Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Optimistic October & 12 Week Countdown to Christmas⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Clocks have now gone back and the nights are drawing in, Halloween is done and dusted and Bonfire Night is in a few days 😮. Meaning one thing! Christmas and all its festivities are arriving next month 😮🎄🥳

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showed 9st 4lb yesterday)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

PS - This thread will take us up to the New Year 2026 & the thread will be January 2026🥳

1 teeny pound to lose to hit my target but with a week of festivities it might be best to regroup next week 🎄

Emmadaily · 02/12/2025 19:58

@TheWayTheLightFalls
Hi I'm sorry to hear that you are having a worrying time . Really hoping that all goes well for you and you get some good news very soon xx
@FridayNighFeeling
Hi I foĺow the slimming world plan tho last two weeks I have had more syns to see how it goes and pleased I didn't gain .
Yesterday I probably had enough syns to last me a week as went out with my friends for a Christmas meal out .
Ordered 2 courses then decided to have the dessert which was very delicious.
Will see how I go on Saturday tho don't want to start gaining as another 4 weeks yet for Christmas 🤶
Hope everyone is having a good week and not to much temptation is heading your way xx

TheWayTheLightFalls · 03/12/2025 06:22

Morning! WoW is 74.1 - still zigzagging. We had a big meals yesterday evening so that won’t have helped.

Thank you for all the good wishes, not the easiest time here.

Good luck wowers!

biscuitcat · 03/12/2025 07:02

Ugh 2.5lbs up this week 😩 and frankly thoroughly deserved, I’ve had a horrific week food wise as I’ve been so exhausted and have just hit the snacks.

Fellsbells · 03/12/2025 07:06

@TheWayTheLightFalls lots of good wishes for your results

I forgot it was wow. Will do wot.

LemonDrizzle23 · 03/12/2025 07:57

First WOW of December! Can’t believe it.

My body appears to have settled a little bit and I seem to have put on about 1.5lbs during 9 days of illness - rather than 3.5lbs which it was showing me on Monday! Which seemed a little unreasonable! Not sure I’ll make 2 stone off by the end of the year now, but we’ll see.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 13 st 11.2
15%: 13 st 4

Good luck to everyone keeping on weighing through the festive period. 🌲

Gingercar · 03/12/2025 08:56

@TheWayTheLightFalls I’m really sorry to read that you’re having a tough time. Thinking of you.

Gingercar · 03/12/2025 09:03

I’ve had a d+v bug this week, which gave me a 3lb loss, which made up for the discomfort and the 1lb on last week! But 1lb seems to be back today, so I’ll probably have to fight to keep it off. My poor husband, who needs to put weight on not off, lost 16 lbs from the bug.

CinnamonSweet73 · 03/12/2025 09:06

Morning all,

77.7kg here for WOW, so a kg down from last week, I'm pleased with that.

Wishing everyone a good day ❤️

Marshmellowbunny · 03/12/2025 09:22

Morning All,

Lots of losses again which seems crazy considering that the other day we'd all gone up! Well done everybody anyway.

GW: 9.5 stone by December 19th

Officially a stone down 🥳 and 1.8lbs to lose in 16days 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hope you're all well and have a good WOW 🥰

Sukiesue12 · 03/12/2025 09:28

Sukiesue12 · 03/12/2025 09:32

GW2 70kg by July 2026

Just need to keep going

LegoTherapy · 03/12/2025 09:53

Checking in with 8st 6lb this morning. That’s despite Chinese takeaway, shortbread biscuits, and a lot of toast. Ds has had suspected appendicitis and I’ve not kept up to date. Will catch up later.
well done on the losses and keep going for everyone.

FridayNighFeeling · 03/12/2025 12:33

Thinking of you @TheWayTheLightFalls @LegoTherapy and @Gingercar

Hope things are calmer @biscuitcat

Well I was very surprised at WI this morning to have dropped a few more 10ths of a kilogram...so 11.1kg or 24 1/2lbs gone - apparently. I have walked a lot this week so that may be it. Taking it for the win for now and will just keep plodding. Nice thought to have lost more than is left to go.

Good luck for WI and not having to pay @Emmadaily - a delicate balance Wink
You sound a lot chirpier @Marshmellowbunny I hope you are feeling it too.

PersistentRain · 03/12/2025 14:15

I’m in the second week of illness. I had a few days respite and now it’s in my head/stomach. Not been eating much and it’s starting to show on the scales, so now losing the weight I gained when I was sick and eating. Winter is hard for dieting.

WearyAuldWumman · 03/12/2025 14:28

Weight is sticking. Have had issues because of stomach problems and difficulty sorting out diet. (Have had to give up lentil soup and peas as well as cutting back on cabbage. Have been experimenting with lactose free milk instead of oatmilk.) Local gym is still not back to normal, but I've been doing my Pilates and have Senior Flex and Active for Life today.

Found a pair of Windsmoor size 16 dress trousers in the wardrobe whilst decluttering and can get into them. (Yes, Windsmoor was always generously sized.). Also a size 16 quilted jacket that I'd forgotten about. Nice and cosy and was glad of it yesterday.

Marshmellowbunny · 03/12/2025 15:32

Thanks for noticing @FridayNighFeeling

Definitely feeling a lot better than I was and crying less. I still have occasional meltdowns but the fact that they are getting less frequent is a good sign!

I need to just not let it get me down if I don't make goal by the 19th.

My positive vibes has come when everyone is sick though, which sucks. I really hope everyone feels better soon! 🩷

Cheesewhatcheese · 03/12/2025 17:22

Well done on all the losses, and sympathies to all of you struggling with illness / non-losses. It's not a great time of year, is it.

So...I am now bang on 70kg, which was my interim goal to reach by Christmas!! Jiggled the scales a bit to see if it would go down to 69.9, but no. But I'm pleased with that.

SW 73
CW 70
GW 67

Just need to keep it up now - thanks for all the support x

socks1107 · 03/12/2025 18:10

I’ve lost 2lbs this week. Thrilled with that!

SW 13.13
CW 11.1
GW 11stone

will catch up on all the posts later when home!

OliveZebra · 03/12/2025 20:48

sw 11 stone 12
cw 11 stone 6
1lb down this week

GallstoneGertieInTheGarden · 03/12/2025 23:19

Forgot the weigh-in, but can report that I feel brighter in my mind without all the junk and sweet stuff, and my waistband is very slightly slacker.

PersistentRain · 04/12/2025 07:26

So a bit late but have finally lost 0.3kg and am now 81.8kg
My next Happy Scale target is 81.4kg…it thinks I will make that in FEBRUARY!
but hoping to make that in a week if I keep my eating down. Not well enough for the gym so trying to keep my steps up.

Good Morning All ❤️

How can it be the 4th December already 😮. I’m still trying to gear myself up to decorate and put the tree up! My other half says he will help on Sunday so I’m thinking that’s the plan. Christmas movie/music on, festive nibbles and a glass of port and get stuck in 🎄

WOW - 9st 2lbs/maintaining. I did weigh in yesterday but got sidetracked.

Menu
Meal 1 - Cheese & onion omelette. Pecans.
Meal 2 - COD, carrots, pea’s & cauliflower cheese. Greek yoghurt & chia.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee & water.
