Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

ive been a bad bad girl over the weekend. had a buffet/salad/picnic type thing on sat and lots of alcohol and couldnt be arsed yesterday so had fish fingers, chips and white sauce. been really busy today again so didnt eat anything until tea time (2 pieces toast with spread) and am now gutsing a lemon chicken thing with rice. spose its reasonably healthy.......its still much less than id usually eat though!! (tries to make herself feel better) have been doing much more walking since last week and hoping that may start to help a bit. need ideas for snacks at work too, part time so i cant have a dinner break or anything on a plate (not allowed at desk) but i can have something easily hideable!!

pindy · 22/03/2005 10:58

snap nightowl! - Had a lovely w/e but the party with all the yummy buffet food will not have helped the cause!!

Really busy yesterday so had a ham roll and then beans on toast for tea and when I got back in had a big bowl of all bran and a banana - that should help!

Good so far today - must go and drink some more water.

Unfortunately (well not really) it is ds 11th birthday tomorrow and we can't let the day go without chocolate cake (oh no!) but as he is then off to a school thing at the Colston Hall in Bristol (anyone elses kids going? North Somerset?) we are having the family thing at the weekend - and yes - you've guessed it more chocolate cake.

Good luck to everyone

Cam · 22/03/2005 15:04

I was quite good yesterday until I got back from an evening meeting at school when I was hungry (must have been all the talking I did). Am having to compensate today.

pindy · 24/03/2005 16:38

I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow - I think my scales will be wrong

ThomCat · 24/03/2005 16:50

Apart from all the white wine i've been good this week tbh, had better weeks but still determined to keep going in the right direction, not getting bored of this which is a first for me. People are commenting on my weight loss and trousers are starting to not fit which is all good. long way to go, well another stone anyway and it's a lot slower than losing the 1st stone but i'm enjpoying eating better.

Reethi · 25/03/2005 08:50

Lost the 2lb I put on last week so weigh in at 9.5 again. I don't somehow think I will meet my first target of 9st by 1st April!

Off to Costa Coffee for breakfast (Skinny Cappuchino and a nice yummy blueberry muffin!)

pindy · 25/03/2005 09:48

Well not as bad as expected!! Actually lost 1lb so that makes it 10st 2lb - target is 10st for next week.

Good luck to everyone else - keep going

earthmum · 25/03/2005 21:20

Jumping in the middle of it all but feel I need to lose at least a stone by June (weddings and holidays looming) so I hope you don't mind if I join you all. Would be good if you could point me in the right direction. I am 10st 9lbs after having my son of 1yr and my daughter of 2yrs.

Thanks

Hello, am back!! Sorry have been crap and pants, went away last weekend for friend's hen-do and virtually ate myself stupid, then since I've been back have been laid low with a virus so have been eating rubbish (personal best on Thursday night one 100g pack mini-eggs, approx 500 cals plus 2 (yes, 2) M&S luxury hot cross buns with butter. Found the courage to weigh myself just now, 10 st 7lbs so have gained 1lb in last 8 days, thought it would be worse, so am relieved, mind you with Easter tomorrow, hmmmm...

nightowl · 28/03/2005 00:44

weighed myself friday and good news!! am now 10st 4 3/4 so ive lost another 2lb.

saintshar · 29/03/2005 09:07

Well I am off with the family to stay with FIL for a few days, so thought I would report in before I go.

I weighed myself on Friday, and am still the same weight. But now being Tuesday, I am sure I will have put some on.

Main reasons for me thinking like this: take-aways, lots of alcohol, chocolate, period due today, etc, etc.

I am going to be 'good' again starting today, but am not looking forward to weighing myself this Week.

I will just have to be even better this Week to make up for it!

Bearess · 31/03/2005 01:16

earthmum - the rules are - there are no rules!! Other than the tricks you know work for you. Just eat healthily and do whatever suits you really. I'm still being pants though and have been a piglet over Easter, MUST DO BETTER!!

RIGHT THEN - so has everyone given this up in despair after too much easter egg scoffing? I weighed myself on Friday and was 10st 9lbs, back to where I started, my own fault. None of my clothes fit and I am very hacked off but only have myself to blame. Have still got the wedding to go to on Sat and don't dare try on my outfit!! Am going to really try to be good again from tomorrow! Who's with me?!

OP posts:
nightowl · 03/04/2005 23:19

Cam · 04/04/2005 16:27

Hello girls, I'm still here but did eat chocolate over Easter. I finally managed to weigh myself today at the gym and I'm far too to write my weight down but I will be reporting any loss or gain (hope not) from now on. I can be good till Friday but then I'm going to France (and even worse, Normandy!)but I will do lots of swimming and walking there - cos I can assure you I will also be eating (and drinking)

saintshar · 04/04/2005 22:10

Heeeeeey!!

I am back! Have been quite naughty lately, but have weighed myself at the weekend and am still 11st 3lb, so I am quite happy with that.

Have been doing lots of exercise though - jogging and going on bike rides with DS1, and am feeling much better in myself for doing that.

We will all have slip-ups along the way, but lets all stick with it!!!!!

Bearess · 05/04/2005 11:35

Hello - there are four of us left, we will do it!! France, Cam I'm very have some moules & frites and smelly cheese for me! Oh and lashings of red of course!
