Hi ilove,

Well done on losing 10 stone - that's awesome. I'd like to lose about 6 stone and have discovered there's no Lighter Life class near me so am going to start Cambridge Diet on Saturday. Cannot wait.

Tell you what, I'll support you for the final two stone you're losing if you look out for me too?

Hx

Sounds like a plan to me!

WOW you must be a whole new person!!!

hsanders · 16/10/2008 22:17

cool ilove - I'll record my weight here and actually, I am starting tomorrow (Fri Oct 17) - and you can keep tally on the two stone you're losing (you don't have to put your weight, btw; I am only doing it as seeing it out there, in black and white, may actually make it all a bit real, and make sure I actually do it!

hsanders · 18/10/2008 11:29

Hi ilove,

Hope you've had a good week with Lighter Life - I started Cambridge Diet yesterday and my starting weight was 15 stone 6 pounds. I never thought I'd ever write that down.

How did you feel when you lost the initial ten stone? Yu must have noticed such a huge difference in your life?

Hope you're okay and hope the final two stone gets going soon...
H x

cheekysealion · 18/10/2008 14:38

how have your first few days been?

ilove · 18/10/2008 14:41

People say the first few days are the hardest but I ddn't find that, I found the longer I do it the harder it is sometimes!

I LOVE LIGHTER LIFE!!

I was in it last year and lost 4 and a half stone before falling pregnant with my beautiful DD who is now 8m. Away to start it again on Monday - have about 9 stone to lose - Eek!!

Good luck!!

stewart2000 · 19/10/2008 17:58

HSANDERS HI

me and the hubby started this on sat also how r u finding it?

hsanders · 24/10/2008 10:28

Started Saturday and after a few horrid headache days, have now lost 8 pounds and feeling great! Do not want to cheat. Loving the shakes and loving getting on the scales each morning, knowing I am heading towards health and a better future. Sounds melodramatic but it's true!

I'm on top of the world today. Dipped under 15 stone - so started at 15 stone 6 pounds on Saturday morning...

and am now 14 stone 12 pounds!

How about you guys?

hsanders · 25/10/2008 20:04

One week gone and I've lost 9.5 lbs!

Woo hoo - just got back from a ay at the hospital with my son (who has cancer and having his final chemo this weekend) and I've given in a little. BUT not chocolate like I would normally do. But I'm having some chicken and a little cheese...so not bad, but not great. Back on it tomorrow.

Finding it easy to drink the required 3 litres of water though so that's a good thing.

How's everyone else getting on?

LittleMonkeysMummy · 25/10/2008 20:07

I started on Monday and am down 8lb already!! I was told hat you no longer had to drink a certain amount of water - just enough to keep you hydrated and tea and coffee was included. When I did this last year you had to drink 4 litres aday over and above tea and coffee. Felt like I was never offthe loo!!

cheekysealion · 26/10/2008 11:01

LMM- what was your start weight? that is a great loss for a week

I am toying with cambridge diet just for a few months..

i have lost a few stone with dieting but it is so slow...

So how much are they suggesting you drink and how much have you been drinking,

Cambridge diet they say 2 litres of water a day

LittleMonkeysMummy · 26/10/2008 17:49

Sealion - am too embarrassed to say but put it this way I have about 9 stone to lose!!

Lighterlife are now saying that you just need to drink enough to keep you hydrated bt I've been finding I've been having about 2 and a half litres in addition to tea and coffee.

cheekysealion · 26/10/2008 20:52

whoops sorry thst was a bit nosy of me....

you are doing great, how are you finding it?

LittleMonkeysMummy · 26/10/2008 20:56

no bother. have had a few headaches and grumbling tum but other than that am feeling fine.

cheekysealion · 26/10/2008 21:11

is LL 4 food packs? (did i read the website right)

as cambridge is only 3

cheekysealion · 26/10/2008 21:11

LittleMonkeysMummy · 27/10/2008 08:40

Yeah LL is 4 packs and to honest I sometimes find it a struggle to take all 4

Have my weigh in tonight so I'll post let yo know how I get on.

Have you started the Camridge diet yet Sealion?

cheekysealion · 27/10/2008 19:22

not yet i am going to though, i have the stuff, just need to decide a day to start, not sure half term is the best time, but when will be iyswim!!!

let us know how you get on tonight

hsanders · 28/10/2008 16:19

How did you get on last night LittleMonkeysMummy (love your name!!)?

I found LL's packets not as 'sweet' tasting as Cambridge and no difference between havinhg 3 or 4 once you get past the first few days with the headaches and hunger feelings.

Shouldn't have had the chicken on Saturday night as it made my weight go up by 2 lbs and then now it's back to me having lost 9.5 lbs over the past 10 days. Which is still good but now definitely will not 'cheat' and have food, especially the amount of chicken I had was probably too much.

ilove - how is your final 2 stone going?

And cheekysealion, there's lots of us here so we can help support you via MN once you decide to go for it. Half term amy be good as the children will keep you busy and so won't be thinking about food? Only the first few days are hard, but once you're through them you're fine. Imagine, in the next week or two you could start losing weight, and alot of it!

LittleMonkeysMummy · 28/10/2008 16:40

I sorry I hven't managed to get online before now - Little Monkey was living up to her nickname and creating havoc!! I got on really well last night. I have lost 11 lbs in one week (am amazed!)

How's everyone else getting on?

hsanders · 29/10/2008 22:41

Well done LittleMonkeysMummy - that is awesome. Bet you're looking forward to this week and losing some more. You've already lost nearly 11% of the weight you wanted to lose. Awesome!

Stupidly that chicken I had on Saturday has meant I have still lost 9.5 lbs in 10 days, but hey, I'm not complaining. Really wanted food today for some reason. Not emotional eating but very hungry despite 3 soups / shakes and 4 litres of water!!!

Anyway, best of luck this week and let's keep going.

hsanders · 31/10/2008 11:16

Yey, I was weighed officially last night and had lost 12.5 pounds not the 9.5 lbs I had thought. Now this morning I've lost another 1.5 lbs so that a stone in 13 days. Happy? Me? Yeap!

Any news on how others are doing?

LittleMonkeysMummy · 31/10/2008 14:50

That's fab Sanders! I must admit I've found this week hard going. I was 30 on Wed and all m pressies seems to revolve around food or drink. Am sitting here with 5 boxes of choccies staring at me. Help!!
