Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

I think the Minstrels negated the walking somewhat, sadly.

I am feeling a nity down about it at the mo - I think I am beyond help tbh. I need surgery

Praise be! I lost the three pounds that I put on last week. So I'm back on track once more. (To be honest, I think my scales need new batteries - not sure that I trust them).

So 10 st 7lb - with the aim of getting down to 9st 13lb by the end of Oct. Then a bit more, so I can have some leeway before a big Christmas pig out...

Well done to all other losers this week!

Absolutely, Storm - putting on 3lb in one week was a bit of a wake-up call!

Sheik?
So if you had surgery you'd abstain from minstrels?
Time to look deep inside and ask what you need.
Why not try instead to think
My body deserves better
I need better
I want to look better
Sometimes on this journey, you need a reason to do it... The motivation comes from something inside which enables you to say no and choose alternative ways.
Maybe in your heart you want it but your head is not there yet?
Or vice versa?
Or I could be spouting sanctimonious shit after two beers
Sheik. You have to want it to do it
I think you can fwiw

Jahan · 14/09/2008 09:17

Oh dear. Looks like quite a few of us have been slacking. I include myself - stayed the same again but ate way, way too much yesterday. Went out yesterday evening too and had a good Italian 3 course meal.

Sheik - seriously try writing, or logging on fitday, or something everything you eat. It really does help.

How about we set some dieting and exercising rules this week to get everyone back on track?

Or how about we get into teams for this week to see which team can lose the most weight and clock up the most minutes of exercise?
We could pair up or have teams of 3 or 4?

Come on people! Lets get rid of fat!

LisaLessLumpy · 14/09/2008 10:14

Sounds good Jahan

I had a crap eating day yesterday too, inc Indian last night I need to get back on my cross trainer, I haven't been on since I got back off holiday two weeks ago

I also want to lose 7lb by the 8th November which I know is going to be tough for me to do so I need to exercise, its just a case of getting my head round it. Right!

BY THE END OF TODAY I WILL DO AT LEAST 30MINS ON THE XT

Cappuccino · 14/09/2008 10:15

I'm glad everyone else has been crap, because I have been so far off the wagon I have been under the fecking wheels

I'm going to make a shopping list later so if anyone has any good ideas for dinner that children can eat but also will fit into a diet please spill

Jahan · 14/09/2008 10:24

I thought the psychology of not letting your team mates down or sticking to written down rules that everyone else is sticking to would help some people. I know it would help me but isn't for everyone.

I'm sick of being crap.

Cappuccino - As long as its not deep fried or has too much fat, have whatever the children eat but just portion control for yourself and add extra salad or veg.

I have had porridge today.
Will have beans on toast for lunch. Not sure about dinner.

I will also doe 1/2 hr exercise - either brisk walk or tae-bo.

Jahan · 14/09/2008 10:26

Oh and drink a big glass of water every hour.

I like the idea Jahan, I'm up for it. I really want to lose this last half stone, I'll still be classed as overweight if I go by the charts but it will be ok for me I think, otherwise all the new clothes I've bought this year will be too big I can't afford to start buying again just yet So I need to lose one pound a week for the next 7 weeks, should be doable even by my standards

I have been raking the garden this morning and will be back out again as soon as I have sorted the boys out with lunches etc. Will also do 30 mins on the XT tonight, and right now I am going to go and drink a pint of water OPERATION 8th November begins RIGHT NOW

ChupitosGalore · 14/09/2008 12:00

yo

darnit i forgot about this again since last time. will be back when i have anything constructive to post

Jahan · 14/09/2008 12:01

Ok, I will start another thread for the challenge....

Piffle · 14/09/2008 12:24

someone was freecycling x trainer so have asked for it. Eating sensibly today too
Have lost a bit more and am back on course just.
Have been drinking this last 5 days in sympathy after dps vasectomy and with kids being ill.
No more!

Good Luck Piffle.

Well I didn't manage 30 mins on the XT last night but I did do 2 hours of gardening which included trudging back and forwards across a muddy field dragging big branches off the trees we pruned on the driveway we share with next door and also raking up all the hedge cuttings... I ache today

Also did 30 mins on the XT this morning and I must say I feel much better for it. I might even see if I can do some tonight too

Right off to sort out food/meals for the coming week, I NEED TO BE GOOD

sagacious · 16/09/2008 09:22

Have been swimming (1st time in 15 years!)
Went to the gym yesterday (35 mins cardio 10 mins weights)

Am going swimming again this afternoon.

Have had 2 slices of toast with marg and fruit spread (normally I'd have 4 slices but I've hidden the bread and put away the toaster)

Checked my body fat.. its bloody gone up to 39% .... HOW? hOW IS THAT possible?
