Hello hello hello
Welcome to the September thread:
Our first full month and it is a fresh start all around, lets eat well, move more and get those scales on the run.
DS is starting nursery and I have a lovely dress to fit into for DD christening so there is everything to play for.
I am hoping to amass golden days aplenty and wave goodbye to those lindas FOREVER or until I decide to have another baby

My stats for the month:
SW 11lb6
CW 11lb3
GW 9lb6

Goal for the month - 7lbs off and fit into the dress I have bagged for DDs christening

Cant believe it September! Keen for a 7 lbs target for sept, that’d be amazing!
SW 11st
CW 10 stones 8 lbs
GW 9 stone 10 lbs
Mini GW Sept 10 stone 1lb

I’ve got my daughters birthday & my best friends wedding this month so we’ll see how it goes!! 🤞

SushiSuave · 31/08/2023 19:41

Thanks for the new thread @HairsprayBabe. I've got my mojo back today and the cravings have stopped: I've done my 10,000 steps and only eaten 1080cal (so a few left for a snack in front of the tv tonight!).

SW: 11st 11lb
CW: 11st 4lb
GW: 9st 6lb

Mini goal for September is to lose 2lb per week and get down to 10st 10lb by the end of the month. Good luck everyone!

DrunkenKoala · 31/08/2023 20:15

I’ve just read the Aug thread and I’d like to join this one please.

SW 15.4
CW 14.7
GW 10.10 (BMI 21)

Between Easter 2022 and July 2023 I lost 1st.2lbs (6/7lbs of that was once I started on HRT at the beg June 23 and upping me protein and lowering my carbs). I put about 7lbs back on over the summer holidays (was eating loads of carbs again but cut back down again in the last week and a half and have managed to lose 2lbs again in the last week.

Anyway kids are back to school next week and I should be back in my usual exercise routine - normally swim 2kms a week, do weights and hula hooping.

Hoping that by 30 Sept I’ll be down to 14st.

FattyAl · 31/08/2023 20:24

Please can I join, I have been faffing with the same 5lbs for what feels like forever.

Good morning September Slenderistas!

I don't know how I'm doing, won't weigh until Monday.

I'm eating plenty of fibre and getting lots of executive so hopefully the odd ice cream or fudge won't be too bad!

I'm going to set a target of losing half a stone by Christmas, while eating normally. So that's 2 lindas a month.
SW 92kg
GW 89kg

BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2023 07:43

well good morning and hello September! September is a classic ‘reset’ month isn’t it? All that fun in the sun 🤷‍♀️ this summer and now It’s back to routine. Let’s welcome that!

I’ve lost a massive 0.2lbs this week. Yip de doo. There was a bh weekend of excess in there so can’t complain too much. I’m aiming for 5lbs off in September. That’ll be an achievement in itself for me.

hello to newbies by the way 👋

Hyppogriff · 01/09/2023 08:44

Yesssssss reset for September !!

ShellySarah · 01/09/2023 09:18

Hi

So I lost 10kg getting to goal weight in 2018. It has slowly crept on a couple of kg a year and now I'm right back to starting.

I used to exercise lots but don't have the time anymore. Doing it with diet, I don't seem to lose weight unless I literally eat nothing.

I don't know where to start.

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 01/09/2023 09:34

Hello! Placemarking. Might actually contribute to this one has hoping to lose maybe 4lbs in 6 weeks or so… slow and steady!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2023 10:04

Hello Queenie! 👋

I have no choice but to be slow and steady - that’s all that happens now I’m menopausal. Patience, as my mom would say, is a virtue!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2023 10:06

That’s all it takes isn’t it @ShellySarah a couple of pounds here and there! It’s so disheartening. But you are now in the right place to get going!

BMIwoes · 01/09/2023 10:09

Hello can I join? Currently on holiday so can't weigh properly but based on clothes fit I can have a good guess. I'd like to do a slow and steady 1lb per week. Aiming for 100g protein and 1500 cals per day, 10k steps, and exercise 2 x per week.

SW approx 11 stone 9
GW 9 stone

HairsprayBabe · 01/09/2023 10:38

Hello newbies welcome to the best thread on mumsnet (tm)
@ShellySarah @Rubyruby2222 @BMIwoes @FattyAl @DrunkenKoala

All sizes and methods are welcome here, I do a combo of lower carb, higher protein, intermittent fasting.

I had a decent day yesterday but forgot to weigh this morning because DS had managed to lock himself into his wardrobe and barricade his room shut by opening a drawer over the door. Three year olds are a DELIGHT 😑

We are taking the littles to the pictures tomorrow I MUST not get any snacks for myself. I might get a very large skinny sugar free coffee to distract myself from my progeny scarfing down the pick and mix.

It is miserable here, I am feeling soup weather always good for a diet!

Hello all! I weigh 90.6kg and would love to get down a few kgs in the next few month. (I find kgs less emotive than lbs, which take me back to WW and SW days). I need to kick the sweets and puddlings and get back into preparing my own food and enjoying cooking. Fibre and protein and veg seem the way to go for me but not limiting carbs too much. I did the Zoe plan a few months ago and got a free new month which I'll do once I'm back from holiday next week. It turns out they'd just estimated my score rather than using the blood sample I'd sent 🙄. I convinced myself prior to joining it would be the holy grail because once i knew my unique food requirements all I needed to do was follow that. Well, turns out avoiding chocolate is still hard...!

Jezzballs2000 · 01/09/2023 11:22

@HairsprayBabe i also have a three year old, wet the bed last night so currently exhausted and craving sweets due to broken sleep!

Hyppogriff · 01/09/2023 12:45

Cinema is my snack heaven - don’t know how id get through it without a bucket of popcorn and a sharer bag of malteasers (to myself eek!)
welcome newbies (I’ve only been on a week myself!)
weigh in tomorrow - reckon will have put on while we’ve been away this week but overall not as much as would usually be on hols so that’s something !
just did a 9 mile run feeling knackered but a little better after dinner and drinks out last night and the day before last!

TVxhubClaire · 01/09/2023 14:59

thank you for the new thread @HairsprayBabe

Well September starts as August did...12st 10 this morning, a promising 12st 8 weigh in last week disappeared in the blink of an eye.😒

I must be better this month...I must be better this month...

4 Lindas down in September (or maybe 5) would be just fab...fingers crossed🙃

pickledandpuzzled · 01/09/2023 15:06

I've taken a tub of frozen pea and sweetcorn to the cinema. Fills the nibbling spot!

Start by eating more- veg of all kinds, and lean protein. Stop thinking about what you can't have and focus on what you can have.

Get fat free yogurt/cottage cheese and eat a load of that to help your calcium.

And don't bet yourself up!

jessie2023x · 01/09/2023 15:16

Hello all, this was just the thread i was looking for, please can i join.
I will admit i am lacking in motivation today as i didn't loose any weight this week and worked out all week and no snacks.
Onward and upwards and i think this thread might help

SW Jan 23 14st 13 lbs
CW 12 stones 8 lbs
GW 11 stone 0 lbs
Mini GW end of Sept 12 stone 0lb

Good luck everyone

Newbornmum · 01/09/2023 17:01

Hi everyone 👋 newbies and non newbies 😊🌻

Thanks for the new thread!

My goal is to lose 1kg a week this month. I managed that the last couple of weeks - really hoping I'll have managed it again when I weigh on Monday... I daren't weigh sooner lol. Not sure how I'm doing so far this week. A bit up and down I think. We have family visiting this weekend and they brought pie and chips with them for lunch. I only had a little bit and have just been on a long walk with DS in his carrier to try and get him to sleep. His sleep is still rubbish and I'm finding that's making it a lot harder but we've hit the 8 week mark now so hopefully he'll start sleeping for longer periods. I'm not managing to fit in any other exercise apart from long walks with him in his carrier but I'm doing that regularly and walking into town, to baby groups etc so that's a start.

Enchiladas and salad for tea tonight. I need to think of something easy and quick (aka bung in the oven) for tomorrow so we don't end up with takeaway (lovely as that would be!)

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend coming up 🌻💕

BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2023 17:33

@jessie2023x i bet you’ll have a whoosh next week 🤞
