Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

How many eggs? They are about 70 cals each I think. You can probably discount the veg calories wise, unless it had potatoes. How much fat for cooking it?

Cappuccino · 05/09/2008 13:13

well this is the thing. I bought it from a shop

BecauseImWorthIt · 05/09/2008 13:14

Large eggs are 100 cals each

If this is of any help at all!

Sputnik · 05/09/2008 14:43

If it was largish then probably 2 eggs.

MissVictoriaNSqualor · 05/09/2008 14:46

The only exercise I've done this week is rocking quietly at about 5am every morning begging DS2 to sleep for at least an hour so I can get a kip before the other kids wake up.

Does not being asleep burn calories? Tell me it does, please.

Piffle · 05/09/2008 16:50

the shame of it
I buy waitrose falafelbites and bake them!!!
Use mint yoghurt sauce and chili jam plus salad and a wrap or pitta
Tis yum
List ongreidents of frittata or use fitday custom food option to workit out
Dull but good info!

Good thing bout falafel is it's really filling

Hobnobfanatic · 06/09/2008 08:24

Oh deary, deary me.
I've put on three pounds! Am now 10 st 10.
Pants.

Two meals out this week, plus some consolation cake when PFB started school this week. And the weather has meant my walking hasn't been so good (though I did do a 6.5-miler on THurs).

Oh well - a strict week ahead.

Slouchy · 06/09/2008 08:30

well I am heavier than I was before the booty-sheiking began {shame }.

I am going on hols in 6 weeks, I need to look better in a cozzy. Dh has returned to Dubai and I am back at work so sensible eating routine should be possible.

I am so peeved with myself. Will let you all know when I hit 11st0 again (where I was when we started), then post losses as normal.

Well done to people who have lost - you can inspire the rest of us.

sagacious · 06/09/2008 08:39

Joined a gym yesterday
Haven't done any actual exercise but am £100 pounds lighter.

Decided to celebrate being so good.
I appear to have drunk 8 cans of Fosters

That is Not Good

LisaLessLumpy · 06/09/2008 11:31

I have lost 2lb this week, woohoo and that is without any exercise I am spurred on now to be good this week again too, well after todays wedding that is Will also be starting the exercise this week too. I am now only 1 pound off losing two stone since Jan, its been a hard slog but at least I/m heading in the right direction.

Sputnik · 06/09/2008 11:37

Well I have lost the grand total of 400g this week, so not quite a lb. Not great, and considering I gained 200g last week that's only 200g in 2 weeks.

However I have been exercising like crazy in the last 2 weeks, I look better and clothes are a bit looser, so hopefully I have gained some muscle. Will measure myself later next week, when I will have been using fitday for a month.

Sputnik · 06/09/2008 11:41

Well done LLL

LisaLessLumpy · 07/09/2008 10:47

Thanks sputnik

Totally blew it last night though, drank far too much and I#'m feeling rather the worse for wear this morning Mind you I did do lots of dancing so that would have burnt off a few glasses of wine

Piffle · 07/09/2008 12:30

4.5 cans of Stella dammit
Todaynew leaf new resolve
Um

PinkButterfly · 07/09/2008 13:33

Hello all - well done on your losses LLL and Sputnik. How has everyone else done ? Sat posting has gone all quiet.

Sputnik - "Sexual activity, active, vigorous effort" only burns 14 calories per 10 minutes? ?. Hilarious

I have been running around mad all week sorting out ds2's birthday ? family gathering during the week and full on themed party yesterday. So that and joining Scottish Slimmers has been really good for me - didn't manage any exercise at all but have been very very good with eating and drinking my water and also been very strict with my alcohol intake - so pretty much sticking to my plan..... and have lost....another 5lbs which brings my total loss so far to 11lb!!!!! Well chuffed and fitting into loads of lovely stuff that I haven't been able to since I was pg with dc3 (2 years ago). Still another 7lbs to go but think now that I am actually fitting into the clothes I wanted to for my holiday I will be able to stay motivated, just need to add in the exercise ? where do the hours every day go????? Also got all my hair cut off on Friday so I really do look and feel so different from just two months ago.

Good luck to us all for this week!

Piffle · 07/09/2008 19:58

I think cos so many of us are weekend slackers we avoid thethread in shame
Well I do!

Back to serious calorie watching tomorrow have been ok today
Hopefully small amount of damage only have avoided scales in fear.
Have lost nearly 2kgs in 2 weeks and trousers that didn't fit last month now fit me which is good news.

2 more to go ;)

Jahan · 07/09/2008 21:38

Stayed the same.
Weekend was not good. I have had a total choc and cake binge. I just couldn't stop eating it. It conincides with 3 sleepless nights again. I really just eat if I'm tired.

I am going to bed at 10 tonight and am going to be extra good this week.

Well donefor the losses though I am very impressed with PinkButterfly! Thats a fantastic loss! Well done.

And well done Lisa too. I am 4lbs away from a 2-stone-since-Jan loss. I am going to aim for the 2 stone loss by the end of next week

Sputnik · 08/09/2008 13:11

Well done PB
I didn't exacty slack at the weekend but had an ice cream and glass of wine, and took a break from exercise.

Feeling tired too as I can't seem to get to bed early, then the baby wakes at 6. I know where you're coming from Jahan, tiredness is a killer. Anyway, forced myself to exercise this morning and feel better for it.

Where is our Dear Leader? She is supposed to be kicking ass

Piffle · 08/09/2008 18:38

I tried today
Lapsed with 3 choc bikkies at friends today then had leftover bean chili (healthy low fat) with half packet or corn chips (not healthy 200 cals eeks) plus sour cream guacamole and salsa (healthy)
Only had teaspoons of guac and sour cream and have eaten only that and shreededwheat for brekkie

Then baked not fried v healthy fishcakes for dinner with salad and few new potatoes.
Need to get walking again tomorrow (weather shiteous)
Popped out with dp for light snack last night as we'd had family over (nachos hence leftovers)
I had pate starter size and pint of guinnes
Dp had cheeseburger and chips he is having vasectomy tomorrow so am leaving him be.

Right having confessed my calorific sins
K need to put kids to bed

Slouchy · 08/09/2008 18:41

Pink Butterfly - wow, well done!

Piffle - well you will be able to get into plenty of 14cal per 10min exercise once dh recovers (fnar, fnar )

As for me and my progress.....

nah, I'm saying nuffink.

Piffle · 08/09/2008 19:23

yes waiting on him hand and foot will burn more calories
Ammaking him stunning lamb curry tomorrow
Not sure how low cal I can make it, will use lean meat and tiny oil so not bad as make from scratch
Will serve with salad and small serving of rice
If breakfast and lunch are very good tomorrow we can get away with it!
Everyone reporting losses
Bloody well done!!

Jahan · 09/09/2008 09:35

Good day yesterday. I stuck to my cals and went for a long walk in the morning AND went to the gym in the eve
I'm back on track!

Ds2 slept well last night and only got up once so I feel a bit better. I think I need a couple of more nights like that and I'll feel better and look less haggard! (those dark circles around the eyes are not a good look!)

I've been making lots of soup. Today we've got butternut squash soup.

mmm stunning lamb curry sounds yum, Piffle.

StormInanEcup - the average weight gain for a woman on holiday is 7lbs, so you did well!

I've done OK on the food front (although we did go for a Chinese on Sunday and I wasn't as vigilant as I should have been), but I didn't manage to be alcohol-free for the whole week, so I'm a bit cross with myself about that.

I've also failed on the exercise front, so I'm going to go swimming today and pick up a new timetable for classes at the gym.

I have postponed my first weighing until the end of the week. I've lost a little - I can tell because my jeans aren't quite as tight! - but would like to know that the scales aren't going to sneer at me when I next get on them!

Well done to all those with more will power than me
