hey monkey girl and wwb..how've you both been?

miam · 31/01/2005 20:11

Well, my sister and I went to our first weigh-in tonight and...........

WE BOTH LOST 5LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So pleased - we both got 'Slimmer of the week' awards too which will be proudly displayed on my fridge for a long time to come! Really amazed because I have been dieting for a while now. My total loss is now 2st 8lbs - only just realised today. And that is thanks to you all on here - cannot thank you all enough. xx

Evesmama · 31/01/2005 20:22

WELL DONE MIAM
thats fantastic

miam · 31/01/2005 20:24

Thanks Evesmama. I know [gloating emoticon]. Oops, better stop being so big-headed - it will probably make me weigh more! How's the abscess? Poor you.

Fennel · 31/01/2005 20:24

MIAM that's great.

haven't been around as i've been away for a few days. I haven't lost any more weight this last week but am definitely thinner lately in terms of trousers being looser. despite no change on the scales.

miam · 31/01/2005 20:28

Thanks Fennel . Yes, I have missed you being around! Isn't it weird how you the scales show no weight loss but the inches have reduced? I always measure myself now - I've lost 14cm this week! Good for you for still going. Everyone seems to be doing really well at the moment - it is great.

Evesmama · 31/01/2005 20:29

you deserve to gloat hun, you did good
abcess is killing me(yes i am a dram queen!)
just sneezed twice and was rather painful!. feel sick with it too and it hurts my jaw to move so ive only had 1/2 slice toast and a jacket spud with bit o cheese today..so good start to week slimming wise

Fennel · 31/01/2005 20:35

hi MIAM!

I bet if I met you I would be one of those saying you don't need to diet though - you do sound slim by my standards!

Evesmama · 31/01/2005 20:46

how longs it taken you to lose than miam?, thats a really good loss 2st 8lb, do you want/need to lose much more?(sorry dont mean to be cheeky)

3 stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELL DONE
how long to do that????

miam · 31/01/2005 20:58

Well done Yorkie!! Isn't it a fab feeling?? How much have you lost now - you are doing great.

Evesmama - I could talk about my weight all day every day (and seem to from the looks of my posts on these threads so ask away!! It has taken quite a while, probably just over a year. I lost a stone initially then stuck at that weight for ages, then joined here (the reason I joined mn actually) and messed around for a while before finally getting my act together about 4 months ago and lost the other 1 1/2 stone. I would like to get down to about 8st 2 I think so still have another stone and 5lbs to go. I've really upped my exercise levels to keep the weight loss going. lol at being a 'dram' queen - is that to dull the pain??

Ah but Fennel - I doubt you would be seeing me in the nuddy!! Not a pretty sight!!

Evesmama · 31/01/2005 21:02

at 'dram'
yeah, sat soaking cotton wool with it and padding my jaw out with it!(did anyone elses parent used to do this with whisky???or just my warped childhood again!!)
thats a really good loss in a good time, too fast and your more at risk of putting back on, this way your bodies got used to it youre doing so well

Yeah, yeah - I believe you that it is only medicinal!! Your secret is safe with me! My mother is completely against alcohol - especially women drinking, so it was never in the house. Probably why I like it so much now - rebellious to the core!

Yorkie - is that 3st and 1lb now? Amazing. How long has it taken you?

miam · 31/01/2005 21:06

Oops crossed post! So brilliant Yorkie - how much more are you planning to lose?

Evesmama · 31/01/2005 21:08

its making me feel ill, so have hardly eat today!!!, i know thats not the way...put i wont starve..ive got plenty of 'meat on my bones' as my dear departed grandads would say

oh no, dya think ill have to have my tooth out???is it because the tooth/underneath gets infected???thankfully if thats the case, its toward the back, but dont fancy aving a big gap

and just think youve already lost more than youve got to lose(IYSWIM), so you know you can do it

miam · 31/01/2005 21:11

That's really sensible. You will only know nearer the time whether you want to lose more or not. You may find that you are more than happy to stay at your 'round' figure (which is what you certainly will not have!!! lol). By the way, keep meaning to say thanks to you for all the time and effort you must put into keeping track of all the weight losses - it does not go unappreciated.
