Happy September Everyone!

We made it through the heatwaves and summer holidays!
I am so ready for the cooler weather, the start of Autumn and to get back into routine!

I wonder how many steps we can all do in September ?
Let's go!!!

Evening all, was a few k short of 10,000 so had to send myself on a couple of fools errands. I posted a letter, but not in the first or second postbox I walked to one a mile away!! Then checked the garden several time incase my dog had left any presents. He hadn't. It was worth it, my total is now 10,288. 😀
@Onegramatatime love your description of Autumn.
Have a good weekend everyone.

@LunchtimeIllusion I haven't tried a walking pad but it is on my wishlist and has been for ages! I have one of those desks you can adjust to work standing up too so just need to go ahead and get on to add some steps in when I'm working!

7.5K for me today!
Started reading a book about running, making me wants to start running again! I'm not a natural runner though 🤣 find it v hard. Whereas DH can just go for a 10k run decent pace easy peasy, even if he's not run for months and months.

Evening all, made it to 10,071 steps today. Had plans to do some exercise and extra walking but, granddaughter needed help with a sewing project so exercise and walking went out the window. Sewing project is sitting on my sewing room floor ready to continue tomorrow, so I'm guessing steps will be a struggle tomorrow. 😀
@10kstepsaday jogging and running have never been a feature in my life. I would need a bra with scaffolding built in, just to attempt to run for a bus.
@LunchtimeIllusion I'm another who would like to try a walking pad.

Hi everyone, sorry have been missing in action for a month 🫣. It sounds like everyone has been doing brilliantly! I will check my stats for September so far and report back. I have been doing Couch to 5k training and very slowly getting back into running. It’s so hard! Why didn’t I appreciate my fit healthy body when I was in my twenties? Running in your fifties with low energy is a whole different experience! Anyhoo, just wanted to say that Parkrun is great if you want to get out and walk - many places have Parkwalkers too (look out for the pink T-shirts) and there’s always a tailwalker so you are never last.

8894 yesterday but I’ve already done over 4k this morning and I’m not out of bed yet 🤣🤣 went to a club last night and was dancing then I got cheesy chips on my way home

Btw @Unfollowmethen is right about parkrun 😁 I’m one of the RDs at our local one. We love walkers. It’s a fantastic community well worth getting involved in.

Well done for volunteering @WorthySloth I can only imagine how much hard work goes into making these events happen every week. I love Parkrun - whether you run, walk or a bit of both, it’s such a great way to start the weekend.
