Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

I will also commit! My weight loss has tuned into weight gain over the last couple of months. It started to go wrong in June when I had this horrible virus which gave me arthritis and then post viral fatigue. I was feeling so tired and started to eat nonsense and also had no energy to do any exercise.
I am feeling better now and actually tried running (or rather dying whilst standing up) a couple of days ago and will try and go running/walking this eve.

have to loose 4/5lbs to get to June weight and would like to loose about 1 stone

no I will def go out walking tonight!!

scorpio1 · 31/08/2008 11:59

Thankyou for all nice comments

I walked more than 2 miles yesterday. Will do wii tonight, have stuck to diet. Having a poo time at the mo, but will still try.

Piffle · 31/08/2008 17:49

Ah cleaning, knew I'd forgotten something this week, although that said, being out of the house 2-3 hrs a day helps prevent ds2 aka hurricane finbar from destroying house

I have printed out on A4 some wise words for me to put on the fridge.

They are:-

Are you really hungry?
SHUT THE FRIDGE DOOR NOW!
Go and run up and downstairs 5 times.
If you still want something have a glass of water or some fruit instead.
NO SNACKING!
DO NOT finish off the boys leftovers.
SIT DOWN and eat a proper lunch at the table.

I'm hoping it will give me something to think about as I tend to put food in my mouth without thinking about it.

sagacious · 01/09/2008 08:19

Can I join?
I was on the WW thread but I've stopped going so feel a bit of a fraud
(I've also in the six weeks put on 7lb (mainly alchohol and walkers sensations related) of the 16lb's I lost at WW and am creeping back to a size 14)

BecauseImWorthIt · 01/09/2008 09:02

OK. Today is day 1!

Have already drunk half a litre of water.

For me, it's the low carb route, so my breakfast will be a couple of eggs.

Not sure about exercise today because I'm working all day at another office, but I'm going to try and put at least a 10 minute walk in.

Woke up with a hangover this morning so also glad that today is the start of the alcohol-free period.

I feel very positive and am looking forward to being in control of my eating/drinking.

Good luck to us all!

scorpio1 · 01/09/2008 10:29

Morning everyone.
I didn't get to post on Sat but I lost 2lb. I'm ecstatic as I've been finding the weight loss very slow even though I've been quite good
I have made it into the 10stone range. I'm now 10st 11lb (I was 12st7lb at the beginning of the year) and I'm aiming for 9st7lb.

I'm going for 7lb this month too.

I'm going to

stick to 1250 cals a day
drink lots of water
exercise 4x 30 mins a week
do 50 sit ups and some bingo wings moves every eve in front of tv
body brush every day

And well done Scorpio! 9lbs is fantastic. That should keep you motivated.

sagacious · 01/09/2008 11:00

Had a cup of peppermint tea and a bowl (30g) of fruit and fibre with skim milk.

An hour till lunchtime..

(triple checks watch)

(puts bodybrushing on list of things to do)

scorpio1 · 01/09/2008 11:03

Does bodybrushing really help?

scorpio1 · 01/09/2008 11:04

Hi KerryMum - how much would you like to lose? Got a plan?

Piffle · 01/09/2008 11:06

No real exercise due to sore foot but did plenty gardening etc

Prob soup and rye and fruit for lunch
Snack dried mango and few almonds cpl rich tea bikkies

Dinner pork fillet (maple soy rosemary) salad tabbouleh
Yum!

Scorpio, I went over big time on sunday too. I forced myself to put it all into fitday and it was 3000 odd calories

Anyway, back on the straight and narrow for the rest of the week.

Good news Jahan

Welcome all new recruits Lots of us have been using fitday you can count calories, set your goals, work out what you burn with various activities. Tis fab (and free)

orangina · 01/09/2008 11:23

I'm joining up again. Have been quite good last week since my terrible too-many-sausages weekend last weekend.... Have lost a kilo (2lbs?), hooray! Am drinking a LOT of water, taking all my supplements, eating lots of protein and vegetables, eating no wheat (boohoo!), and (nearly) no booze. Body brushing too. Have just done pilates class. Am feeling ultra virtuous, and am allowing myself to snack on seeded spelt biscuits (blimey)...

Would like to lose a stone ultimately, would take me back to pre-dc weight. Will settle for 7 pounds in September, and try to keep going through to Christmas....

scorpio1 · 01/09/2008 11:28

KerryMum - we have each set our own cal limits, recommeneded is 2000 per day so we all try to eat under - i do 1500, some do 1700,

or just try making healthier choices? Then it sort of follows naturally

sagacious · 01/09/2008 11:34

Joined fitday (ta muchly for link) I am 10lbs over my healthy weight
Want to have lost that by Oct 31st.

Thats do- able surely ?

Piffle · 01/09/2008 11:57

sure is doable!
My goal is now real challenge.
Thought boob reduction consult was 05 November
Been brought forward to 03oct!!!
Eeks

Jahan · 01/09/2008 13:22

Body brushing will help get rid of cellulite so you won't have 'lumpy' thighs (you'll see the difference in 2 weeks) plus you can get rid of up to 2lbs of toxins a week.

Have a look atthis

Piffle · 01/09/2008 13:43

wow seriously?
Seems like decent result for little effort or cost?
A rare thing thus!
