Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

OP posts:

oh and bernard mannings belly ...

Jahan · 02/09/2008 17:35

LOl piffle. I read your posts as your mil wanting your mums figure and Bernard Mannings belly. Strange mil

I am just a big apple shape but my arms are huuuuge. they are toally out of proportion to the rest of me.

As for face or arse, what about doing some face exercises? would that help??

scorpio1 · 02/09/2008 17:36

have written today off

Was ok until i had a takeaway from well known chicken place. and ice cream.

Will wii fit though as normal, and be very good.

BecauseImWorthIt · 02/09/2008 17:41

orangina - you're not alone - I was 49 on Saturday!

Food has been good for me so far (not calorie counting but restricting carbs) and I'm preparing for another alcohol-free night.

Haven't managed the exercise yet, so will try and sort something out tomorrow.

orangina · 02/09/2008 17:48

Happy birthday BIWI! Glad to see there are a few of us in the prime of our life ()...! Am not calorie counting either, but restricting carbs, no wheat at all, no dairy and (almost) no sugar.

Sigh.

Think it might be working though, and wierdly enough, not TOO much craving.....

orangina · 02/09/2008 17:50

(now feel like a freak for having typed that.... )

Cappuccino · 02/09/2008 20:14

piffle I am completely with you on the walking thing - today was Back to School and tho this should have meant a brisk walk up the hill to school, it actually meant a drive to school (less than 5 mins walk away ffs) with dd and her walking frame, crutches and lunchbag

I go everywhere in the car when I am with her; I do envy those people who can walk with their children

on her bike (special trike) she can go up and down about 15 terraced houses in about 8 mins

again not with the speed

I have been v good but today I am having a damn bit of cake. It will make my fit day calories no lower, but no higher, than what I have burned

sod it. I have lost 3lbs this week. I want a sodding cake

Piffle · 02/09/2008 21:14

aye aye capp. Darling dd shared her aero bar with me after tea. Dd walks fine capp but balance Nd visual difficulties mean doddery type progress and due to hypotonia her legs ache after 3mins bless her

Right on topic.
Day ended 1325cals
Ping!!!
Been angelic this week wonder if I will crash and burn at weekend
Seem to be fair bit ahead of target this far
Mind you can undo all good with curry pilau naan and lager

Sputnik · 02/09/2008 21:21

Well I was doing really well today but we went out for a pizza. They then brought the wrong starter which was basically 4 times what we'd ordered, and said "well have it anyway", I realy can't not eat delicious stuff if it's there in front of me. Anyay, no idea what that added up to, lucky I did 1 hour of very vigorous exercise today.

Cappuccino · 03/09/2008 09:59

I couldn't manage a day on 1325

I am always around 1600

today I went to Boots to get a yogurt and was amused to find that the Shapers ones were nearly half as many calories again as a pot of Greek yogurt

how do they manage that exactly?

Jahan · 03/09/2008 10:07

They probably use skimmed milk?
I remember getting a low fat yoghurt once and looking at the ingredients. I think it had water added and so they added gelatine too to get it to set. Yuck.
Never have diet food. Its always rubbish and has sweeteners added (which are bad for you)

I had a good day food wise yesterday but didn't do any exercise. I'll either go to the gym tonight or do a dvd at home.

Cappuccino · 03/09/2008 10:13

no Jahan the shapers one was MORE calories

I got the regular one because it was less

Jahan · 03/09/2008 10:50

Oh sorry.
Thats ridiculous. Its all a big con anyway

Piffle · 03/09/2008 12:44

0% fat total yoghurt pots are fabulous with tinned berries or a compote yummy
Well making spinach egg frittata and salad for lunch
Yummy on my Tummy!!

Losing about 300-600grams a day here this week!
Angelic indeed!!!

VictorianSqualor · 03/09/2008 12:59
Sputnik · 03/09/2008 13:45

Tried a 0% total once and wasn't impressed, but maybe I'll have another go with some berries. I love greek yogurt.

Very Piffle, but well done. I would be happy with any kind of loss this week, after last saturday's weigh in debacle.

Piffle · 03/09/2008 14:11

I use total to make minted yoghurt dip for kofta meatballs or falafel or use in wraps etc

I'm really focussed as needed to stop drinking. Plus the boob reduction plus the wedding in oz (paradise white sanded beach =swimsuit )

Calorie counting has shocked me as some nights was putting away half entire daily cals in beer

I eat healthily by nature as am Hyperglycaemic so follow GI principles plus am a lover of cooking from scratch so find it easier. I don't have asweet tooth BUT that said have downed an entire box of meringue nests and halfpint whipping cream with PMT before now
I find it easier to have none than a little bit tis the same with booze I think.

Right psychoanalysis over...
Off to wake delish ds2 up

Jahan · 03/09/2008 15:08

There is a virtually fat free organic yoghurt - I can't remember if its Rachels or Yeo Valley - in vanilla flavour and its delicious!
Tastes like something really indulgent.

Jahan · 03/09/2008 15:43

Can someone please tell me to stop eating!

I'm so tired (thanks to the baby waking up loads for the past 3 nights) and find it really hard to not eat. I feel like I need energy fixes.

Today I've had;

porridge - 195 cals
banana - 100
yoghurt - 98
muesli - 100
quorn burger - 136
slice bread & cheese - 200
orange juice - 80

Argh! That means I've got about 250 cals left for dinner.
It looks like some exercise and an early night for me!

Piffle · 03/09/2008 16:30

ds2 woke last night and it has really zonked me. Housework only today for me!
Shredded wheat and milk 220cals
Spinach frittata salad smoked salmon 300
Pork fillet broccoli potatoes 450cals

Dried mango and nuts 50cals
Pear and orange 80cals

eaten loads though very undiet diet today!!

Piffle · 03/09/2008 16:35

just recalculated dinner is only 325 cals
I might haves bikkie!

Sputnik · 03/09/2008 17:46

Tiredness is my weak point too. It's really hard with babies isn't it. In the past when I've slipped up it's always been when DS has been ill and didn't sleep well. Don't be too hard on yourself, early night sounds like a good idea.

Piffle · 03/09/2008 18:22

ah yes bit think dp has high hopes of physical intimacy tonight. How many cals does that burn off?

Right must attend to the children!

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/09/2008 18:30

Food OK today - day 3 and last day of hard core low carbing before I get back to normal low carb eating.

Really struggling with the desire for a glass of wine though!

I'm supposed to be alcohol free all month and it's only day 3!

Imnotok · 03/09/2008 18:38

Can I join please? I need to lose about two stone .I started running two weeks ago and it is going well ....but I keep snacking all --day== in the evening.
Maybe some moral support will be a boost
