gingerbear - yes 18 points is my full allowance, but I try and stick to 14 during the week, saving 4 points a day to go towards a weekend treat and some wine. As I don't eat meat TBH it isn't that hard to do.

Oh and the gym. We have just joined the Virgin Acrtive club here. I went after work tonight. Kind of killed me as it is the prison day so I am up at 6:15am. Got to gym at about 5:45pm so not too bad. DH collects DD from nursery on a Thursday and takes her home.

I will also go to gym once at the weekend, whlst DH and DD are int he pool. The other weekend day is vice versa - but Dh will join us in pool after work out so I can do a bit of swimming too. Will also take DD swimming (they have a children's pool and a normal pool) on a Monday and/or Friday.

There is a creche for DD, but not really planning on using it much. However once she is 3 we will pay £010 a month for her and she can then spend up to 2 hours a day in the V CLub - has soft play, computers, arts & crafts, and some activity sessions. As well as going in pool together. It is reallt family friendly

Right, now to read all today's gossip on here. What's this about teasing Enid? You lot can talk nearly as much as the TTC ladies - going to take me ages!

tentunturq · 06/01/2005 21:43

I've lost 2 pounds!
Still being good - ratatouille for supper last nigh, porridge for breakie today, boiled egg and 2 small slices of brown nimble style toast for lunch. Have had 2 walnuts, 2 apricots and a banana and a yogurt for snack. Will have ratatouille again for supper (sick of it already).
Very unpleasant side effect to this dieting - I bloated up like the auntie at the beginning of Harry Potter last night! It was very painful!
After nearly a week without wine, I am finally not thinking about it every ten seconds or so from 4 oclock onwards. Am going to keep off through the weekend too (virtuous smug thin icon).

Are dried figs ok? Please say yes, have just eaten about ten, I love them. Today I have eaten: porridge made with rice dream (low-fat) and sliced banana, lunch was two slices wholemeal toast (I know...) with Gold and marmite, tea was bowl pasta with tomato-ey sauce. My niece ate a bar of Dairy Milk bubbly in front of me, she offered to split it but I declined, hurray.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 07/01/2005 08:14

It really makes me feel better seeing what everyone else is eating and seeing how people are doing. Emmatmg, bread is my downfall too but I'm buying bread I don't like that much (wholemeal sliced organic from Asda) and having just one piece with a scrape of olive spread and marmite for breakfast. Well done ttturq! No booze for me either last night, had salmon steak, carrots and brocolli followed by a caramel snack a jack. Exciting huh?!

littlemissbossy · 07/01/2005 09:13

I'm not allowing myself any booze until Feb at the very earliest. When I might drink the Champagne in the fridge.
