Cod, I bought scales. Will not reveal weight here until I've lost some of it but I was ed, really shocked and now a bit depressed. Give us a motivational talk.

Even my dp said 'blimey, that's a lot but you really don't look as fat as that'. Nope, bikinis don't motivate me, hate the sun.

lowcalCOD · 06/01/2005 17:39

Kittypickle · 06/01/2005 17:39

Sorry Cod, had my head in the fridge, did you say something

WWW, I know it's hard, but at least you've started and you never need to be that weight again. And a pound a week until the summer will get rid of a couple of stone.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 06/01/2005 17:40

I'm NOT telling anything, no way! OK, will think sex.

TOday I have been to the gym for my first workout, since getting opg - over 3 years ago!!! Did most, but not all of my set programme. Managed 30 minutes of cardio exercise using treadmill, bike, cross trainer and rower.

And food-wise I stayed within my points too:
Milk allowance = 1
Apple = 0.5
Slimline cup-a-soup = 1
Oven chips = 3.5; Fishfingers = 3; WW bread = 2; Ketchup = 0.5; WW cheesecake dessert = 3
Total = 14.5

I tried the no carb thing last year and hated it. I felt awful and lasted TWO days! Not for me, WW points worked last time so I will stick with that.

Tomorrow is my first official weigh in day - since starting Tuesday. Me, Dh, BIL and SIL are all dieting together and I have a spreadsheet all set up for recording wieght loss each Friday, with graphs and all!

lowcalCOD · 06/01/2005 20:25

oh h you are so good
have you read th e thread?
we have been teasing enid
lolol

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 06/01/2005 20:30

WEll done hula, very impressed at gym attendance. I have walked at least 3 miles today, which is something but not as good!

emmaGotToTryHarder · 06/01/2005 20:50

HOOO-RAH!!!!

I've survived!

You will all be pleased to hear that no a single morsel of bread has passed my lips today. Not even a crust....nothing.....zilch......zero.

And when highly stressed this afternoon I went to the cupboard and actually placed hand on xmas choccys and then whipped it back. Didn't eat any!

I haven't been absolutley saintly though. Ds's had sausage roll each for lunch from the bakers while we walked the dog and I ate what they couldn't. It was only about 2 bites worth but thought I'd better confess all the same. I didn't have anything else for lunch.

Dinner was a salmon and roasted veg thing in Ikea, very nice it was too.

Finally went shopping earlier and only bought goodies for the kids that I don't like.

I'm amazed TBh that I got through the day without bread. I often get to this time of day and all I've eaten is bread and chocolate.

gingerbear · 06/01/2005 20:58

Ecellent attitude Hula. But 14 WW poinnts is low isn't it? I thought 18 was recommended?
How did you manage to get to the gym? Did DD go on a mini treadmill or was there a creche?

Have persuaded DH to move his squash night to Wed so I can start going to 'Bums and Tums' on Thursday evenings.
My exercise for today was taking pooch for a walk. However, I had DD in tow, so it was not so much a 'brisk' as a 'saunter'.
Will endeavour to speed walk for 20 mins at lunchtimes at work. (Impossible with DD, unless I stuff her in the buggy and zoom into the village).

Good day for me food wise.
Porridge, tea, 1/4 sliice of toast and marmite stuffed in my mouth by DD (me not want any more mummy)
leftover chicken casserole with DD sized portion of oven chips (we shared)
pear, apple, peaches
homemade tom/red pepper/grated carrot pasta sauce with small portion of wholewheat spag.

NO BOOZE!!!!

Had a sneak on scales too. I have lost 3lb since Tuesday (it is all fluid in first week isn't it?)

Am dreading tomorrow night - 40th birthday bash, but it is a Ceilidh so plenty of exercise as well as drink.
Will limit myself to 3 vodka and slimline tonics, then drink lots of tonic so I think I am still boozing. (would prefer a nice bottle of red wine though)
