Hello hello hello
Welcome to the September thread:
Our first full month and it is a fresh start all around, lets eat well, move more and get those scales on the run.
DS is starting nursery and I have a lovely dress to fit into for DD christening so there is everything to play for.
I am hoping to amass golden days aplenty and wave goodbye to those lindas FOREVER or until I decide to have another baby

My stats for the month:
SW 11lb6
CW 11lb3
GW 9lb6

Goal for the month - 7lbs off and fit into the dress I have bagged for DDs christening

I know I'm very late to the party but can I join you please? I started my own thread earlier ( think first thread I've started in 18 years of lurking around on MM!)

Losing & gaining the same 5lbs for what seems like years.

SW 11st 6lbs
CW 11st 3lbs
1st GW 10st 7lbs
GW 10st

Good luck to all of us.

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2023 07:10

Morning all, I wok up at just after six randomly before anyone else was awake and I have had a lovely quiet hour pottering round the house by myself drinking my coffee and feeling very zen.

About to go wake up the little monsters now and chaos will reign again! And yes my one year old and three year old both sleep past 7am - God knew I was weak and couldn't handle real toddler wake up times when he was handing out children's sleep patterns.

11.1 again for me this morning I think although it was hard to read the scales as the bathroom was still fairly dark.

also @dottyhenson it is never too late to join, welcome :)

First weigh-in

-2lbs. Pleased with that. Finding the cc easier than before.

Good luck everyone

BMIwoes · 06/09/2023 08:16

Morning all, day 4 for me and so far so good. I'm sticking to around 1500 cals and this feels pretty doable in terms of being able to eat with family etc. I've not cut out carbs at all and yet still am dropping water weight this week which is interesting, I thought the first week whoosh was only when you were doing low carb.

SW 11.11
CW 11.8 (and 3/4)
GW 9st

Bananas1350 · 06/09/2023 08:19

Not sure how much I loose on the scales this week. But I went to scratch my face earlier and it felt different? If that makes sense. Wasn’t as chubby. Also when I took my pjs off it felt different round my hips. So I’m happy with that. Weigh in day tomorrow
@Rubyruby2222 well done!!!!!

wheresmyshoe · 06/09/2023 08:26

I need to join for motivation please, it helped last time:

SW: April 11st 8lbs
CW: 11st 2lbs
TW: 10st
Mini Sept TW: 10st 12lbs

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2023 09:06

@wheresmyshoe welcome hello :) we are more than here for motivation!

Isn't it interesting how many of us hit the 11s and decide that is the moment to do something

11lb4 puts me overweight so I know that's why it hits for me.

Thank you @Bananas1350 & @Limonatamum 🙏

I’ve managed the walk to school today with a little added on, made it to 5k steps so that’s a start. Back in hospital this afternoon with my mum so todays set to be fairly busy for me. Food wise I’ll stick ti water/tea/coffee & fruit until dinner tonight. I’ll make a quick salmon salad I think as it’s so warm.

monicascloset · 06/09/2023 10:34

I had a nice long walk this morning to kick start me off. The dog is shattered.

I think my weight loss will be very slow because I’m making small, manageable changes that will hopefully be long term. I’ve done low carb bootcamp before and it’s not sustainable for me.

pickledandpuzzled · 06/09/2023 11:53

One on after my holiday. Can't complain!

Will see what next week brings.

TodayForTomorrow · 06/09/2023 20:00

A two Linda whoosh this morning! Definitey period related but I will take the progress

SW 14st 10
CW 14st 7

Bananas1350 · 07/09/2023 06:43

Morning all. Weigh in day for me on a Thursday. Lost two pounds.

sw - 13.1
cw - 12.4

better than nothing. Did find that if u move the scales round the bathroom my weight changes. So not sure it’s at all accurate 😂

found this out as it said I had put on four pounds. And seeing that I’m on a low fat 900 calorie diet I felt that was wrong. 😂

mushroommummy · 07/09/2023 07:45

@Bananas1350 lol well done!! Might try that on an bad day.

@TodayForTomorrow well done on your two “Linda’s” lol 😂 I’ll be calling it that from now onwards.

Had visitors down last night & completely forgot about dinner (they called unexpectedly & had already eaten). We sat in the garden all evening then at 10pm I realised I was hungry & ate a slice of toast which I know will do me harm as all white carbs do.

School walk now then take the dog to the park should get me decent step count this morning.

HairsprayBabe · 07/09/2023 08:48

Morning all
11st bang on this morning we are cooking on gas! Its just over 2 weeks to my daughters christening so in theory I'll be well into the 10s by then!

Did a big walk at lunch time yesterday as well as being golden with food, although I don't find it difficult in this weather its too hot to eat. The heat is making my children so crochety, and I'm not far behind them.

What's on the menu for today all?

wheresmyshoe · 07/09/2023 09:07

Well done @HairsprayBabe it will be so satisfying to breach that 11st mark.

I'm on MFP tracked 1200 calories and will have roast chickpeas and beetroot with Lebanese spices for my main meal of the day. Yum!

HairsprayBabe · 07/09/2023 10:34

oooh that sounds really good! @wheresmyshoe

monicascloset · 07/09/2023 14:29

Just did a mid afternoon weigh (usually a depressing mistake) but I am 10st 13lb which I’m really happy about.

Newbornmum · 07/09/2023 15:24

Thanks @pipickledandpuzzled and @TodayForTomorrow 😊 Definitely good to have somewhere to vent. Poor DH must be fed up of it (even if he pretends otherwise bless him!)

Well done on the progress all! I braved the scales today. I usually weigh on Monday but wussed out this week. 61kg so that's nearly a kilo off in a week and a half since I last weighed so pretty happy with that. That's 3kg overall so far - not sure I'm seeing the progress but guess I have to trust the process.

I missed the September goal setting oops sorry. So here goes...

SW 64kg
CW 61kg
GW 52kg

Hoping to lose 1kg a week for the last 3 weeks of the month. Bridesmaid dress arriving this week. Eeeek!

No idea yet what to have for tea so will hopefully see some inspiration here :) x

SushiSuave · 07/09/2023 18:35

Well done on all the progress here ladies!

I've had a good week so far. Back at work now and I'm only eating lunch and dinner. Have managed to stick to about 1,100 calories per day and I'm walking an average of about 9000 steps. Just hoping to be 11.4 or lower when I weigh on Sunday after a hormonal binge last week!

Agree that this hot weather makes my appetite disappear... not so sure I'll be able to resist the pastry and mash when the autumn arrives!

BitOutOfPractice · 07/09/2023 18:45

Hello. Sorry I have been absent. I have been having an extremely stressful time at work and feeling really fed up with the dieting thang. I have not given in though and had A gratifying weigh in this morning. 11.6lbs lost in total now.

right, off to the gym and then I’ll catch up with you all.

Hyppogriff · 07/09/2023 22:40

Ooh @HairsprayBabe sounds like we’re similar ! I was a shade over 11st today (down from just over 12 in mid august !) aiming for another half stone before mid October !

well done everyone ! It’s sooooooo hot which makes exercise awful!!

been good all week but the chances of a blow out this weekend are HIGH!! Lots going on so will try and exercise SOME restraint. Also AF due tomorrow which never helps !!

pixienewbie · 08/09/2023 06:28

I've weighed today but my scales are rubbish so don't really trust them. They show a loss so I'll take that. I've definitely been better this week: more active, no big binges of junk food. Just need to still eat less carbs and stop picking at the kids' leftovers.

Well done to all.

Bananas1350 · 08/09/2023 06:38

Whooooop. I had some old jeans fhay I wanted to get back into. Had them hanging on the hook. Tried them today and I can get the button done up!!!! I mean I cannot breathe in them and wouldn’t want to bend 😂 but the button closed. I may actually have trousers for the winter.

jessie2023x · 08/09/2023 06:55

Well done everyone, don’t know about anyone else but I am struggling to work out in the heat, missed it last night and now I am annoyed.
Anyway weigh in day
01/09- 12 stone 8lb
08/09- 12 stone 6.4lb
Not as much of a loss as I would have liked but going in the right direction.
I am also in competition with my husband and he lost 3lb this week. He’s beaten me 2 weeks in a row now. Need to up my game lol 😂
