i know, its a big help isnt it....fel comfortable, didnt think i would and wouldnt disclose my weight at first, but yorkie was great and i feel so much better having people in the same boat

Have just fallen out with dh cos of the football - he's a tosser! Not going to eat, going to follow Trefusis's advice and going to saok in bath then waft off to bed feeling saintly while giving dh the silent treatment! That might teach him not to say that women know nothing about football
On a serious note I think I will try to do the plan myself with all of your halp and support - wish me luck!!!

I am in positive mood as 2lb off this week . like MIAM I am now at the top end of recommended weight for my height - but want to be in the middle of it so still got 13lb to go.

it is a good feeling yes. now I feel ok with clothes on . but would also like to feel ok in a swimming costume - a harder task. We have booked 2 weeks at the beach in Spain at easter (with very skinny spanish friends), so will have to expose my body then - there's an incentive to shape up.

Okay. I've lost 1lb. Not the 2 that I was hoping for but at least it is another 1 off . So, need to think about what I can change to get to the 2lb off mark. I'm very happy though because it is coming off slowly and steadily and hopefully it will stay off. I have to say, I can't cheat as much as I would like because I have committed to signing in on this thread. Just what I need to keep me going.

Well done MTMML! I am hoping for a pound at the very best this week as have really gone off the rails. Its definitely better to lose slowly (apparently anyway.)
Have got a few more days til weigh in so am trying to be extra good from now on.

I do think slow but steady is a good approach, in the end your eating-and-lifestyle habits have to be sustainable to keep the weight stable.

anyway, fast loss in the past only led to even faster gain for me, way back in my teenage starve-and-binge diets.

I'm trying really hard not to eat between meals, unless it's fruit or veg (peppers, carrots etc). I'm also trying to end the day feeling just a tiny bit hungry. You know when you have that moment thinking I could just nibble.... Well, I'm trying to ignore it and drink water instead. However, I did treat myself to a bit a chocolate today. It was funny though, because I'm doing NoCount and have to stop when I'm full, I found that I couldn't eat all of it. It seems I'm recognising the full signals. Thank you for your support ladies. I've not really told anyone in RL (apart from BF) that I'm on a diet, because last time every time I put something in my mouth some bright spark commented on it. So, a slow gentle march towards super svelte me

I dont blame you not telling anyone. I have had that before. You dare to taste some chocolate and someone makes a comment like "should you be eating that" or "I thought you were on a diet."
The only thing that keeps me going is the fact that I can have things I like too.

yes, it's about 17 years since I was on an official "diet" and my mum still serves roast potatoes with an aside to me "I've done some boiled ones for us"...grr

Good evening ladies. In a much more positive frame of mind today Getting weighed tomorrow and if I've gained (which I think I may have) then I'm just going to face up to it and get back on track again. My friend is in the same boat as me so we're planning to try to keep each other motivated. Got my hair cut and coloured today so feel better about that - back to being a redhead again (to match my temper says dh, especially after my tantrums last night - ) Going off to ahve a bath and pamper myself a bit now!
