Happy September Everyone!

We made it through the heatwaves and summer holidays!
I am so ready for the cooler weather, the start of Autumn and to get back into routine!

I wonder how many steps we can all do in September ?
Let's go!!!

I'm in, having not had the chance to walk much over the summer holiday. Back to work today and looking forward to getting back into routine.

Onegramatatime · 01/09/2026 10:36

Well done @husbandcallsmepickle 🥳

Lots of driving today for work, got home and intended to go for a walk, then my eldest asked me to help her with her lego set and then I was all consumed trying to finish it!

Evening all. 13,870 steps today. Feel I may have peaked too early 😁, I have form for putting all my effort into the first day and then tailing off.
@10kstepsaday thanks for the shiny new thread.
@WorthySloth tomorrows another day.
Hello to all the new people.

Clearingaspace · 01/09/2026 22:45

Thanks for the new thread @10kstepsaday

7158 today but that doesn’t include after work decorating! Planning to have a break from decorating for a while so hopefully back to 10 k steps later this week!

Onegramatatime · 02/09/2026 06:17

Hi, everyone.
Welcome to our new joiners.

Yesterday, 7528 steps.
I hope to get back to my steps and to working out this month. My aim is toning and body recomposition.
Weight is doing okay, maybe not for long because my diet has taken a backward step. My water intake has taken several backward steps. These will improve if i can just make space for getting active again.

WorthySloth · 02/09/2026 10:07

Ended yesterday at 5275 because I went out to our local music venue for a couple of hours of jam night.

At work today and will be mostly driving. Ag well I’m away at the weekend so there will be lots of walking and dancing to go with the drinking 🤣🤣

Littlegreywolfcub · 02/09/2026 15:12

Hello all - saw this thread yesterday and did 15k steps while waiting for car to be done in garage!

Feels like a good way to start the autumn season. Have done 10.1k today...onwards and hopefully keep it up

Clearingaspace · 02/09/2026 20:57

Well done @Littlegreywolfcub 15k in one go!

@Onegramatatime i have backslid on diet and exercise too I think I need some kind of new plan to get me back on track as feeling unmotivated.

I have done 12845 today

Bringmebacktothe90s · 02/09/2026 21:09

11,472 steps today. Also went to the gym and added in some weights.

husbandcallsmepickle · 02/09/2026 21:19

10699 steps today, hopefully it'll be more tomorrow

WorthySloth · 02/09/2026 21:47

5172 today. Was with a client who isn’t very mobile. I have him again tomorrow. Not the start I was hoping for this month 😭😭

10kstepsaday · 02/09/2026 23:48

Well done everyone!
8.7k for me today, and the kids finally go back to school tomorrow!!

Managed 11,400 steps today, that's the good news. The bad news is I've eaten my body weight in Tony's chocolate. 😠
@WorthySloth you really are a raver aren't you! Music, music music. Love it!
@Onegramatatime @Clearingaspace all my good work on the vegetable front has disappeared. I'll join you on a diet reset. I'm feeling sick after all that chocolate.

Onegramatatime · 03/09/2026 06:44

6397 steps yesterday.

@Clearingaspace & @Joolly2 , you are both doing marvellouslly with your steps. Yes, a diet reset is definitely dearly needed. Yesterday, my aim was to focus on eating more protein. Today, i will keep the aim the same.

I will also aim not to have less than 6400 steps today.

Out of envy and a bit of curiosity & 'long-throat' (heard that term from a friend & loved it), Joolly2 what flavour of chocolate was it. They have loads.

LunchtimeIllusion · 03/09/2026 07:32

Hi all, joining in as I need to get moving a bit more. Just had a look and pleasantly surprised to see I did 8,417 yesterday, but I suspect some of that was playing the piano. I’ve got a day full of meetings in the office today so will need to get moving this evening.

WorthySloth · 03/09/2026 10:48

@Joolly2 I have a ska band Saturday afternoon a Florence and the Machine tribute Saturday night and a metal band on Sunday night 😊 might squeeze in a pub band on Sunday afternoon as well with my roast 🤣🤣

Joolly2 · 03/09/2026 19:59

@Onegramatatime I've only just found Tony's, I've tried milk caramel and sea salt, and the milk one. So pleased to have found chocolate without the dreaded palm oil. Damn, I want some now.
@WorthySloth wow, just wow. You really do pack the bands in don't you. What's been the best band/group you've seen?
@10kstepsaday how did it go today without the children?

Almost exactly the same steps as yesterday.11,343

WorthySloth · 03/09/2026 20:52

Hard to say the best band. My actual favourite band is Skindred a Welsh reggae/ragga/metal band who are really good fun. I love the small bands I see in sweaty venues as well as big bands in big venues.

one of the best I’ve seen was simply red last year. I cried it was so good.

my first ever gig was Fleetwood Mac in 1988 so I started well 🤣🤣
