Am I allowed in??

I started my diet yesterday and I go skiing in 10 days time. Therefore I have to get fit and lose a couple of stone in 10 days!!! I am on a bit of a detox till the end of the week, and then healthy eating for another week. Hopefully teh skiing will mean I can eat what I want. I NEED to lose 7lbs by the end of Jan

Yesterday I ate
Freshly squeezed juice and black tea for breakfast
Veggie sticks for lunch
Fruit salad for snack
Mushrooms/leeks/asparagus stir fry thing, with natural yoghurt
4 Oatcakes
2 lt water!!

Also 1/2 hr powerwalk at lunchtime, I have signed up to the moonwalk so I have 6 months to get fitter enough to do a marathon

Today I ate
Fresh juice/tea for breakfast
Veggie sticks for lunch
Fruit salad for snack

and I am sitting here starving hungry for another 1/2 hr. I have drunk neraly 2 lt of water already. Tonight I have the joy of brocolli/cauliflower sprinkled with parmesan and black pepper!! (I think I'll bung a potato in the oven just in case it doesn't sound too appitising

crunchie · 05/01/2005 17:20

Oh I shouldn't need to change my name it is chocolatey enough already!!

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 05/01/2005 17:25

right, its kids tea that is the problem - just ate three large spoons of bolognaise sauce - homemade, and I make it so well, with pancetta and lots of olive oil and mushrooms and I could see it there, glistening and flirtingly sprinkled with parmesan, it was too tempting, I couldnt help it.

Berate me please localcod I deserve it

tentunturq · 05/01/2005 17:36

I gobbled up my children's leftovers on monday and that was cold congealed campbells meatballs and pasta - so obviously lovely homemade stuff is irresistable and you can't be held accountable Enid.
I have been good today - lunch just a bit of cold chicken and tomato, black coffee and a yogurt. No snacks so far AND (I have to keep repeating this as I can't quite believe it myself) nobooze since friday. My liver must think it's been transplanted.

lowcalCOD · 05/01/2005 17:46

three very big?
i had two spoons of shep pie
dont hink it will kill you

Hulababy · 05/01/2005 17:52

Day two for me. No gym today. But kept to diet. Not had tea yet, but it is in the process of being made. So food for today:

Breakfast - apple, coffee (0.5 points)
Lunch - salad, with olives and sun dried tomatoes; WW fromage frais (1.5 points)
Milk allowance (1 point)
Dinner - Noodles (3 points); stir fried veggies in oil spray (0 points); WW dessert (3 points)

Total points so far is just 9 points though, so need more food. Might ask DH to bring some pittas in maybe. Think one of those pittas is 2.5 so one of those as well would be better.

lowcalCOD · 05/01/2005 17:57

cd reckons the ditet is making me pick fights

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 05/01/2005 20:40

Enid, I made bolognase too but without beef, with kidney beans and lots of tomatoes and not much oil and we had it instead of lentil hot pot, it was lovely. Yours sounds nicer though. Turq, well done on the No booze. Me neither tonight and it's HARD and I'm HUNGRY ffs!

BearessLite · 05/01/2005 22:10

Enid - did the description of the bolognaise need to be quite so graphic? I went to lie down after putting ds to bed as have stinky cold and my lovely no-fat chicken & veg casserole wasn't going to be ready for another hour... and as I was lying there all I could think about was pancetta and parmesan Have been good today though, apart from one fifth of french bread cheese & tomato pizza belonging to ds - well he offered, and I'm always telling him to share! Reeeeeeeally need a glass of red though.

milliways · 05/01/2005 22:16

I have just finished a mountain of ironing, and my normal reward is a large glass of wine! What am I allowed now - is it another large glass of water? Or do I just enjoy knowing not a single thing needs ironing - until I empty the machine in the morning

emmatmg · 06/01/2005 07:34

Ok, new day today.

No breakky yet but NO BREAD

will report in later on how I cope.............

littlemissbossy · 06/01/2005 07:53

coddy, the pasta sauce was tomato and mushroom, delicious, but went to bed feeling hungry, hoping for a good day

SlimlineDryGinger · 06/01/2005 08:24

emma, did you like my dieting name suggestion?

emmagonnagiveyouup

I have had a cup of tea so far (not green though)

Brekky will be porridge again. At home today, so must think of things to do out of the kitchen. DD has just informed me that she wants to BAKE today.....gulp....

emmatmg · 06/01/2005 08:31

Ooooo sorry I missed that one. Have been think too.......

Breakfast was Mini weetabix things, honey flavoured, skimmed milk.

How many cups of tea/coffee so you all drink in a day? I have about 5 or 6 cups of tea, which seem like loads. Is it?

Drinking glasses and glasses of water fills me with dread.

chocfreeclary · 06/01/2005 08:38

have decided on this as my name (tho thanks for your idea ginger) as this is my main aim...
(ate sooo much choc at christmas, the kids were asking for it at breakfast time!)
so far today, muesli, apple, lots of water (3 big glasses)
emma, I would try to cut down the tea and coffee, not that it's high in cals but I think it prevents you from losing weight....unscientific but when I stopped drinking coffee (when 1st pg) was when I lost lots of weight (mind you, also gave up alcohol

emmaGotToTryHarder · 06/01/2005 08:53

This one is rubiish......I'll think again

(Ginge....gonnagiveyouup?......give YOu.....who's you?)

lowcalCOD · 06/01/2005 08:59

emmaGotToTryHarder · 06/01/2005 09:12

iota · 06/01/2005 09:31

So it's been 3 days of restraint now - and no booze. I'm thinking thin, feeling thin - why aren't the scales budging?

I want RESULTS

lowcalCOD · 06/01/2005 09:32
