lost weight this morning
And the trousers I wore today wouldn't stay up without a belt

linnywith2 · 21/03/2005 22:14

ok thomcat, now you've made me jealous!!!!
tell me, is granary bread lower in fat than regular bread?

ThomCat · 21/03/2005 22:18

No idea, just now it's better than evil white bread.

ThomCat · 21/03/2005 22:22

Right :

Hovis granary bread (brown bread with malted wheat flakes)
per slice
Fat of which sat -0.1g
Carbs (of which sugars) - 1.4g
fibre 1.4g
86 kcals

Hovis wholemeal
per slice
Fat of which sat - 0.3g
carbs (of which sugars) - 1.8g
fibre 2.4g
73 kcals

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
