Happy September Everyone!

We made it through the heatwaves and summer holidays!
I am so ready for the cooler weather, the start of Autumn and to get back into routine!

I wonder how many steps we can all do in September ?
Let's go!!!

Evening all. My missing totals are :-
Sunday - 4,792, I knew it would be bad but that was shocking. Spent day helping granddaughter with a sewing project. So cross I lost my streak.
Monday - 10,441
Tuesday - 10,987
Wednesday - 10, 710
@husbandcallsmepickle sounds like life is throwing everything at you at the moment. So congratulations on your steps.
@WorthySloth where on earth do you get your energy from? I can't believe how much you pack into a week. Makes for exhausting reading. 😀

WorthySloth · 17/09/2026 06:21

8957 yesterday in the end. 2 hours on a boat and then about the same on the bus contributed to that 🤣🤣

had a lovely time looking for sea glass 💕

anyway today I am off to Cardiff with the husband and son for a gig coming back on Saturday. Should get some decent steps in over the next couple of days 🤞

10kstepsaday · 17/09/2026 07:38

@husbandcallsmepickle make sure you look after yourself 💖 I can relate somewhat, I also have a 5 yo and my DH has suffered very badly with his MH this year, sometimes if you are holding the fort for everyone else looking after yourself takes a back seat ☹️

Sorry @husbandcallsmepickle just seen your post. Lots of love from me and echo the take care of you comments. My eldest child had severe mental health issues about 20 years ago now when she was in her teens. Multiple severe self harm incidents hospital stays long term etc. it was hell. Same time my brother was dying from cancer and my favourite aunt died unexpectedly plus I was pregnant and had toddlers. I almost had a breakdown and then I realised that I had to be selfish and look after me or I couldn’t help anyone else. It felt unnatural but was the only way I got through it all. A ramble there but please find something you love and prioritise it. A walk with music on is always a favourite for me or meeting a friend for a cup of tea.

and stick with this thread. It’s lovely and supportive and not just about steps 💕

WorthySloth · 17/09/2026 17:42

Currently on 7500 and a bit pissed in an Irish bar in Cardiff 🍻have a great day!

Joolly2 · 17/09/2026 23:07

Evening all, so tired so this will be a quick one. Managed 11,449 today. Off to bed before I fall asleep on the sofa (again).

Onegramatatime · 18/09/2026 05:55

Lovely to read everyone's steps.
Mine was 8,709 yesterday.

So sorry @husbandcallsmepickle , to read that life is a bit tough at the moment. Hang in there, hoping things ease up quickly. Hope the walking to get your steps in is giving you some you time to decompress.

@WorthySloth , i admire your energy and will live vicariously through you for now. Have a great time.

Wishing everyone a lovely day.

WorthySloth · 18/09/2026 09:42

Oh no feel better soon @10kstepsaday

wwll done for staying strong on the chips @WorthySloth 😁

oh my gosh @Joolly2 i have been falling asleep on the sofa all week!! What’s going on!

hope you are doing ok @husbandcallsmepickle sounds a lot to deal with. Also perimenopause can do one - I am wondering if next year will be the year i move into menopause 😳 would be a touch early as still in 40s though. Makes me feel a lot older as so many aches and pains!

7924 so far today but probably going to be a bit under 10k
More than 11970 yesterday as my phone lost charge and didn’t count 1000 or so ! 12392 on wed

WorthySloth · 19/09/2026 09:36

10762 yesterday. Not expecting loads today because I’m currently still in bed then we have the drive home

husbandcallsmepickle · 19/09/2026 20:15

Thank you to everyone for their support and kind words, it really meant a lot. I've been a bit tied up with my side hustle over the past few days so haven't updated my steps.
Th: 10972
F: 8931 - a colleague kindly gave me a lift home so I lost about 2000 steps by not walking
Today: 10400
My daily average over the past week is 11100 😀

Joolly2 · 19/09/2026 23:49

Evening all, yesterday I managed 10,500 steps and today's total is 13,152. Feeling out of sorts the last few day (lazy), so need to pull myself together. Must try to limit the after lunch snooze, it's getting longer and longer, I'm not getting anything done.
@husbandcallsmepickle you are doing great.
@10kstepsaday hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.
@Clearingaspace what is with all this sleep? I think it started with all the really hot weather. Doing even the slightest thing was exhausting, sleep was the only relief. Now the weather is more bareable I can't break the habit. Help! I'm sleeping my life away.

WorthySloth · 20/09/2026 09:07

7391 yesterday in the end. Happy with that my monthly average is still just over 10k.

Clearingaspace · 20/09/2026 11:11

@Joolly2 - I watched a random YouTube doctor yesterday who said women need 9 - 10 hours of sleep a day! Not sure I believe it but maybe that’s why we both need a nap! do you think maybe a deficiency could be part of your current tiredness - possibly your vitamin d needs a boost if you weren’t in the sun as much over the summer?

13303 yesterday

well done @WorthySloth !!

Joolly2 · 21/09/2026 19:00

Yesterday's total was 7524. Today is 10,103 so far.

@Clearingaspace I think you may be on to something. I spent most of the summer hiding in the house with the curtains closed. So I could easily be a bit deficient in vit D. I'm also wondering about iron. My diet has been appalling for months now. I'm going to put Floradix on my shopping list. I already have vit D in the house. I'm also guilty of not sleeping enough at night.

husbandcallsmepickle · 21/09/2026 20:16

10277 yesterday and 11650 today
Well done everyone for your totals

WorthySloth · 21/09/2026 21:16

9120 today on a work holiday so not sure how much I will manage tomorrow. Yesterday was dire 😭😭 4304 😭😭

monthly average is still over 10k tho

10kstepsaday · 22/09/2026 21:50

Well done everyone!!
I am feeling much better now, bloody horrible cold!
Yesterday my steps were 8.7, today 10.3k 👍🏻

OP posts:
Joolly2 · 22/09/2026 23:12

Evening all, pleased to report 12,211 steps today. Also managed an hours badminton.
@10kstepsaday so pleased you are over your cold. Onwards and upwards now 😀.
@Clearingaspace floradix purchased, vit D at the ready, going to start tomorrow. I'll review after a month and see if it makes any difference. Do you think a month is going to be long enough?

Clearingaspace · 22/09/2026 23:30

@Joolly2 fingers crossed it all gives you an energy boost. I have had low vitamin d before and supplements made a difference pretty quickly. However the pharmacist did give me a high dose one so might take a bit longer for a lower dose.

well done @10kstepsaday @husbandcallsmepickle and @WorthySloth

my steps were 12,249 today and 13,104 yesterday

husbandcallsmepickle · 23/09/2026 06:51

I'm on a roll: 12737 yesterday 😀

WorthySloth · 23/09/2026 07:56

6456 yesterday. Considering who I am working with that’s pretty decent. Probably be similar today. Having a good time tho

husbandcallsmepickle · 23/09/2026 20:49

14080 today! Smashing it and feeling great!

Joolly2 · 23/09/2026 21:53

Evening everyone, managed 10,264. Made a lentil cottage pie and a banana cake with the dead bananas. So unlike me, I hate cooking, but I thought it would stop me having a nap 😀. It worked but I can't be doing that every day.
@husbandcallsmepickle great step count.
@WorthySloth I love your positivity, you always find something to be happy about. I think your clients are lucky to have you.
