Mega mega heifer here signing up for some Coddy discipline. Lost one measly pathetic stone last year which seeing as 8lbs of it was in the first week doesn't say much ! I need to lose 5 more. I'm joining WW on Wednesday and have to survive a bunch of 6 year olds running round my house in their pyjamas for DD's party, without stuffing myself on the food.

WW 's new plan is called No Count. There's a list of food which you don't need to count points for . You have 3 meals a day , only fruit and veg inbetween meals (and dust of course) and then 21 points per week for other snacks and ingredients in meals that aren't on the No Count List. The old points system is now called "Full choice".

iota · 03/01/2005 22:10

Kittypickle - you shouldn't put yourself down - losing a stone is an achievement and you are 16.6666666666666666666666666666666666666% of the way towards your target

WideWebWitch · 03/01/2005 23:33

Coddy, the 'dust' comment was a reference to Marjorie Dawes of Fat Fighters in Little Britain, see her here . Oi, and watch yer typos, I am www, not ww - ww is weightwatchers I think you'll find . Enid, ah, we knew that really didn't we!

Enid · 04/01/2005 08:46

Just back at work and logged on the mumsnet- so will weigh myself tomorrow morning.

Will go without booze until Fri/Sat
No bread at lunchtime
No potoates
Lodza veg/salad

Do I weigh myself every day???

BubblesDeVere · 04/01/2005 10:15

Sonnet · 04/01/2005 10:23

Hi Bubbles - for me it is trying to cut down the amount of carbs I eat - can devour a whole french stick with a bowl of soup - now 2 ryvitas dosn't sound as appealing but I know that it will work!!

codswallop · 04/01/2005 10:23

not good really

OP posts:
Sonnet · 04/01/2005 10:28

Hmm - MADE you....just like a whole tin of roses is sitting on the next desk to me!! - they are trying to make me too...I'm thinking "shorts"and "summer" - am avoiding thinking "Bikini" as that could lead to depression!

Hulababy · 04/01/2005 10:43

I am back on the old WW diet again as of today - oh, and also joined a gym on Sunday to help with the weight loss. DH is dieting with me too.

I have about 2 stone to lose in all, but my first challenge is to be looking healthier and less flabby by the end of January - I have a ball then and want to fit nicely into my black dress.

We are doing WW pooints. Avoiding alcohol other than at weekends (FRiday night, Saturdays) and no snacks.

I tend to do:

breakfast - fruit
lunch - salad with olives (no bread, v. low points)
dinner - a proper meal, but low fat

Only bread we tend to have on diet is the WW bread. But I can't give it up entirely.

gingerbear · 04/01/2005 10:45

ginge reporting in.
Cheated last night as DH opened special bottle of red wine we were given for Christmas.
Back at work and full of resolve.

Porridge with honey
actimel yog
lunch I have forgone the canteen and packed a wholemeal pitta, salad with WW 1/2 point mayo and an apple.

Forgot my litre of water though.

What shall I do with the Sainsury's taste the difference mini mince pies left over?
The sell by date is end of Jan??? Might bring them to work or give them to DH to take to work.

Hulababy · 04/01/2005 10:48

Last Thursday (DH's ;ast day of working until today) he took in to work with him all the left over chocolates (but not DD's), mince pies and cakes. So we had no more temptations in the house.

iota · 04/01/2005 10:52

hiya all

I had weetabix for breakfast and will have homemade veg soup for lunch. Gingerbear - have just chucked a mince pie in the bin to avoid temptation - also chucked the toast and marmite that the ds's didn't eat for breakfast.

I'm soooo smug

codswallop · 04/01/2005 11:04

well done all

I have my induction in the gym today - at 2:30pm. Also I am asking about an induction for the Climbing Wall there too. And we already went swimming on Sunday and Monday. I am rubbish at swimming - very weak and useless really, but I did manage to do 10 lengths both times. Which for me is a real achievement!

codswallop · 04/01/2005 11:10

but hula do you have to wear a bum harness otn eh climbing wall?
