Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

Aparently those handheld bodyfat monitors aren't that reliable, they vary according to how hydrated you are.

Anyway, I'm back and finding it a bit hard to remotivate myself, plus DD started back at school and I need to get into a new routine. She's on half days for a couple of weeks, I was thinking about doing some exercise but just realise I have to go and pick her up soon.

Please can someone kick my bottom a bit?

I have done 30 mins on the XT again tonight. Ate crap all day though and stupidly jumped on the scales this morning only to find I am 2lb up so the same weight as I was 2 weeks ago I am hoping that will have gone by Saturday though

Piffle · 16/09/2008 20:30

Am crap personified

LisaLessLumpy · 16/09/2008 20:54

lol

Hobnobfanatic · 16/09/2008 22:11

OOOh, I got an interesting gadget today. It was from Lloyd's - a free £10 Body Composition Monitor (free cos I spent more than a tenner on nicotine replacement stuff), Anyway, you put your details in and it tells you your water content (!), fat, muscle, BMI and how many calories you need to survive a day. All just by holding it.
I probably wouldn't have bought one, but as it was free, I'm quite chuffed with it. Apparently, I need 1777 calories a day on average, so anything less (or burning more), will (or should) result in loss.
All I need now is willpower. I wonder if Lloyds will have an offer on that next week...

Me too, on both counts.
I have been crap since coming back from hols, and seem to have developed ezcema, I think, never had it before except wen I was a baby.

What can we do to remotivate?

I've not seen it...

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/09/2008 08:19

Haven't seen it either.

I'm doing a challenge on the low carb forum I also use (when I can fit it in alongside MN!).

My starting weight this morning is 10 stone 2. My ultimate target is 8 stone 11. Just putting it in writing for the world to see in the hope that it will galvanise me.

Food choices have been quite good, and have managed some alcohol free nights and cut down on others, so not doing too badly here.

But I still haven't managed to do any exercise/get to the gym ...

SheikYerbouti · 18/09/2008 12:30

Right, have walked this morning. Pedometer says I have done 10,756 steps and tis nly 12 30

I am still fatty, but at least I am a fatty that's making the effort to do some walking. I have set myself a target to not use the car for anything but work. and going swimming (as swimming pool is in next town)

That's good Sheik, just keep slogging away at it and we'll get there!

I'm hoping I'm getting back on the right track myself, as I managed an early night and feel less tired. I logged on to Fitday for the 1st time in a week. Exercise is a bit difficult though until DD starts on full days at school, I used to do it during DS's nap but he's now sleeping in the car during pick up. Hopefully I'll get something done tomorrow though as DD will be away with SIL.

SheikYerbouti · 18/09/2008 16:18

Am just about to have a v small portion of Shepherd's Pie and loads of veg for dinner with the boys as I have to work later

I WILL BE SKINNY

I am going to do this.
