Good for you Loobz!

Evesmama · 02/02/2005 21:13

hi everyone, hope everyones had a nice day

mammya · 02/02/2005 22:00

Hello everyone, I've had my second weigh in today and lost 2lbs! I'm so pleased, especially as I've been quite naughty this weekend.

Evesmama · 02/02/2005 22:01

well done mammya
how did you do on your first week? and what are you doing to lose it(sorry if youve already done this)

miam · 03/02/2005 05:04

Hi people. Have a touch of insomnia so thought I would put it to good use and catch up. Well done Mars - 1lb is brilliant! Just think how much a bag of sugar weighs, it is a substantial loss. And you too mammya - 2 bags of sugar wahey! Hi Loobz - welcome to what someone earlier called 'The Losers Club' in the nicest possible way ofcourse . Hope you get on well at your weigh-in today.

I have had a good few days - lots of exercise too which is great. I was at Salsa again last night and my mum (who has lost over 2st) came with us! She was brilliant. She is in her mid 60s and has had a new lease of life because of losing weight - infact she cycled to my house yesterday wearing her first pair of trousers!! Yesterday was a day for firsts I think. I went shopping for a new pair of jeans as mine were a size 16 and for the past few months have been gathered in at the waist by a belt to stop them falling down. So decided to buy some more. Took in a few 14s and a 12, in hopefulness, to the fitting room. Tried the 12 first to see how much longer I had to go before I could own a pair and to my absolute amazement found they fitted!! Tried on a few and bought a beautiful pair and wore them to salsa. Only, they are a bit loose but the thought never occurred to me at the time of buying them to get a 10!!!!!! Unheard of!!!!!!!!! A word of warning though - losing weight can seriously damage your budget. I also couldnt resist buying two gorgeous tops too.... spent a fortune. Hope you all have a great day today - I'll be at work today and at art class on Friday, but will look in on Friday evening at some point. Be good everyone, and as Rosemary Conley says, 'Nothing tastes as good as losing weight feels'. So, so true. xxx

I've got my weigh in this morning. I read on a thread that someone had a shower and lost 2lbs, so i've just had one!! Hope it works! I'm not sure how i'll have done this week, don't think i'll have lost much! Fingers crossed, and i'll be back on later.

coppertop · 03/02/2005 09:35

I'm really at the thought of fitting into a size 12. Well done!

I've had a pretty bad week really. We've had 2 family birthdays since my weigh-in last week and I gave in to the temptation of birthday lunches and birthday cake. I weighed myself this morning and have still lost 1lb so I'm over-the-moon. I was sure I'd put weight on. Maybe I've accidentally discovered a new weightloss regime - The Birthday Cake Diet!

Fennel · 03/02/2005 09:41

Miam - that's very encouraging . my new trousers are also too loose after only 2 weeks but like you I cannot imagine being a smaller size really. (I'm 5'7 and now a 14 but don't really expect to ever be a 12, it just doesn't seem me if that makes any sense).

coppertop - "eat cake and lose a pound a week" sounds like my sort of diet!

I've lost another pound today! that's 3 this week. not sure why as have not been particularly restrained.

Evesmama · 03/02/2005 14:19

WELL DONE MIAM

and ill do that cake diet

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 03/02/2005 14:38

Well done girls. Fantastic to hear about your losses. Size 10! that was a long time ago. I vaguely remember being a perfect size 12. Ah the dim and distant pre-children past...

Keep up the good work (eat a cake...yummy, must try that one)

it is too long since i have had a bit of cake ...
i have had an ok week, think i had water retention earlier in the week so hopeful tomorrow morning that there will be good news, find it much easier post ds dieting as never have time to eat anything life so hectic work the same really stressie and busy so keeps me out of danger at least.. though did have a chocolate today as some in the office, congratulations to everyone and keep going as someone on here said it does seem to be working

Loobz · 03/02/2005 19:45

Just been weighed and lost half a pound - very pleased cos I thought I'd gained! Back on track properly now - have just had an omlette for tea and really enjoyed it. My friend lost half a stone in a fortnight and has just put it all back on in a week. Was quite difficult tonight cos she was in the depths of despair and I was quite pleased to have lost anything. Tried to give her a bit of a pep talk - hope it works for her.

marj · 03/02/2005 21:12

I am going way off my plan at the minute. Have had a couple of really good weeks with good weight losses, but my head is just not in it at all this week.
I have eaten loads of stuff I shouldnt and am dreading weigh in on Saturday.
Feel a bit crap really as everyone else seems to be doing well. I know it should only be a temporary setback, but am feeling sorry for myself at the moment. Any words of wisdom?

canuckmom · 03/02/2005 22:12

Hi,I'm new, can I join in. 200lb since birth of son four years ago, have been doing low-carb, lost 50 lbs, have just eaten half a box of cookies! BAD ME!

That's 50 pounds over 4 years (no tiara and roses for me) and I am down to 200 pounds. I blame the wine really, I can never stick to a diet, cause you can't really have wine. This is a problem, I'm afraid.

marj

the bad stuff is the past. From now you will only do the good stuff to keep you on your diet. You can and will lose weight. So, no more sorrow, just positive thoughts and actions, ok? Good girl

canuckmom · 03/02/2005 22:52

I have thought of joining something, but we are always tight with the budget, so I've been doing The Zone. But it's so time consuming, and it's so easy to cheat with a toddler and a teenager in the house. Not to mention my thin husband that can eat two chocolate bars in a row, while I sit there drooling, and secretly wanting to inject him with my fat!!!!

pinksofa · 04/02/2005 08:45

hi all lost a pound this week so really pleased, hope you are all doing good,
